Floor 39~
Characters: Shion Uzuki and anyone who wants to brave the gym
Setting: Floor 39/Gymnasium
Format: Starting in prose, but I'll match
Summary: Shion is on a magical restaurant quest
Warnings: Physical violence!
When she had awoken that morning, she knew immediately that she was coming down with something. She just didn't feel right. Thinking it might be a cold, she had gone to the restaurant. No matter how many times she had insisted it was untrue in the past, she knew Jin had always been right. Proper nutrition is key to staying healthy. So one little trip to keep her immune system up wouldn't hurt, right?
Unfortunately though, by the time she had chosen something, all she could stomach was orange juice. It wasn't all bad though, a little vitamin C would still help... Probably. The only problem was that task. She had been sent to find a specific weight from the gym. One that had been painted blue.
It was easy enough to find, it was the only blue dumbbell on the rack. And she was happy to see that it was also one of the smallest. Though, upon picking it up, she realized it weighed a lot more than it appeared to. Probably 30 pounds, or close to it. Not that she wasn't in shape... But she was also feeling fatigued. Not to mention nauseated and cold. So on she went, struggling and straining to carry the weight back to the stairs, stopping every few moments to lower it to the floor and catch her breath.

"It is not, I am actually finished with my task here."

And he started going outside the room... Though he wasn't sure just yet where Shion did need these weights to be brought to.
"May I ask what is yours?"
no subject
"My name is Shion Uzuki. It's nice to meet you, Data."
She gave him a sideways glance, and tapped a finger to her chin.
"I hope you won't think of me as rude for asking, but you're not a human, are you?"
no subject
He turned to her and nodded briefly.
"Do not worry, I have no feelings that can be bruised. You are correct, I am not human, I am an android."
no subject
She was interested in how the two had interacted... She hoped KOS-MOS hadn't been rude.

He kept walking then paused before turning to Shion, looking intrigued.
"However, may I ask you a question?"

He paused, as if he didn't want to sound hurtful.
"... Limited. It strikes me as strange that such an evolved android would not have better social protocol nor would strive to sound human."

It was actually a little funny. Another android commenting on KOS-MOS's behavior. She imagined there was another reason KOS-MOS didn't receive a more human-like personality, but she went with the one she was given.
"KOS-MOS was designed to be a weapon. It wasn't my decision to leave her with only those basic social functions, but I'm afraid it can't be changed now. I wasn't her original designer. I was just an assistant, until a few years ago, when I took over. But the original designer left some of her functions... Encoded, I guess you could say. No one has had any luck working them out. Not even Allen, and he was one of the top engineers at the company."

But... KOS-MOS has learned a little. She used to be even more unsocial than she is now, if you can believe that."
