Summary: Best way to nurse anything is by sitting down in front of a movie, huddled in a blanket, right? Well of course that's right.
Warnings: Swearing should be standard by now, right?


[ curled up on a couch is one Karkat Vantas, blanket around him like a cocoon and stiffing every few minutes. he had started to feel a little tired and drippy around the nose area a bit ago. honestly, even though he had told Feferi the other day to stay in her room, he doesn't feel safe in his own. something about sharing that small of space with those humanoids just rubs him the wrong way. it's not like he's going to ask Gamzee if he can tuck into that recuperacoon of his either...

so there's really only one other option and he's taking it. taking the entire couch, that is. some romcom is playing on the screen. Karkat even has his collar pulled over his mouth, just to keep the air from being contaminated. one side of him sets a water filled bottle. the other has a box of tissues and a bag to toss them into.

honest to god he's just playing a movie to fall asleep to. he definitely needs it. ]

[It certainly would have been a good nap for the young troll, if of course 'papa' signless didn't decide to visit. It had been nothing more then an afternoon stroll for him and he figured to visit such a room and investigate the glow radiating from the occupying use. He was surprised...or rather not, to find Karkat resting there.

A frown comes to his lips as he notices the sickness had reached his descendent. Softly he creeps into the room and gives a short clearing of his throat to let his presence be known.]

I see it has succumbed to you as well.

[ he doesn't even have the energy to be a little snot. Karkat wiggles around in his blankets to get a better look at the person. with narrowed eyes - focusing in on Signless or a sign of irritation is up for interpretation at this point - he wiggles back around with a sniff. ]

It's not that bad.

[Sensing the negativity, which wasn't a change for the other, he was wary to approach. However, he wasn't yelling at him or telling him to go away and so it was good as any invitation coming from Karkat. Signless moves forward coming to sit on the floor near Karkat. The couch was his territory and he didn't wish to overstep his boundaries.]

[ good thing too. Karkat is not ready to accept such closeness quite yet. not when he is potentially sick, anyway. that's just a little too much vulnerability to expose himself to at the moment.

Karkat isn't going to shoo the other guy away. he has a feeling it wouldn't quite work anyway. his ancestor has this *thing* about wanting to reach out and make some sort of bond.

The movie is just some trashy romcom I found. I was trying to fall asleep to it, but it's so terrible that it's just not a possibility.

I wouldn't agree. Simply put the noise of the outdoors or the starry night sky is something worthy to fall asleep under. However not that this is related to the current situation at hand. Might I ask why you are watching something you do not enjoy?
