Class 2-9ers never say die, right?

Character: Seiko Shinohara and YOUUUU
Setting: Dormitory levels, Cafeteria and Floor Thirty-Two
Format: Prose, but I'm flexible!
Summary: Seiko is a huge beam of sunlight, she's gonna shine all over the cold, sick Tower.  The food kind of sucks though.
Warnings: Seiko.

Seiko is... very very healthy, actually. She's pretty a-okay, apart from a bit of a stuffy nose, but seeing so many people getting sick makes Seiko feel very worried. And a lot more cautious, no matter how much she tries to appear otherwise. She tries to stay upbeat though, and thankfully that isn't hard for Seiko!

[ Dormitory Floors ]

Hey, Tower! Look what Seiko's made in the workshop! Some warm clothes! They. Don't look so great, considering that she isn't the best seamstress. If you look closely, you can actually see some places where the stitches. Not the winter's biggest fashion staemnt, but they're passable for makeshift clothes and it seems to be doing Seiko just fine!

Seiko has also taken the liberty of making a few more pairs, so if she sees anyone in need of some warmer clothes she will have no qualms coming up and pushing them into their hands.

No refusing either. Seiko is your mom and she will Randy Parker your ass if she has to.

She also appears to be setting up Christmas decorations around the door to her room, a task she has at least done with some flair. The door is practically covered in green and red ribbons and little snowflakes made from construction paper. No tinsle (or a mistletoe...~) but a girl's gotta work with what she has.

[ Cafeteria]

If anyone decides to sneak into the kitchen, they will see Seiko desperately going from cupboard to cupboard. Seiko cannot believe how many bars they have stocked up in here. She opens one more cupboard and it's a sudden tidal wave of rectangles wrapped in plastic.

"Haaauh! There's nothing but candy bars in here!" She whines, shoulders drooping. "This is so lame! Now how am I supposed to make Yakisoba?"

Seiko frowns. Before looking down at the nutrition bars, unwrapping one and biting into it. She has to stay nutritious, after all.

[ Floor Thirty-Two ]

Wow! She never knew you could go outside! And no run-ins with monsters either!

Seiko's quite proud that she managed to get all the way up here! The little island is beautiful what with the snow. None of the animals appear to be out at the moment, but Seiko can at least twirl around on her heel in the snow so it's a fine compromise.

Seiko starts looking for berries to bring back with her. If she sees anyone come up to the floor with her, she will wave to them from her sneaky spot around the bushes.

Or she will chuck a snowball at them when they have their backs turned.

( OOC:I wanted to have her get the altered flu but I suck and got myself sick instead, sob, so even though she's being ultra cautious feel free to get her sick.  No mercy.)

[ Tsubaki peers at her from behind her curtain of bangs. ]

They might have the ingredients in the restaurant upstairs, if you're willing to deal with a quest.

[ Seiko peers back, her nutrition bar stuffed between her lips. ]

Mmhlly? [ She looks down at the bar in her mouth, eyes crossing, before taking it out. She smiles. ] I always make my food, so I've never looked at the resturant! Weird. What's the deal about that?

Apparently they have food of higher standards than the things this cafeteria offers. The catch is that they often send you on errands to pay for it.

[nohardfeelings]

Errands?

[ Her smile wavers. Seiko's no lazy girl but jeez, running errands for food? ]

Is the food any good at least?

[ She wanted to ask "do they serve Yakisoba?" but no luck pushing here. ]

[redlikeflowers]

They asked me to fetch a large reference book from one of the library floors.

[ She shrugs. ]

It is certainly better than nutrition bars.

[nohardfeelings]

That's silly! What could a chef want with that?

[ Seiko gets up to her feet, brushing dust off of her school skirt, down to the ragged pants that she wears underneath. ]

Hmm, but that doesn't sound too hard. Thanks for the tip! Eheh, I'm Seiko!

[redlikeflowers]

Who knows.

[ She squints. ]

Tsubaki.

[nohardfeelings]

Tsuba - kee~?

[ She giggles. ]

It's nice to meet you!

[redlikeflowers]

Likewise, I suppose. [ She shifts in her robes a bit awkwardly. ]

[nohardfeelings]

Now now, no need to be shy with me!

[ She puts her hands on her hips. ]

How long have you been here though? I've never seen yah!

