Format: I'll start with action, but I'll match you.
Summary: STRONG troll attempts to take on the cold. The cold wins this round.
Warnings: Darkleer being a god tier passive aggressive bitch, since he's in a foul mood. Exploding things. A troll that will snap your spine like breadsticks if you piss him off.

[The first rule of making anything is choosing the right materials for the task. The problem here is that the right materials for the task are busy shattering because it's cold and they can't really withstand Darkleer's casual strength. That's new. Though he's got the theoretical knowledge for why this is happening, it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

So by the third time the frame of this heater-to-be breaks, Darkleer is seriously considering punching something. Or someone.

That and he's growling. Never a good thing when the dignified, snotty asshole troll is growling in the back of his throat. It only heralds impressive amounts of wanton violence.]

[He nods and moves to take the bucket. He keeps a straight face but one who knew him well would conclude that a small plight of laughter sounded under his breath. His next motions is to fill the container with water, finding a rod he makes sure to stir softly.]

[Darkleer's smile is a little smug.]

I should be the one saying that here.

[And now to wait while things soften there.]

[Why thank you he is the best stick stirrer.]

[Don't go down that road, that road leads to pail jokes and Darkleer will make pail jokes. It might take you a while to realize it was a pail joke, but your brain might never recover once you realize it.]

[He doesn't sound convinced. But then, he's busy doing some stick stirring of his own, watching the metal slowly heat up.]

[And together they are strong men of the stick stirring talent.]

If i may inquire, what is that you are building?

A heater.

[He sounds somewhere between disgruntled and offended. But then he pulls the red hot metal onto the anvil, and he gets to smash it with a hammer and feel better about everything.]

[What was with that tone? Well best not to think on it.]

That is a good choice, given the recent change in temperature....

[Awkward...stirring.]

[That's his usual tone: disgruntled and annoyed.]

Yes. Some of us are not yet inured to it.

It is unfortunate to hear such a thing, but I understand why such beings would not be 'inured' to it. Such preparations can be made to make the unfortunate cold be more pleasant. I do hope you are not complaining about the cold, perhaps would you like a blanket to keep warm?

[He stirs a bit more slowly now, releasing one of his hands from the stick to gesture as he speaks.]

That's a wholly inefficient method and would get in the way of my work.

[His work is not particularly important to anyone but himself, but he'd go insane if he couldn't sit here and tinker away with nonsense all day.]

[Well that is unfortunate, but he is determined to find a solution.]

Perhaps a jacket? I'm sure we can find one somewhere that will fit such broad shoulders. Not to additive in mass so that your work may continue without complications.

I'm sure once I'm done with this the problem will be solved.

[At this point he stops stirring all together and raises a finger, to make a point.]

You simply cannot carry a heater wherever you wander. The cold is ever present surely you have means to come up with an alternative method.

[He spends all his time here, day in and day out. His life is so exciting, gosh.]

[He pauses for a moment before he laughs. Straight up laughter. ]

Which is no problem, from what I have seen you are usually one to keep to yourself and work on your tasks. A rather productive troll.

[His brow furrows a bit and he shifts a bit uncomfortably.]

[Well, that and Disciple's potential wrath, but he ain't ever mentioning that.]

[He only continues to look confused.]

[Darkleer pauses midstrike, frowning before shoving the metal back into the fire.]

[He takes in a slow but deep breath at the comment.]

[There's a minute pause. And then he goes on, as if that snippet of conversation had not happened at all. It's what Darkleer considers polite omission. He won't mention it if you don't.]

[Yay for pulling back the metal and smacking it with the hammer again.]
