Summary: Even when you are sick, you must still practice

[Dormitories]

[Meiling felt horrible but it wasn't enough to keep her down. She walks around, her face is flushed and she has to stop every once is a while to cough but then keeps moving. She give a bit of a wave and unless one would stop her, she keeps moving. She is so not dressed for the cold either so maybe that is how she is sick right now..?]

[Floor 25]

[If one was to look into Floor 25, They would find the gatekeeper there. Eyes closed and body moving smoothly through her taolu forms. Rainbow energy swirls around her at random and settles on her lower arms and fists. This goes on for a moment before a fit of coughing breaks both the form and the energy disperses. She frowns once the coughing subsides and then continues..only for it to be broken again by more coughing.]

[This was also Axel's 'I must train every day' rooms. Mostly because it was pretty convenient for the task and large amount of destruction wasn't an issue. Ki practice always caused damage somewhere.

But walking in, there was that interruption of coughing. Axel frowned slightly, just making sure someone wasn't kicking the bucket.]

Yo, Meiling. Are you dying over there?

[Once the coughing stopped she looked up and offered up a smile]

Oh hello Axel. I'm not dying...Just slightly under the weather.

[She stands straight up and shakes her head a bit]

If it was bad enough for death, I would probably not be standing right now.

Cold Medicine? I don't know if something for humans would work on me...

It's mostly for the soothing your throat part. Unless your throat is made out of rocks or something, I'm pretty sure it could handle that, regardless of species.

Hmm..I'll have to see if I can find some and try that. Can't do anymore damage then this cough does.

[She laughs and it goes into that cough again.]

Cold isn't a problem. When you live near a lake where a ice fairy lives, you get used to it.

[Yes it is, when you are not normally sick. That first part was as flimsy as a piece of wet paper. She does try to make it seem like she is okay, standing straight as if nothing is wrong.]

[Taking a breath to try and hold of anymore coughing, she starts up into her forms once more.]

[Of course, he's feeling like a little mix up. So as Meiling goes through her motions, Axel does his best to follow along identically. Nothing like attempting to teach one's self new stuff.]

*Enoch was disappointed that it only looked like spring up here. But at least it was sunny and not covered in snow. Wrapped in his by now rather dirty cloak, he watches the energy gather around the lady practicing something here, fascinated by its movement and color.

When another coughing fit breaks the practice, Enoch decides to step in.*

Ah...excuse me, but I've never seen anything like that before...

[It takes her a moment but once the coughing is done she looks to see who was speaking. She overs up a little bit of a wave]

Huh? Oh hello. I was just practicing my Tai Chi Chuan while I had a chance to.

[She was only guessing on what he meant, seeing at the Ki flowing about her was second nature anymore, she didn't even think it might be that.]

"Tai Chi Chuan" *he repeats slowly, testing the strange words on his tongue. An exotic-sounding name for an exotic-looking energy form.* What sort of energy is it?

Oh! The energy is my Ki. The style I was practicing with is Tai Chi Chuan. Helps to center oneself.

[She holds up a hand and concentrates, forming the Ki around it in example.]

"Center oneself"?

*Like one would center something on a structure, right? To balance it?*

So it's a form of meditation?

Yes, That is one use of the taolu forms. With the fact I've been coughing and just feeling out of it, They would be safer to do then my usual practice routine.

But I see even that isn't working right now.

If it interferes with even simple training... You should rest instead.

[It seemed like everyone was getting sick lately but Wriggle had felt a lot better surprisingly. Even if it was still cold outside she was sticking to the floors where she could keep warm or else she always had a blanket with her. So when Meiling started to look like she was getting ill too of course she would be concerned]

You look pretty sick...

[Meiling stopped and at least offered up a smile, trying to make herself look okay. She felt like going back into her room and curling up with all the blankets but she had to keep moving.]

I do? I'm not feeling all that bad...I'm able to keep moving.

[Yeah...That isn't going to pass as she starts to cough again.]

When I was sick I was told to go back to bed. Maybe you should too...

[It isn't all that cold in the dormitories but Wriggle had been planning on spending some time on the lower floors so she still had a sheet draped around her shoulders. With Meiling's coughing fit she pulled it off and tried to wrap it around the others shoulders instead]

[Once she finishes coughing, her eyes are still closed. Whatever she got was not helping her. She's quiet and still for a moment so Wriggle was able to wrap the sheet around her]

Yeah...I'll be fine Wriggle, I promise. Been through worse but...If it makes you feel better, Once I finish practice I'll head back to bed.

[If she was that worried, she'd listen.]

[Normally she wouldn't care so much for someone she'd only met recently but Meiling could potentially be her only link to Gensokyo. Of course there was Remilia but she seemed rather distant somehow]

[She opens her eyes and gives a thumbs up, trying to be reassuring and trying not to cough anymore.]

I'm sure. I think moving around is helping a little bit.

Besides, a little bit of sickness won't keep me down, Never has before.

[She sounds confidant in that statement. She is trying to reassure Wriggle as best she can, as she does not want to worry her]

[Wriggle just frowns some more. She doesn't really buy it but she's not sure what she should do. Even though she was told to go to bed when she was sick she didn't listen much either and she turned out fine]

Okay... You promise to be careful though, right? Promise me!

[Itachi doesn't even glance at the girl as she walks by, but he speaks firmly in a way that leaves no doubt that he's addressing her.]

You shouldn't be moving around so much.

[Yes, this intimidating stranger in a big cloak that obscures half his face is trying to tell you how to live your life. He can't help it, okay? He's concerned. He tries to act like it's a selfish concern, though.]

Walking around like that, you'll get everyone else sick, too.

[She stops and turns towards him, a slightly confused look on her face.]

I'm not sick enough to stay in bed. Besides, Moving around helps a bit and there are people I need to see.

[She's stubborn but she does see his point]

Maybe I should put something over my mouth...It could keep people from getting sick.

[Itachi ignores her solution to the problem. He turns and glances over his shoulder at her.]

The best thing to do when you're sick is to rest. [Then he mutters, as if it's an afterthought:] Especially in a place like this...
