intro | open!

Characters: Sakuya and OPEN
Setting: Around the tower; see options.
Format: [like this]
Summary: just this girl's intro. She decides to get a feel of the place first and try to find people she might know.
Warnings: none yet

[ Option A: Sakuya wakes up in her assigned room, 3-05, shaken. Her first instinct is to get up and simply find who's done this to her. Feeling captured and incapacitated is nothing she'll ever be fond of. It makes her sick. So as soon as the sleep paralysis is over, you can be sure she will be getting right to her feet. If you're in the room with her or just happen to be passing outside, she'll be pointing a knife right at you threateningly and demanding answers. ] Who are you and where am I--? [ A hand will reach to her neck where she feels the violet collar. ] What... what is this? Answer me!

[ Option B: Floor 22, the Gallery. The click, click, click of her boots echo along the hall. If you actually run into her, you may notice that she's... wearing a maid outfit. As if she came straight from a maid cafe. In fact, she blends in quite nicely with this gallery, like something right out of a Victorian novel. She's still on edge, but she can spare you a polite, if somewhat uncertain, nod as she passes you.

If you happen to catch her staring at a painting from her world, she'll strike up a conversation: ]
At least they had the culture to save these paintings as well, mm...

[ Option C: Dormitories, later. Sakuya's got a job as a maid! At least that's something that does happen to be familiar. There's just something so calming in cleaning (at least she thinks so). Perhaps it's the repetitiveness of the motion of washing, drying, ironing, and folding fabric. She'll be going to rooms to provide your beds with clean sheets. Even making them for you with perfect hospital corners! But before she enters, of course she'll knock and ask: ] May I enter...?

[ Option D: Floor One, Cafeteria. Just... looking at her oatmeal. Oh come on. This is horrible food! ]

[ Option E: Floor Twenty. So here's one opening to the outside, but for some reasons her flight powers don't work here. With arms folded across her body, she'll simply be gazing at the outside, trying to see if she can spot anything through the clouds. ]

[He wouldn't blame her for being hesitant to trust him. While many captives are regular folk just trying to live there are a few that aren't as innocent. France is mostly innocent if you don't count the few times the tower's had a go. He smiles pleasantly at her, nodding in return]

Enchante. At least we are meeting on pleasant enough terms, no? It's been awhile since I've gotten a chance to discuss art, so thanks for that. I'm France.

[He doesn't sound as pleased as before with his next statement]

I have been here for awhile, unfortunately.

[He grinned at that - it's been awhile thanks.]

Well, I am older than I look. I've had more time to feel, non? Still, no need to sell your knowledge short. [He sniffed] Just look how well Andy Warhol managed. [No that's not an insult. It is.]

A year and a half according to my journal. I may have missed a few days due to things, of course.

Don't make me blush now-- it's not a handsome look on me.

[Sucking in a breath he gave her a neutral enough glance, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he decided between being completely honest and sugar-coating it to a sweeter shade of awful. He didn't want pity though and the word home was hard enough to think about.]

They are not exactly kind, no. I remember actually looking for a way out when I was newer to the Tower but no, I saw none. There are good people here though, if that matters.

I would suggest that you keep the memory of your home dear to you though, ouais? Oh, and - [He paused to crane his head toward an exhibit he'd had the misfortune of seeing; nodding in its direction] - I would not suggest partaking in the paintings over there. The Tower has awful surprises in the strangest places I've found.

[He should know better to say 'don't look'. She might just look despite his warnings but it'd be a lesson learned the hard way. That was the only way to learn in this place, unless you could develop trust and have faith to bide another's words.]

I wish there were, but it's not obvious and nothing can be seen outside but fog and the occasional creature. After all, they wish you to believe your world is devastated. They sent me home for a month, to devastation, before plucking me back as if a reminder of how benevolent they are.

[He sounds bitter. He is.]

I have to remind myself when I wake up that my home could not be in ruin because I would feel it, of course. That's not an easy lesson! [He changed his approach to something not so harsh. Always a smooth-talker, he smiled briefly.] That's why you need to be there to support them. An understanding friend is priceless here, hm?
