I've come to warn you he's coming for you
Characters: anyone carried away by the retrieval units in the mob thread
Setting: ???
Format: any
Summary: Death is far too easy for a punishment, you know.
Warnings: psychological horror, things that go bump in the night and then bump you back
The retrieval unit dumps you, in whatever state you happen to be in, into a cell. To those familiar with Jason, this isn't the clean, polished hospital look of Jason's usual quarters. No, if anything this is an abandoned hospital. There's mold on the floor and the paint is peeling off the walls. It's certainly high tech--the door that blocks your cell is made of some sort of nearly invisible force field--but it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a few decades.
Once you're secure in your cell, you will have the ability to move your body again. All supernatural skills have been disabled--no one is more powerful than an Olympic-level human inside these cells.
Interact with your fellow prisoners?

When he's back, Richtofen finds his voice.]
Wh- [He clears his throat, trying to sound more confident than he feels.] What are you blabbering about, hound?

And that is different than any normal day in the Tower, how?
[He sounds like even more of a condescending asshole than usual. Cut him some slack, it's how he deals with succumbing to panic.]

[He leans his head back until it touches the wall. He doesn't like that the position exposes his neck, though, so he brings up his hands and forearms to cover it.]
But if you want to worry about her pointlessly, fine. Because being a bleeding heart has gotten you so far today.

[He rushes to the door again, hitting it with his fist once.]
Don't gimme that shit! Why the hell should I care about me?! Got turned into a fucking tub of butter at home, I'm dead as shit, so what's it matter?! If they're gonna bring me back after I got executed, then only thing I can do's help people who're supposed to be alive! Or deserve it, or whatever! Ain't fair if I'm fine and they're not!

Finally, he snaps.]
The difference, you naive little rat, is that the pain of others und your own pain are not even comparable! As a matter of fact, if you're dead, you should care even less about the lives of others! You have no life to return to. Why not have a bit of fun?
[Richtofen laughs loudly, and it's an uneven sound from deep within his gut that makes his voice crack.]
Death is death, und everyone dies, so you should enjoy it! [He scowls, but continues to speak with just as much fervor and conviction.] The world doesn't give a damn about you, so stop pretending like you care about the world.

World fucking hates me, nobody gave a damn, yeah! Don't give a damn about 'the world' either! But my brother-- he said you always gotta help people that need it! Women and children and people who're weak!
[He's not very good with words, so halfway through he sort of gets confused and forgets what he meant to say, but...it's something like that. He's from a bad neighbourhood and a broken family. He never had a chance. The world looked at him as 'no good' automatically. So he became 'no good'. His older brother was the only person he could trust or look up to, so, his moral teachings have stuck with Mondo. He might be a punk, but he's honourable and has high morals. And because he was killed as an act of justice for murdering Chihiro, he doesn't deserve to be alive. Therefore, with the life he now has, he has to devote it to keeping Chihiro safe, and anyone else who needs it, because he doesn't deserve this life for breaking his man's promise with his brother, and with Chihiro - and for breaking his moral code by attacking someone weak unprovoked.]

[Richtofen, on the other hand, has always been a little bit off. From the time he was a child, he'd smash his sister's dolls to hear her scream, then, later, he'd hurt animals to hear them do the same. He's always been so blinded by scientific curiosity that he sees people's deaths as simple steps to unlock greater knowledge. Be it one, ten, or even a thousand deaths, Richtofen doesn't see the problem. He's too busy worrying about himself to care about others.
Even the zombies he created back home were simple toys for his amusement. While his partner was trying to revive dead soldiers to aid their country and win the war, Richtofen saw them as little more than particularly deadly experiments - experiments that he gladly let murder his colleagues as soon as he found their company useless. He felt no remorse for the fact that the zombies went wherever he did, targeting both people who helped him and innocents in the area.
Death is death, and Richtofen will shed no tears for anyone who meets their demise, whether he knows them or not.]
