Setting: The upstairs lounge (floor 38), Hojo's makeshift clinic
Format: Action or prose, will match.
Summary: Shion and Hojo have started a little clinic, as announced here. Much better than the administrators' clinic. There's only one maniac involved, after all. Specify when arriving in the clinic, as this is set up as a drop in post (though feel free to be vague) during the event for all patients and visitors.
Warnings: Hojo isn't exactly a good doctor.

Are you feeling under the weather? Or even worse than that? This month is a bad one for illness, it seems. Maybe it's the cold. Maybe it's something else.

In any case, there's no need to continue to rely on the Tower's clinic, run by drones. There's a new clinic in town. And it's run by--well, Professor Hojo. Sit back. Relax. He just wants to run a few tests... But Shion is also present, so don't worry too much. Aware of Hojo's true nature, he's something of an assistant, and something of a spy.

The clinic may be makeshift, but there's a waiting area and a more private examination area.

[ooc: If you'd prefer to only deal with Hojo or Shion for any reason, feel free to specify. In fact, feel free to specify anything, and characters can talk to each other, lock threads, threadhop (though respect others' prefs where that's concerned). This is meant as a free-for-all clinic visit post.]

In his head, chaos sighed. It wasn't exactly accurate..but he'd go along with it if it meant that his power wasn't questioned again.

"Something like that, I suppose.."

Shion nodded, he didn't have magic himself but he had seen plenty here. Enough so he no longer shut down when things didn't follow the rules of physics. Mostly. That one floor with wrong angles and such gave him a headache whenever he thought about it...

"It's a useful skill, since it's getting colder."

[In his head, chaos sighed. Parts of his power were useful, but the actual thing, the actual reason for it..that wasn't good at all. It had a use, but it wasn't one he liked.]

"I am just glad that I am able to warm people up for a little while longer."

"It will be useful, I have a feeling the extreme cold is going to provide us with quite a few patients." And having a way to warm them up could save them.

"Colds and low temperatures do seem to be good friends." chaos nodded. "Hopefully not too many people become sick..and hopefully the temperature rises soon."

"I hope so too, though I believe the temperature will only rise when Jason wishes it to."

In his head, chaos sighed. "You are right about that..however, when the month draws to a close, a new Administrator will control the Tower. They, hopefully, will decide to lower the temperature."

"Next month is a long way off, we must find a way to help everyone through this."

"Oh, I am not saying that we shouldn't. I am just saying that the cold will not last forever. It will pass."

"Yes, nothing lasts forever here." Not even death.

"..There probably are not many things that do last forever..but I am sure that there are a few constants that will always be in the Tower, for better or worse."

Shion nodded at that and opened another box to organise. "You're right with that."

chaos reached into the box and started to organize it's contents on the cabinet. "I figured I would be. What things have you found that are constants?"

"People arriving, at first when I came people would arrive all the time, or once a week, now it is the beginning of the month a lot of people arrive together that is a constant. People disappear too. Another constant."

chaos nodded. "I too, have noticed the pattern of how people arrive here. However..I admit, I hadn't heard of people disappearing. Thank you for telling me that."

"Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't." Shion told him, "If they aren't returning their things disappear and their name is taken off their bedroom door."

chaos nodded as he heard this. "I see. So, the Administrators know when we are taking small trips and when we are leaving permanently. I wonder where they put people for their vacations? In an alternate universe or their own worlds?"

"I guess so, or they decide who is leaving forever and who only temporarily..." He shrugged, "It seemed real to me, but it could have been an alternate universe or an illusion."

His voice was calm but there was a trembling beneath it, thinking about his dead world was not good.

chaos caught the trembling and put a hand on Shion's shoulder to calm him down.

"Even though it seemed real, I can assure you that your world is not destroyed. If my world were destroyed, I would have a way of knowing about it, so your universe is fine as well. Do not worry."

Shion wasn't too sure, all logic pointed that it was destroyed. Even if hope drew him towards other theories.

Even though he no longer relied on science as much as he did, he had seen plenty of things that defied the rules he had once thought as complete.

"I will try not to."

If chaos's universe were destroyed, then he wouldn't be able to exist, and nor would Wilhelm or his Testaments. Since all still existed, his universe was still fine, which meant that the Administrators were lying about their worlds.

Not that chaos was going to tell Shion that. Instead, he settled for smiling gently at the boy and nodding.

"I am glad to hear that. If you find yourself worrying about it, feel free to come talk to me. I am always happy to help and listen."

Shion smiled back, "Thank you that is very kind." And it was, even if Shion probably wouldn't take him up on the offer.

And, if Shion was perceptive, he might see a small melancholy look on chaos's face before he smiled and nodded.

"..Oh, don't mention it. We all need a little help sometimes. I am just glad I can help out."

In his head, chaos sighed, and he thought as he stocked the shelf. Was he actually kind? Some of the things he did were..but his role in the universe was anything but kind, and the fact that he and Mary had messed up a few plans in the past that led to people being killed did not help.

..Was he really kind?

Shion noticed but said nothing, just stocked the shelf alongside him, he thought he was kind, though they had just met. Then again he couldn't be sure and he tended to see the best in everyone.

chaos continued to stock the shelf and moved on from that thought. It wouldn't do well to worry the boy about something that wasn't his problem.

"If you don't mind my asking, why did you decide to set up a clinic with the scientist?"
