WHAT: Kanaya wakes up, she is not at all fond of her circumstances. And so the Tower receives a glowing alien girl conspicuously and shiveringly sneaking through the hallway.
HOW: Action

[ thirty seconds of sleep paralysis is a hell of an introduction to a new setting. by the time it's worn off, kanaya has found plenty of time to begin panicking. it doesn't look like any memory she's ever had, so the most reasonable explanation is that it must be someone else's. it's a dream bubble, right? it has to be. that doesn't explain the collar. something is wrong here. who put her in this ugly jumpsuit? who would even make such an ugly outfit?

once she's on her feet, she spares a moment to wonder if she should make the bed before deciding that there are bigger problems at hand, and ends up missing her introduction letters in the process. she elects to sneak out into the hallway instead, only to find it's cold. unreasonably cold, especially in this miserable outfit. her best hope is to keep moving, see if the bubble doesn't change if she does, stopping at each corner to peek around it. you never know what you might encounter in these things. ]

Dave! [ thank whatever god you like, she's in an unfamiliar place full of unfamiliar people and she's glad to see someone she knows. she sprints up next to him, shivering. ]

I only had this dreadful thing I awoke in. What trunk are you talking about?

There was a trunk at the foot of the bed you woke up in. Some of your belongings should be in there. Has no one told you anything about this place?

[ it's gaudy and awful and cold and it's too close to the color of her skin, which makes it all the more awkward, and she just wants to wear something normal. ]

Mostly I've only heard that it isn't a dream bubble, thus far. But then there are many people who may not know the nature of dream bubbles well enough to determine that, and have yet to themselves be informed.

Well, it isn't a dream bubble. You should have gotten some shitty letters that this place issues. I mean, I can tell you more, but you look like you need some actual clothes right now. What room are you, exactly. You probably have normal clothes in your trunk.

[ she made the overwhelmingly wise choice of just walking out of the room and wandering around in an unfamiliar environment. if there is a surer recipe for getting lost then i don't wanna know about it. she turns around to look the way she came. ]

Well. At least we'll have a nice stroll through this shitty place. Could be worst. I could have found you on the asinine floor with the maze. [Sigh. Kanaya, plz.]

Ten months. [He sounds so bitter when he says that. He really hates thinking about how long he's been here.] If you mean the temperature, than no. That's a recent thing, probably to replicate the fact it's Winter. But generally speaking, most of the stuff that happens here is what usually happens I guess.
