Summary: Mami wakes up after almost being decapitated by Charlotte.
Warnings: Magical girl in despair, but other than that, nothing!



Room 3-01
[ Mami was certain that she was dead. There was no way she could have escaped that witch.

But this wasn't heaven, or even Hell for that matter. Though, after reading the letter she received, she thought Hell would have been a much better option for her. The world was gone, apparently, meaning she failed to save Madoka and Sayaka too. She was alone again.

If you're her roommate, feel free to break the silence. ]



Cafeteria
[ She had finished the oatmeal. It was bland and tasteless, but it was something to help fill the pit that was forming in her stomach. But no matter how much food she could eat, she knew that it wouldn't help her ease the loneliness she was feeling.

Mami rests her cheek on her hand, watching the people that were passing through the cafeteria. ]



Library
I apologize for bothering you, but there aren't any books here that could explain our situation better, right?

[ It was worth a try to ask someone. There had to be some book laying around here about what kind of apocalypse happened. She gave a soft smile as her hands were behind her back, waiting for some kind of answer. ]



Floor Four
[ Her journey through the tower mostly ended for the day with the fourth floor. This setting was rather depressing, wasn't it? She sat on one of the sofas, legs crossed gracefully as she stared outside the glass.

Everyone was gone. She couldn't wrap her thoughts around that. The tears that were forming stung her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. Magical girls didn't cry, after all.

But maybe once, she could allow a few tears to slip out. ]

Hey there.

[A girl seemingly made of metal and wearing a Japanese school uniform leaned forward to be near Mami's eye level, smiling. She spoke in a voice with a somewhat coarse accent, but sounded kind and sincere.]

D'you mind if I sit here? Ya look kinda lonely.

I don't think there's many books that explain living.

[ Yes, she's taking 'our situation' way too literally here.. but then again, she doesn't quite seem to realise either that Mami is new, so she's just blankly staring at the other girl. ]

[Shion, bundled up as well as he could be with clothes that didn't quite fit him anymore against the cold and holding a stack of books turned to her.] Not really any books, there is no information on the tower, but there is a lot of information on the network.

Cafeteria

[ One of the people passing by happens to be Sayaka, and she doesn't look too happy - nutrient bars? Seriously?

At least she seems to mellow down when she sees Mami, what with seeing her eat the oatmeal. ]

I suppose you're new here? [ Offering a smile, the bad mood of earlier be damned. ]

Floor 4

[V/V turned from where she was sitting on another sofa and tilted her head, wings drooping a little.] You look sad.

[carabina]

[ Mami looks up, her eyes meeting with the other girl's own eyes. She puts a soft smile on her face and gives a nod. ]

That's fine, I don't mind. [ a beat. ] I guess... I miss home a bit. [ More like she missed her friends, feeling guilty that she couldn't save her "kouhais". ]

[carabina]

[ Luckily, Mami is a patient person. ]

Oh, I mean our situation in the tower. Are there any books about the tower, what destroyed our world - anything like that...?

[carabina]

That's a shame. You would think that since they saved us, they could at least tell us about this place...

[ a beat. ]

Network...?

[carabina]

New... I guess that's the right word. [ A sigh leaves her lips before she straightens her posture a bit. Well, there was no need to give off any negative energy. She offers her a kind smile. ]

Would you like to sit down? I don't mind company.

[carabina]

[ There's a slight silence as Mami wipes away any more tears that formed. She gives her a soft, sad smile. ]

I suppose I've had better days.

[heavenscorpse]

It'll be okay. Every bad thing ends, even being stuck in the tower. So I'm sure it will be fine soon.

It's okay if ya miss home. I think all a' us do.

[Labrys sat down next to her, red and silver metallic hands folded in her lap.]

I'm Labrys. What's your name, huh?

Making us feel secure or comfortable is not on their list of priorities. [He gave her a reasuring smile, not wanting to scare her too much.] A computer network, it receives no information from outside of the tower but it allows communication between those stuck here. Someone wrote a basic welcome guide that explains things quite well. I can show you it if you like.

The Library

[Tohko smiled sadly at the blonde girl. Another new person. Well..it was the beginning of the month. The timing was right.]

I'm sorry..if there were any books around that did, I would show them to you. But there aren't. However, if you want, I can tell you about this place. By the way, what's your name?

[carabina]

It would make sense if we all did. [ She doesn't mention that she feels a bit lonely, being here without her new-found friends, but she doesn't want to worry the girl anymore. ]

Mami. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[carabina]

Obviously. [ This bothers her. She's not afraid, it just bothers her not being in her own territory. ] Ah, yes. That would be very helpful. Thank you.

[carabina]

I hope so.

[ Her optimism impresses Mami. It reminds her of Madoka. ]

My name is Mami, by the way. Mami Tomoe. And you are?

[fuhgeddaboudit]

Same here. I'd offer t'shake your hand, but mine're kinda cold today.

[She laughed, seemingly trying to put Mami a little more at ease.]

Didja just get here?

I figured as much. It's not wrong to double check, just in case.

That would be helpful, thank you. Mami Tomoe, a pleasure to meet you...?

It's V/V. Nice to meet you, Mami. Are you new here?

[carabina]

It's the thought that counts.

[ A soft laugh. ]

Yes, sadly. This place is... Big.

[carabina]

V/V. It's nice to meet you as well. And yes, I'm new here. I take it you've been here for a while?

[Tohko's smile this time was actually happy.]

It's nice to meet you, Mami. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl. Let's see..first of all, death here is not permanent. If you die, you will just wake up in your bed the next day. However, you probably will get punished if you die too many times, so be careful.

If you haven't been to the cafeteria yet, make sure you eat the oatmeal when you go. I know it's gross, but if you eat something else before you eat the oatmeal, you'll throw up. However, you can add things to the oatmeal to improve the taste, and you can eat anything you want once you're done.

Next, monsters roam the hallways at night. If you don't know how to fight, I suggest you start learning from someone here.

As far as I know, there are four people who run this building-Jason, Dax, Ruana, and Riki. There may be more, but those are the ones I know about. Dax is the most humane person of the bunch, Riki is pretty mysterious, Jason will perform horrible experiments on the residents, and Ruana, in my opinion, is worse than Jason. They will lie to you and not give you information, so take everything they say with a grain of salt.

And..that should be everything. [Tohko finished her explanation, nodding to herself.]

Most a' the floors are pretty dangerous t' just stumble into. So be careful, alright?
