[So someone had been dumb... Well, a few people actually. Considering the fact that Yu's dorm room was completely devoid of roommates, it meant that they were likely being punished by Jason for their rash course of action. Seriously, hadn't others tried something like this before and it ended up going badly? Sigh.

That was why there was a bowlcut waiting in the corner for someone to awaken, and he had a feeling that he wasn't alone in this, either. ...No, it totally didn't have anything to do with the fact he hated being alone and did not want to be around just as Richtofen awoke. Nope. No idea what you are insinuating at all.]

Asch is a little rough with the door when he comes in, and stops there for a moment. Yeah, he's a bit surprised to see anyone else here, but it doesn't delay him more than a second.

He just takes a seat on the edge of the bed, pulling his cloak closed against the cold, and looks Luke's unconscious body over before turning to the stranger.]

You're here for him too, I take it.

[And on his bed, still looking nonchalant as he read `To Kill A Mockingbird`]

My, it's getting quite crowded today, isn't it?

[Oh, hello there convincing double of friend. Though luckily, he was kind of there for Luke's Shadow and heard the whole spiel from it so he wasn't all that surprised. Or at least, as surprised as he would have been.]

Aah. Seems like it. [(Sorry about that, voice bro.) Seriously, why else would he be with everyone else being vaguely innocent this time around. He'll likely confirm it later, his suspicions. Until then, might as well be somewhat polite (don't ask why he doesn't even have his jacket buttoned, okay) and introduce him to the new guy.]

[He inclines his head slightly in Narukami's direction, looking him over. Younger than he expected, fairly calm, and considering that he's here, he's not afraid of scolding the idiot for doing idiot things.

After a moment, Asch stands up and extends a hand. Congrats, yu pass.]

Asch. I'm sure the idiot's already cried on your shoulder about me.

[Your turn, Lelouch bro. Polite greetings before the party starts.]

Lelouch. I'm merely this boy's roommate as of the moment.

[Not 'friend', not 'caretaker', but a 'roommate'.]

[Maybe it was because he knew they were talking about him, or maybe it was because his encounter with that ghostly girl on top of two days without anything to eat or drink had been genuinely horrifying...]

[Either way, Luke chose that moment to suddenly spring upright on his bed, screaming bloody murder.]

[He nods faintly, quietly wondering what Luke said about him. But then, he can't be surprised that Luke didn't say too much--

Why did he have a feeling that there was a name pun somewhere.]

Wouldn't say he cried, but Luke did mention--

Luke, calm the hell down.

[Ow. Asch presses his hands over his ears almost immediately. He's not entirely sure that Luke isn't unknowingly doing something with the Seventh Fonon out of pure instinct.

He really needs to get this idiot trained.]

[...with a poker face that might rival Yu's, Lelouch was still nonplussed as he just covered his ears when the screaming started.

While continuing to read the page he's on.

[He trailed off, looking between the three of them as he slowly calmed, his breathing going down from near hyperventilating to something resembling normal.]

[Asch slowly pries his hands away from his ears, keeping his eyes on Luke as though expecting him to start making noise again any second.]

[Was he watching? ...Possibly. His roommates were involved, after all.]

[Luke looked up a Yu, nodding, before looking back down at his hands.]

I was going to leave. Those drones may have a hand in us being here, but they still didn't deserve to die!

...b-but then Jason showed up... a-and I...

[He shuddered, hugging his arms to himself. He wanted to kill him. He never wanted to kill anyone before in his life, but Jason? Jason he wanted to see in his own bloody puddle after what he did to him and everyone else. He shook his head, trying not to be sick, before turning a furious look up to Asch.]

D-don't tell me you wouldn't do the same! Not after everything Jason did! I won't believe you!

[Oh hey guess who's vibrating with rage now.]

You told me to avoid this guy, and then you went off and attacked him?!

[It's clear on his face; Asch doesn't actually have words for how stupid he thinks Luke is at the moment. Good thing he can express himself non-verbally.

[Considering that this Asch person had done what he wanted to do to his roommate, and Yu can probably take care of it, he's going to quietly peek up from his book just to see whether this situation would escalate or not.

Knowing his luck though? This might just be the case.]

[Yeah, who all didn't see that one coming? Because he sure as hell did and likely would have done the same if his slap probably wasn't strong enough to break Luke's neck. After all, it was strong enough to kill someone stronger than him with just one strike...

He sighed.]

Calm down.

[Yu didn't break his normal, deadpan expression, even though his tone softened only slightly. After all, he and Ken had already tried attacking them directly.]

I thought you would have noticed after that one 'game' of Ruana's that we met during. Attacking them directly means nothing because they can and will stop us. They know our weaknesses.

[Congratulations. You got him to actually say more than a simple glare.

Though to be honest he probably would have just nuked the entire floor with Beelzebub's Megidolaon. ...What? He's a bit more strategic than simply rushing when he needs to be.]

[To say that Luke was a bit shocked that his original just bitch slapped him was an understatement. He held his reddening face, staring at Asch like he grew another head. His whole face started to turn red as his anger built up, and Yu speaking up almost wasn't enough to calm him down. He turned a glare up to him, looking like he was about ready to snap...]

[...but nope. He couldn't do that to Yu. Instead, he let out an irritable breath, looking back down at his hands.]

I know... but when I saw him, I was so angry, I... I just couldn't think of anything else...

[A hand unconsciously drifted up to his ears. Sometimes, when he was alone and everything was quiet, he could still hear that distorted version of the Fonic Hymn, playing over and over and over...]

[...and that's to say nothing of the nightmares. He wonders how often he's woken up his roommates with his screaming at this point...]

[Asch settles back into his seat with an almost invisible sigh. It's not as though he doesn't understand that kind of pain.

...He can't even look at Luke, thinking of it. Instead, he just grumbles under his breath - ]

At least that's something worth apologizing for.

[He sighs as well. Seriously, why did he think Ken and Yu tried to get him back then.
