Characters: Feferi Peixes and Open!
Setting: The first floor, around room 1-05, and the infirmary
Format: Action
Summary: Troll flu isn't exactly like human flu. Feferi's mostly going to be good and stay in bed, but she's going to also take a trip to the infirmary. Why? Because.
Warnings: one miserable fish troll who really needs to be in bed. said fish troll is also event-infected.
the first floor and room 1-05
[The door to Feferi's room is open, and inside, there is a troll bundled up in her extra clothes and in bed, looking utterly miserable. She's trying to not look as miserable as she feels, but that's not working nearly as well as she thinks it is.
Occasionally, she can be spotted with the blanket wrapped around her, going to check her messages on the network, but she should really be back in bed. You might want to point her in the right direction...]
the infirmary
[After a while of tossing and turning, Feferi has made her way to the infirmary. The problem? She really doesn't have much of an idea what most of these things in here do. She's looking at the bottles of pills and liquids curiously, and the instruments with even more curiosity.]

room 1-05 Eridan, good boys don't go into girls' rooms without permission.
...Feferi?
[The novelty of the lack of sunglasses can be translated on the fact he currently has more facial expressions beyond smirk and sneer, so hey. At least he looks as concerned as he actually sounds, for once.]
the door is open and she has the flu, that's implied permission
Hey, Eridan...
[She waves, though that's just as weak as her smile.]
...point.
[He shuffles in a little, still sticking around the doorway.]
I mean. I was just. Passing through but. You know. If you need anything...?
[Awkward is spelled with capital Eridan.]

[She sighs, but the sigh is half-sigh and half-sneeze.]
Thank you. I just - you know, it sounds like I'm completely going off the deep end, probably, but I can't help wondering if they timed this mess somehow. Or maybe I'm just sick and a little cranky and being paranoid.
But I reely appreciate it.
no subject
I wouldn't put it past them, honestly, after all they've done.
[He shuffles a little more.]
Maybe I could bring you up a glass of water or something?
[He's not sure what else to do, but you know him. He's gotta do something.]

[Eridan frowns, further shuffling into the room and looking at Feferi cautiously.]
What do you mean like skipping around?
no subject
[Like then. It's winter, isn't it? It's winter and she's in bed and things -- they aren't fine. This isn't winter, it's the middle of summer and someone's screaming in a cell next to hers -- and then things are okay again.]
-- I didn't move, just then, but I could swear I was somewhere else.
no subject
[There's a pause.]
Nor anywhen.
[He'd have noticed.]
That's weird, do you want me to keep you company?
no subject
...yeah. That would be good. At least till I'm not hallucinating a time trip.
no subject
[He inches a little bit closer, coming to stand by the foot of her bed.]
Can I sit here?
no subject
[She scoots over, nodding.]
Yeah.
no subject
[He sits at the foot of the bed, folding one leg and sort of resting his hands on his lap.]
It's a bit scary, but then you get used to it, I mean, enough to sort of know what's happening?
[Except that when he has flashbacks he tries to murder people, but details.]
So I guess the only thing I can tell you is not to let it make you doubt yourself.
First floor
Feferi, what are you doing there?
no subject
I was going to go check my messages, but that should probably wait, shouldn't it...?
no subject
[ She brings up one of the water bottles. ] I found these in the kitchen. I hope it helps a little.
no subject
[She takes one of the bottles, cracking it open and taking a sip.] Thank you. I hope it does, too.
no subject
[ She hesitates before approaching. ] Let's go back to our room.
floor one, why the fuck not
nope that's your imagination at work. Karkat is going down to see her with an extra blanket and garbage because even though he isn't the leader here, he at least this is a better alternative than trying to bathe Gamzee again. that is his story and he is sticking to it.
that's why he's giving her a glare as he sees her moving about. ]
Just what the fuck do you think you're doing?
no subject
(She had been about to go check the network again, leaving an even larger pile of tissues in the nearest trash bin by the terminal. She might be sick, but she's not going to leave her snotty tissues laying around. That's just rude, okay.)
But at the moment, she just blinks.]
...I think I was going to go get some water or something...
no subject
This is why this place needs handheld communication devices.
[ it'd be so much easier. Karkat then proceeds to shoo you, Feferi. ]
You said you were sick, right? Go back to your respite square or recuperacoon or whatever the fuck is in that block of yours. Someone else can get your water.
[ him, but he isn't going to say that. ]
no subject
[The cursing triggers a coughing fit, but Feferi is trying very hard not to cough on you, Karkat.]
Right...should reely do that.
[And not stand there blinking for a second, like she's trying very hard to figure out what time of year it is.]
no subject
like still trying to shoo Feferi. only closer this time and maybe with a touch to the shoulder. ]
Yes, yes you should. Staring into space here isn't going to help either.
no subject
[She turns in the direction of where her room is and starts walking, though she still seems a bit confused sometimes.]
no subject
[ he's going to have to lead her back, huh? 8| Feferi. stop being troublesome. ]
Infirmary
He debates, for a moment, about getting annoyed with her. About how she had ignored his advice. And then chides himself for it. He's being an asshole and even if that is his default setting he could at least put it aside for a moment.
Instead, he'll go over to try and help her.]
Do you even know what you're trying to look for?
no subject
[And she holds out a bottle of what she thinks might be cough syrup, but is actually closer to Pepto-Bismol, trying to read the label.]
no subject
That ain't what you're looking for. Here.
[And he goes for what looks close to a bottle of Nyquil.]
Here. Try this.
no subject
Thanks.
[It takes her an unusually long time to say that, though: what seems like a few seconds to her is along the lines of a few minutes.]
no subject
.....
You need help getting back to your room?
no subject
Y-yeah. I don't know what happened there. At least my room's on the first floor, though.
no subject
Alright.
...Did it hurt or anything?
no subject
no subject
Did you feel anything at all. Like was there a physiological reaction to it.
room
Wow. I'm really off today.
no subject
You seemed okay earlier...this stuff sucks. It reely sucks.
[Don't mind her if she seems dazed and isn't sure if 'earlier' means 'yesterday' or 'earlier today when I talked to you' or 'three months ago'.]
no subject
It's hit you pretty hard, hasn't it? You're not seemin' like your bubbly self today...
[he's just staring at his scarf at the moment. She looks like she could use some of it but god dammit he doesn't want to give it up just yet.]
