Angry mob plot part 2; Wednesday the 5th

[A familiar face. An infuriating face. Jason, the man who had tampered with his soul. Jason, the man who had almost caused him to lose his identity. Jason, the man who caused this freezing weather that might make Ayaka catch ill.]

Jason!

[Before anyone can stop him, and likely before anyone else can react, Lancer charges forward. Gae Bolg is held in his hands, but he doesn't know if he wants to sully his spear. He really feels more like punching the fucker instead.]

Yes?

[Two retrieval units step in front of Jason at a ridiculously fast speed--he'll need to try to cut through them to get to Jason himself.]

[puppy_lancer]

[Without even thinking about it, he swings his cursed spear at the retrieval units, aiming to cut them apart with with the blade of his lance.]

[animusnpcs]

[Upon contact with the retrieval units, Gae Bolg vanishes as if it had never been there at all.]

I'll be kind enough to give that back to you tomorrow.

[Asako follows that up with an Elec Dance. Random lightning damage to an enemy group? Yes please.]

[animusnpcs]

[As with the weapon, the electricity vanishes before it reaches Jason, as if the retrieval units had absorbed it all in an instant.]

You're wasting your time.

You...bastard!

[Even if Gae Bolg is gone, he can just use his fists. Hell, it'll be more satisfying this way. Thus, he swings his fist at one of the drones' faces.]

[That will prove as effective (and painful) as a five-year-old attempting to beat down a brick wall. Jason presses a button on his watch and Lancer will lose the ability to stand.]

Sit.

[puppy_lancer]

[The first thing he notices is that with all of his A ranked strength, punching the drone still hurts his hand. The next thing he notices is the order. He opens his mouth to yell at Jason to not order him around like a dog, but never gets the chance. Somehow it's like someone pulled his legs out from under him. He lands butt-first on the ground.]

Dammit! Don't underestimate me!

[He reaches out to grab one of the retrieval units' legs.]

[Jason disables his arms next.]

Stay. And maybe be a bit more reasonable? No, that's probably too complicated.

[puppy_lancer]

[In this case, there's only one thing to do. He drops flat to the ground and starts rolling toward Jason.]

[animusnpcs]

[Jason rolls his eyes. One of the retrieval units will step down on him enough to stop him from rolling around.]

I didn't tell you to roll over.

[puppy_lancer]

I'm not a dog!

[He starts doing his best to sit up, though it's hard with both arms and legs disabled.]

You're going to heel anyway.

[The retrieval unit holding him down picks him up now. It walks into the administrative elevator with him and vanishes.]

[She notices. Why, it's just like that thing under the bed...!]

Does this mean we're gonna have to toss you out the window too?

[She doesn't sound opposed to this, and joins Lancer in punching the drones.]

[animusnpcs]

[She'll suffer much the same problems: it's ineffective and painful to do, for one, and Jason ends up disabling her limbs for another. He only disables her arms, though.]

I doubt you'll be able to, like that.

Watch me!

[She has survived the bullshit of the Lockdown. She's survived the Tower, up until now. This? This is not going to defeat her. And even if it does, she's just gonna come back - like she did with the costumes.

She attempts to just plain charge headfirst past the bots to hurt Jason. Somehow.]

[Jason disables just her right leg this time. The retrieval units stand like a wall to block her way.]

You're embarrassing yourself.

Am I really... GO!

[She is, after all, a demon summoner...and so Norn and Garuda join the fray. Norn, being a healer, sets about casting healing spells on the other combatants - or trying to, anyway. Garuda? Is going to try to punch Jason.

Asako, meanwhile, is going to try her very best to...scan the opponents' status. It's a thing, and since she can't exactly join in the fray right now, she may as well do what she can do. Any weaknesses? No? Is this going to fry her brain?]

[The retrieval units, still in front of Jason, touch and delete Garuda from existence--Garuda will, for the moment, be completely incapable of being resummoned. As for the healing, it will apply to regular wounds, but any disabling of limbs or abilities Jason has caused remain in effect.

Scanning, meanwhile, turns up enough contradictory, impossible, Eldterich information to be extremely painful to look at for any length of time.]

[She coughs violently, staggering and falling over since she can't use her arms to steady herself. There's bile rising in the back of her throat at what she saw. It is wrong, it is WRONG WRONG WRONG and she tries to back out of scanning as soon as possible but it hurts it hurts it hurts it's wrong nothing is supposed to look like that-
