The retrieval unit dumps you, in whatever state you happen to be in, into a cell. To those familiar with Jason, this isn't the clean, polished hospital look of Jason's usual quarters. No, if anything this is an abandoned hospital. There's mold on the floor and the paint is peeling off the walls. It's certainly high tech--the door that blocks your cell is made of some sort of nearly invisible force field--but it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a few decades.

Once you're secure in your cell, you will have the ability to move your body again. All supernatural skills have been disabled--no one is more powerful than an Olympic-level human inside these cells.

[He winces.]

Who...are you? What are you?

[She's no ordinary child.]

[The girl says something in reply, but it's as impossible to understand as whatever sound she was making before.

The floor ripples a little.]

[With the way the floor is rippling, it feels like the girl might be affecting the very structure of the room.]

Hey, you think you can do anything about the fields around here? We'd probably be able to talk better if we're closer.

[The girl stops speaking for a moment, as if thinking about what Lancer said.

Then she's in his cell behind him.]

[He swerves around and barely holds himself back from punching her.]

...Nice teleporting, little lady.

[The girl smiles at him with a thousand shifting mouths. All of her features shift--while she's definitely a girl there's no way to pin anything other than that down.]

[He crosses his arm and continues watching her.]

So, kid. Got a name or anything?

[He speaks casually, though he's still quite tense.]

Why did you get dropped down here?

[The girl answers, but is again impossible to understand. Eventually she pauses and draws out her syllables so the voices all sound together as one, more or less.]

Liiiiive heeeeere. Youuuuu?

Jason was...a big jerk and dumped me down here, like he did with everyone else.

[It worried him a bit. This place didn't seem like the best place for a child to live in.]

Mmmm. [She tilts her head--just a bit farther than a human should be able to--considering.] Werrre youuu baaaad?

[He snorts.]