Floor 32

[silentsacrifice]

[That snowball headed straight for his back? It erupts into a blast of snow as Itachi slashes through it with a kunai. He didn't even have to turn around to know it was coming at him.

As the snow drifts to the ground around him, he turns around more fully and glares at the area where the snowball came from. His eyes are bloodshot and his face is flushed, and he must be cold walking around in the snow when he's wearing sandals, but Itachi still manages to look fierce as ever. And, however odd he might find it, it certainly helps that his vision has begun to improve.

He says nothing; just glares at whoever it is that thought it would be a good idea to toss a snowball at him.]

[ Seiko's face drains of color almost immediately. She stands there, sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the white. She did not know who this stranger was when she threw the snowball at him. She certainly didn't expect him to spin around like that and glare at her.

Seiko. Intimdation? Too weak to describe what she feels when she stares into his sick, scary scowl. The glare alone is enough to make her blood go cold, but seeing the clear signs of the flu present on his face makes it clear that he isn't well. She would have felt awful for throwing a snowball at someone with the flu, if she wasn't scared by his fierce gaze.

Like the stranger, Seiko says nothing, and the silence lingers for a moment. ]

[nohardfeelings]

... Neh, guess you've won your fair share of showball fights huh?

[ And then she smiles as if nothing was wrong. ]

[silentsacrifice]

[Of course, nothing gets past Itachi; he catches the look the girl gives him before she smiles. He's used to being looked at as if he's the most frightening monster in the world, though, so he doesn't let it bother him much.

He relaxes his stance and twirls the kunai around his finger once, then puts it back into the pouch strapped to his thigh.]

Not snowball fights.

[And that's all he's going to say on the matter.]

[nohardfeelings]

Eheh. I see, big difference.

[ Seiko watches Itachi put his kunai away, still tense but nowhere near her immediate reaction. His attitude is quite, well, it certainly wasn't warm and cuddly and it certainly was discouraging. But that sort of thing has never stopped her before.

She frowns, crossing her arms. ]

What are you doing out here though? It's awfully cold, and you don't look all that good!

[silentsacrifice]

I'm hunting.

[He chooses to ignore her comment about how he looks. He knows he's sick, but he won't allow that to slow him down. As far as he's concerned, he'll never get better living off of just nutrition bars.]

Dormitory floors

[Rolo is just passing by, bundled up animal pelts he'd gathered and cleaned himself. He watches her for a moment.]

You're actually decorating for Christmas...?

[nohardfeelings]

[ Seiko blinks. She smiles at the stranger, though she seems confused. ]

Of course! Christmas is only a few weeks away!

I don't think this place celebrates it.

ha ha I'm really late, sorry ; w;

Well I do! [ She presses her hands to her hips as if to say "and that's that!" ] And there's nothing wrong with making due, hmm?

But it'll just all be for nothing.

Cafeteria

[ You're not the only one being frustrated with all these bars... but as an idol, Sayaka was trained not to complain about things like that, hence she won't show her frustration as she approaches the stranger, addressing her with sympathy. ]

I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the end of the month to see normal food again.

Cafeteria

[ Seiko is simply not the type to complain often. Complaining won't accomplish anything, after all! So Seiko doesn't look too broken up when Sayaka breaks the bad news. She does, however, look down at the ocean of nutrition bars and pout. ]

That sucks! I was looking forward to making Yakisoba ... [ She shrugs. ] Is there like a shortage or something?

[idolizer]

Some people say it's an experiment from one of the administrators here. [ That's all she knows, really. She hasn't been here long enough to fully know what's going on. ] I was told they alternate between months, and there's something different each time.

ha ha I'm really late ; w;

[nohardfeelings]

[ Seiko pouts even further. ]

We don't even know who this guy is? [ Because she would totally give this guy an earful! ] So one month is going to be nice food, the next just... this?

[ This has not stopped her from finishing her nutrition bar between breaths, mind. ]

I only know his name is Jason, and he's... rather cruel.

[ Well, not like she's hungry anyway, Seiko can get all the bars. ]

Heheh, wait until I find this Jason! I'll give 'im an earful!

[ She brushes off one of her sleeves with a sweep of her hand. ]

Hmm. I haven't seen you before - are you new?

[idolizer]

I've been here for over a month. I guess you could say that I'm rather new.

My name is Sayaka Maizono. [ She smiles. It's not a genuine smile, but she's used to comfort people this way. ]
