Setting: All over the Tower.
Format: Action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Eleanor doesn't really know how to handle this flu thing, it's been a long time since she's been sick! Well, conventionally sick that is.
Warnings: Cranky, cranky teenagers who can set things on fire with their minds. Also random teleporting and potential telekinetic shenanigans.

[Eleanor woke up this morning with her head feeling like it was stuffed with wool. That was a novelty of a sort, and not a very pleasant one. She shrugged it off though, not entirely familiar with the whole flu process, though somewhere in the back of her head, several dozen voices whined in unison about how awful it was.

Eleanor got dressed in her suit and as usual set out to wander around the Tower, steps slow and gaunt looming.

Except, even if you're used to seeing her go around by now, you might be surprised to see her stumbling a little, leaning heavily sideways and nearly falling off the stairs more than once. For all intents and purposes, it seems like nearly seven feet worth of drunken diving suit, though of course that's not the case.

Hell, her portholes are glowing blue. Blue. She didn't even know that was a thing that could happen.]

Because human beings are selfish, and quick to sacrifice others for their own benefit.

Some people may be like that..but I don't think every human being is like that.

[thebigsister]

Oh, it's part of human nature to be selfish, really. It's just that some are better at controlling that than others. Being kind and generous are virtues because they're hard, not because they're natural inclinations in everyone.

[tohko_amano]

I thought they were virtues because everyone strives to be those things. Even if we fail, we still keep trying.

[thebigsister]

Well, yes. But we have to try, right? They're valuable because they're hard to do. If everyone were naturally kind or generous without any effort, they wouldn't be virtues so much as the norm.

[Needless to say, they're not exactly the norm.]

[tohko_amano]

Well, some have to try. For other people, it's not hard. They don't have to try to be nice and kind. And while it may be easier to be selfish and ignore others, nothing worth working for is easy to do. Countless stories have shown that.

[thebigsister]

I think the vast majority of people have to try. But you're right, and that's why it's important to give our best and be nice to others.

[tohko_amano]

Exactly. And since so many people are trying, the world can't be full of people who have just given up on trying. There may be some..but the world isn't filled with them.

[thebigsister]

I'm not so sure about the math behind that, but it'd be nice if it were true.

[tohko_amano]

[At that, Tohko sighed a little.]

Well, I think it's true.

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor tilts her head to the side, nearly toppling off.]

Thinking something's true doesn't make it so, you realize.

[tohko_amano]

I know that..but I haven't been proven wrong in that thought yet, so I'm going to keep thinking it!

[Tohko then tried to put an harm on Elanor's shoulder to steady her.]

Hey, you really should go lie down. You're going to fall down the stairs at this rate!

[thebigsister]

Nah, not really. I told you, it's alright!

[Though Tohko can't see it, Eleanor's smiling wryly.]

[tohko_amano]

Are you sure?

[Tohko isn't really convinced..]

[thebigsister]

I'm sure.

[She sounds a little less sure than before.]

[tohko_amano]

Really..if you're sick, I could grab some books for some or something to occupy your mind while you rested. And I could do your patrols.

[thebigsister]

We've been through that, it'd be inconvenient and not very effective.

[Eleanor shrugs again.]

[tohko_amano]

It wouldn't be inconvenient for me..and if you keep going like this, you're going to fall down the stairs.

[thebigsister]

I'm not going to--

[You mean fall down the stairs like this?]

[tohko_amano]

[Yes, like that. Tohko quickly grabbed her before she fell too far down and started helping her out.]

You just did! Please, let me take you back to your dorm room.

[thebigsister]

...that was a fluke.

[Eleanor is being petulant and cranky.]

[tohko_amano]

I don't think it was. And, even if I am wrong, another 'fluke' might strike you again, and getting injured when you're already sick won't do you any good.

[thebigsister]

But--

[Going to bed. Being lazy. DNW! Serious DNW!]

[tohko_amano]

No buts! You're resting, and that's final! You do need it, you know.

[And with that, Tohko will try to pull one of Elanor's arm's over her shoulder and keep it there so that she can support some of her body weight. If that works, she'll then start moving down the stairs carefully, so that they both don't fall.]

[thebigsister]

[You can almost hear her roll her eyes.]

Oh fine.

[Rather than let Tohko carry her weight though, Eleanor wraps an arm around the girl's waist, careful not to stab her with the needle, and then grips her tightly, before trying to teleport them both back to the dormitory levels.]
