Oh Maple.

Characters: Canada and YOU
Setting: The hallways or wherever
Format: I'm starting in action, but I'll follow you!.
Summary: Matt's woken up and is a little distraught so he's wandering the halls.
Warnings: none yet

The waking up process had frightened him, creating a deep unsettling worry in the pit of his stomach that made him want to be sick. But once it had passed and he'd been able to sit up and look around it had only heightened the sense of worry. Finding his glasses on the table near his bed it took him a moment to collect himself and inspect his surroundings.

THe letters had been his first real imperical proof of the sense of dread he had been feeling. And it only grew once he noticed the room he was in to the extent that he felt like crying. But the scratching and growling form the trunk at the end of his bed made him scramble and throw it open. HIs bed blinked owlishly at him and something seemed to make him feel a little better at seeing the items in his trunk.

After he'd changed and checked the other beds in the room, his bear expressed that he was, in fact, starving. Course the fat little bear was always starving, so Canada simply picked him up with a sigh and made his way out of the room and into the hallways.

Now came the real challenge, where was everything and where was he in relation to those things.

"Oh maple, this sucks."

"Not anxious," Ivan replied, a pout on his lips, shifting to the side. He didn't mind Matthew's asking of questions--liking that the smaller nation wasn't afraid of him, because really, he would not be nearly as fun to be around if he was. "Just sober."

And that was true too, unfortunate as it was for Ivan. Ivan hated his new-found sobriety, the fact that he didn't have his usual vodka with him. He missed it. And quite a bit, really.

"Ahhh.... The forest was unpleasant I think," he replied, and frowned a little. "Though it is better than some of the other floors, I think. How long have you been here, little Matvey?"

"Ah, so you are being very new here! Ah.... How is our world doing? I have not been there in... three months, I am thinking? It is hard to be keeping track sometimes..." he frowned, and shifted slightly, before looking back down at the Canadian, brows furrowed.

"There are only so many other things to be doing when one is being trapped in this silly tower," he replied, frowning. "And it is not so much not having other activities that is being bothersome. I am a very patient man, Mattvey. I just... It is my water, and I wish to have it back." He huffed a little, but pushed the smile back to his lips, moving to pat the Canadian's head. "But is okay. Soon tower will be burning, and we can be going home, da?"

Ivan looked thoughtful at the thought of that, brows furrowed. So time went a little slower then.... at the very least that meant when they got back to their world, it would be almost as if they never left it. Which, was good for their people and their lands. "That is very good to know. Spasibo," he replied, with a tiny smile.

"Ah.... I do not think it could kill us.... But... Da, I think it would be best to set it alight after we leave, da? Burning is not very fun..." He shook his head slowly, frowning slightly. "But there ought to be another way to be getting out, da?"

Ivan nodded slightly, and gave a tiny shrug, letting out an amused snort. "Not being violent in anything but hockey," he replied, amused at the thought of the normally shy nation playing the more violent sport. "Hopefully you will not be being here for long enough to be losing spirit."

Ivan nodded, and gave a tiny shrug. "There has to be a way out. If there is a way in, there is always being a way out. Sometimes it is just very hard to find."

Ivan smiled and nodded slowly. "If there is a way to be getting out I will be finding it, and getting us both home. We will not be able to be having rematch of last game if we are being stuck here in the tower, da?" He frowned a little, tapping his chin, because really they couldn't be stuck in the tower forever. Perhaps for a long while, but not forever. It would just take a little thinking and a little patience.... or perhaps a lot on either part.

Ivan smiled and nodded in reply moving to pet the other's hair, amused. "Da, da. Of course," he replied, looked thoughtful, tapping his chin with his fingers.

"Ah, not anywhere in particular.... I was just looking for places that I have not seen before.... This tower is changing very often... is having to have a weak spot sometime, da?"

Ivan wasn't the type to forget the Canadian. Oh, of course he could pretend to forget the smaller male, or he could over look him, but he was never simply forgotten He was simply there, and when he wasn't he wasn't, and that was fine and dandy by the Russian's standards. He tipped his head to the side at the flinch, however, brows raising, finding the reaction amusing, but he didn't push for more. Not right now anyway.

"Ah, I would be liking that," he replied, looking thoughtful. "I have not been eating yet."

Ivan didn't seem to notice the other's thoguht process, already over the flinching and back to his smiling self, or as smiling as he could get while he was this sober.

"Mmm. Nyet, I do not think there will be being hamburgers. Though I suppose it would not be too surprising if I was being wrong. This tower is never making anything good here," he replied and gave a tiny frown.

Then he paused. "There was being one time. I met girl Mattvey and she made pancakes. So you might be liking that."

"Da.... is being same for me..." he shifted a little, and let out a breath. "I am getting very tired of sweets. I am liking, but I am not liking quite so much." He followed the other down the hall, smiling a little at the other.

"Mm, da. She is very nice. She was making pancakes while back..." he looked thoughtful and then nodded. "Ahh... I am hoping so. If she is going home it is meaning we are all having chance to be going home too, da?"

[identity profile] vanavanushka.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Ivan nodded a little, laughing a little. "Da... Either would be nice," he replied, and watched the other, shrugging slightly.

"I would be liking too. Home would be nice. I am not being sure about desert, but I am sure it would be nicer than here... It is tiresome being trapped. And is only growing more so," he replied, glanced around as the walked, smiling slightly. "Mattvey, I do not think you are needing. You are in shape very well already. You are not being like your brother."

Ivan nodded a little in agreement, a small frown on his lips, walking with the other down the steps, looking thoughtful and smiling a little when the other mentioned hockey.

"Is sad. It is that season again. Hockey season, I am meaning," he replied, missing the ice, but then he missed a lot of things so it was just one of many. "But it is true. Though I think Amerika is just lazy. He is a large country. But a lazy one." He shook his head, and he did like picking on America, just like America liked picking on him.

"I noticed. He is a very strange nation. More like a child or a human than a country," he replied, cocking his head to the side, pausing for a moment before realizing Matthew meant American football rather than well his football. "I noticed that. He gets very ah... attached to that sport."

He heard the other's words and looked thoughtful a frown playing over his lips. "You know... upstairs there is a floor. That you can see the outside from... if you would like to go to that. It is not on the ground but. I go there sometimes. It is nice."
