Summary: Party in the media room. Look at all these stupid kids who have birthdays in December.
Warnings: Teenagers are dumb. Stupid shenanigans.

It wasn't really a proper party set-up. There were no decorations or anything that would signify it were a party. Dave didn't really have supplies or time to make anything and he wasn't really around to even plan anything in the first place.

Jason didn't really make it any easier by giving them only foodbars and water for this month either.

But he did try. He made those shitty paper ringlets to hang and he taped really crappy drawings of balloons to the walls. An attempt was made and he thinks his balloons are pretty fucking awesome anyways. It was a little sad. The list was a lot shorter than he anticipated. He ignored that nagging thought though. He didn't want to recall that a lot of his friends had left while he was gone.

Yeah, pretending that isn't a thing that happened.

Damn, he even made a cake. Ok. It wasn't really a cake. He mashed nutrition bars into a bowl with water and attempted to bake it. That...that didn't actually really come out like he hoped. Mostly, he put it in too long so the outside was completely burn yet the middle was still a really gross mush. No one was probably going to eat it. But it's the thought that counts...

It's a really gross fucking cake.

Obviously though, he should be in charge of birthdays all the time. "Fuck, I'm amazing at this." No, Dave. This is pretty shitty and you know it. You tried though. You tried.

The last Rose here didn't exactly make a good impression on him, considering she killed Dave. But he's not gonna let that get to him, and he's just gonna raise his eyebrow a little at her.]

I try. And wow, Lalonde, that's really rude of you. It's obvious Dave put a whole lot of effort into this... [Thing.] cake. You should show appreciation. You should be the first vict- er, first one to eat a piece.

I was not at all dissing the effort and time he put into the cake, nor how much I appreciate that he did such a thing. However, none of these things negate the very real possibility that it could try to crawl out of it's bowl and eat my brain through my ear. Best laid plans, and all that.

Decent job of keeping a straight face. Though it's not without a slight wince. The crispy, burnt bits really don't mask the gross texture of the middle of the cake very well. And the charring doesn't really add to the flavor any...]]

[He's just about to respond, but he finds his words cut off as he sees her moving towards the cake. That alone is enough to cause speechlessness, but it comes with skepticism. She can't be serious. Could it have really been that easy? And then she actually takes a bite of the cake and he can't help but be fucking surprised.

And impressed. Holy shit he's so impressed right now, he never expected her to actually do it. And with a straight face, too? Fucking impressed.
