Stairs and exploring and capes, oh my!
Characters: Vanellope & Tohko, and Vanellope & you on other floors!
Setting: Floor 15, Floor 08 and Floor 21
Format: Any! I'll follow what you do~
Summary: Following Tohko's success at making Vanellope eat her oatmeal, she offers to make her a cape and the two of them go exploring. After that, Vanellope takes off on her own and is, well, herself.
Warnings: Wreck-It Ralph spoilers by virtue of Vanellope being herself, general childishness that may grate on one's nerves
Floor 15 - Vanellope and Tohko.
[Vanellope had been chattering Tohko's ear off the whole way there - every floor they passed through prompted more and more questions - What's that? and Can I go over there? and How long has this been here? and so on. When they're just one floor away, she grins impishly and darts on ahead of her.]
Race you to the workshop!
Floor 08.
[Vanellope's explorations have landed her smack-dab into a maze, and not realizing that the safest way through is to keep one hand on the wall, she's already taken a few turns. She's starting to feel a little turned-around and mixed-up, but she figures with enough time she should be able to figure this one out.]
Okay, so I just took a left, which means now I want to take a right...
Floor 21.
[She has quite literally had enough of stairs. The spiral staircase makes her dizzy and her feet are starting to hurt - she's used to driving, not walking. She'd made it down to the first floor from the maze and had immediately taken the elevator up - whatever, she'll just explore one of those floors. When she steps out of it on the twenty-first floor, her eyes light up.
The mouthwatering smells of food that is not oatmeal or nutrition bars wafts towards her, and a small little smile works its way onto her face. Now this is more like it.
She wanders into the restaurant.
Moments later, she makes her way back to the elevator and plops down, pouting.]
What is this, some kind of fetch quest?!
[Why yes, that's exactly what it is, Vanellope.]

floor 8
[He's still coughing and sniffling, though his voice sounds even more hoarse than it did the other day. While his Dusknoir is nowhere to be found, Chandel the Litwick can be seen tugging at his shoulder, cooing worriedly.]
Oouuu...uuooo...
[Seems she's trying to get him to go in a different direction. Mostly because they've passed this spot at least three times within the past ten minutes or so.]
No, Chandel, the music's def... [Cough.] definitely coming from this way! And I bet anythin' that's where the exit is.
[John, you're lost, sick, and delusional, why won't you just stay in bed?]
no subject
[The ghostly cooing reaches her ears and Vanellope stops dead in her tracks. Others in the tower had warned her about monsters... was this it? ...nah, couldn't be.
A moment later she hears a cough, and a voice. This piques her interest and she follows the sounds all the way to John as he speaks.]
Hey, you're the egg guy!
...What music are you talking about? I don't hear any music.
no subject
What? You too? [This is the second person to tell him now that there's no music. What is even going on here...] But the music is even louder today than it was yesterday! I can't be the only one hearing this. Listen!
[He starts humming quietly along with the music that apparently nobody else can hear, stopping only for a single coughing fit.]
no subject
[She shoots Chandel a look along the lines of, "Uh, what's going on here?" before looking back to John.]
no subject
I guess that's about all I can do. Because if you can't hear it and Karkat couldn't hear it... [He trails off, looking worried. Hearing things that other people can't is rarely a good thing. It's not something he's completely unfamiliar with, but this music is different than the voice he heard during SBURB. It's more ominous, and that's not just because it's sometimes skipping or playing in reverse.]

[Vanellope, having no comprehension of the concept of personal space, hops right on over and tries to scramble up to John's shoulders to get a look at his ears. Uh...]
no subject
Ack!
[Not that he's not taken off-guard by it initially. Hold on, give him a second to recover.]
Wouldn't I be able to tell if I had headphones in though? I mean you can kind of feel that. Plus they have to be hooked up to something.
no subject
[Except no, there's nothing. She jumps back down and stares at him.]
If there's no headphones how come you're hearing things other people can't? Do you have super-hearing or somethin'?
