oo1 | Annie Grab Your Gun
Characters: Mami Tomoe and Y O U
Setting: Room 3-01, Cafeteria, floor three and floor four
Format: Starting with action, but I'll match.
Summary: Mami wakes up after almost being decapitated by Charlotte.
Warnings: Magical girl in despair, but other than that, nothing!
Room 3-01
[ Mami was certain that she was dead. There was no way she could have escaped that witch.
But this wasn't heaven, or even Hell for that matter. Though, after reading the letter she received, she thought Hell would have been a much better option for her. The world was gone, apparently, meaning she failed to save Madoka and Sayaka too. She was alone again.
If you're her roommate, feel free to break the silence. ]
Cafeteria
[ She had finished the oatmeal. It was bland and tasteless, but it was something to help fill the pit that was forming in her stomach. But no matter how much food she could eat, she knew that it wouldn't help her ease the loneliness she was feeling.
Mami rests her cheek on her hand, watching the people that were passing through the cafeteria. ]
Library
I apologize for bothering you, but there aren't any books here that could explain our situation better, right?
[ It was worth a try to ask someone. There had to be some book laying around here about what kind of apocalypse happened. She gave a soft smile as her hands were behind her back, waiting for some kind of answer. ]
Floor Four
[ Her journey through the tower mostly ended for the day with the fourth floor. This setting was rather depressing, wasn't it? She sat on one of the sofas, legs crossed gracefully as she stared outside the glass.
Everyone was gone. She couldn't wrap her thoughts around that. The tears that were forming stung her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. Magical girls didn't cry, after all.
But maybe once, she could allow a few tears to slip out. ]

floor four
[A girl seemingly made of metal and wearing a Japanese school uniform leaned forward to be near Mami's eye level, smiling. She spoke in a voice with a somewhat coarse accent, but sounded kind and sincere.]
D'you mind if I sit here? Ya look kinda lonely.

That's fine, I don't mind. [ a beat. ] I guess... I miss home a bit. [ More like she missed her friends, feeling guilty that she couldn't save her "kouhais". ]

[ Yes, she's taking 'our situation' way too literally here.. but then again, she doesn't quite seem to realise either that Mami is new, so she's just blankly staring at the other girl. ]

Oh, I mean our situation in the tower. Are there any books about the tower, what destroyed our world - anything like that...?

At least she seems to mellow down when she sees Mami, what with seeing her eat the oatmeal. ]
I suppose you're new here? [ Offering a smile, the bad mood of earlier be damned. ]

Would you like to sit down? I don't mind company.

The Library
I'm sorry..if there were any books around that did, I would show them to you. But there aren't. However, if you want, I can tell you about this place. By the way, what's your name?

That would be helpful, thank you. Mami Tomoe, a pleasure to meet you...?

I-It's nothing, really. I guess the fact that our worlds are gone finally sunk in. I'll get over it, though. [ Perhaps it was for the better. At least all of the witches were gone, or so she thought. She's silent for a few minutes, giving a sad smile. ]
I'm alone again.

Homura has been having a rotten tower stay. Having heard that Madoka no longer trusts her doesn't set well in the pit of Homura's stomach. She's been patrolling the tower regularly to keep herself busy, keep herself distracted, keep herself focused. And now, of all people to see when she's feeling a few cracks of uncertainty in her mask, there's Mami. ]
... Tomoe Mami. [ She's hesitant to speak out. The Mami that was here before was kind to her. She had come from a happy world, where everyone survived and Madoka never contracted.
But Homura knows that is unlikely in this case. Statistically speaking, there's a low chance that this Mami Tomoe will like Homura very much. She braces herself for the possibility as she approaches. ] ... So you're here now too.

Mami never really hated Homura, but she did need a slight attitude adjustment. After all, Homura was pretty hostile to her without any reason and she frightened Madoka. She had tried to get along with the mysterious girl but nothing seemed to have worked out between them. It was a relationship that seemed broken and unable to be repaired.
However, the familiar face did cause her some comfort and if Homura was the only survivor with her, then she would try her best to be civil. ]
... Akemi-san. It's nice to see you. [ You were right about that witch was what she wanted to say as well, but what Homura said caught her ears. ]
I'm here too? Does that mean...? [ the others were here as well. ]

intacthead not far from where she's standing. Luckily, she's finished her oatmeal, so the broken bowl at her feet is pretty much clean. ]T-Tomoe-san?!

She chooses not to think too hard about any of that. Instead she flops down on the couch next to Mami without bothering to ask permission. One hand initially moves to touch her--to comfort her friend in the way that she thinks that Mami might do for her. It winds up on the back of the sofa instead as she takes quick bites out of a nutrition bar. Knowing Mami, there might be an easier way to comfort her, anyhow.]
If you're worried about those two, they're both here.

So it seems I am a tad late. I guess my head was up in the clouds and not paying attention.
[ Or you know, in a witch's mouth.
Yeah. ]
It's nice to see you, again. Have you been well?

It's no trouble at all! [She gives the other girl a friendly smile, but after a moment her expression darkens a bit.] Unfortunately, I don't think anybody's ever been able to find any books on the Tower, though.
