Ironic this should happen in December...
Characters: Nanako Dojima, Yu Narukami, Commander Shepard, Asch, and open to everyone else that wants to interact with Nanako
Setting: Dorm room 3-15
Format: Take your pick.
Summary: Nanako got sick with the special kind of flu. Of course this isn't going to end well. This is covering stage one through three of her illness, so there will be some backdating.
Warnings: "Death", gross sobbing, Yu flipping tables.
[Stage One]
[Nanako first falls ill on December 11th.]
[She had been doing so well, despite the cold; she had been sure to dress as warmly as she could, even reluctantly taking out her Loveline cloak to bundle up in every time she left the room. So she really didn't know how she got sick, but she still took responsibility for herself... well, when Shepard let her anyway.]
[And she totally didn't tell her brother that she snuck out to the cafeteria, nor that she gave Adachi a hug. As much as she loved him, she was pretty sure he would be upset about that.]
[Stage Two]
[On the morning of the 13th, Nanako could not get up from bed when she woke up.]
[For her, breathing hurt, moving hurt, everything hurt. Coughing was like agony on her lungs, not to mention just being awake and doing anything. Though that... really wasn't the case. She wasn't any sicker than she had been the day before, and most of the problems she was having were her largely in her head. Nanako did not realize this, however; all she knew was it was starting to feel like that time, when she had been in the hospital...]
[Stage Three]
[Nanako is dead.]
[Or at least, she thinks she is. Her cold had gotten steadily worse, to the point where, in her mind, her body had finally given up. All she could do was lay there on her bed, eyes closed, unable to do anything... never mind she was still breathing, her heart was still beating, and she was, for all intents and purposes, still alive.]
[She just didn't know that.]

judging by them plurks, late stage two. D:
He silently sits by her bed, a hand resting on one of her small and cold ones in an extra attempt to keep her warm. Even if the fire was still going, can anyone blame him for both being worried (or angry, for that matter)?
Worries about Adachi being here and stuck with whatever the admins come up with could be brought up later, damn it. Family came first.]
Stage 2.99 o/
Even when he's frustrated enough to take extreme measures like this.]
May I come in?
[A pause. It's doubtful anyone here at the Tower can tell him and Luke apart by voice, except probably for Jade. So - ]
It's Asch.
sob guys D:
Onii-chan...?
we can easily make this before all the terrible death things 8(
[How does one explain replicas and real things to a seven year old. D:]
I know. Come in, Asch. [How did he know? Well, that was his own little secret for now. Until then he just spares a wry smile.] Don't get too close, though.
[Don't want another person getting sick, too. Enjoy the fire?]

Wow it's warm in here. He takes a minute to undo the clasp of his cloak, slinging it over one arm instead.]
I hope I'm not disturbing anything.
[He glances at the girl in the bed; her condition doesn't look so good, but Asch keeps that assessment to himself.]
I just came to ask when you usually train Luke, since I can't pry it out of the idiot himself.
[Going over someone's head is as much of a practical strategy here as it ever was in the Oracle Knights, apparently.]

Onii-chan... is he here to take me away...?

stage 2
Heee~ey.
[She gives the girl a poke.]
Are you okay?

[She paused a moment, turning away from her to cough. It sounded really harsh, like it was coming from deep in her lungs and would bring up blood with it any second.]
N-no... I'm sick. You shouldn't get so close.

[She tries to give Nanako a reassuring smile.]

Onset of Stage 3 because I am a shitty mun. 8[
Shepard already despises this tower, and Jason.]
Nanako?
Sob. ;-;
[She could still hear though; heard her brother crying, and could hear Shepard now, but it was coming in through a filter, like they were talking to her from somewhere very far away. Either way, she couldn't even respond to them.]
[She was dead, after all.]
FEELS AHOY ;_;
Whatever was affecting her had to be some sort of bio-weapon a certain Admin concocted just to get back at Yu for his handiwork... Shepard can only assume at this point--and it boils her blood to think that anyone would ever stoop so low.]
Nanako? Hey, Nanako! Stay with me here!
YUP
/PINGS FOR THE TWI ;_;
Yu? There's only one message waiting, whenever the network comes back up--you won't like to hear it.
"Nanako isn't moving."]

Since it's on the 13th, it's still before she has her little split personality funtiems...|D
[She raised a slightly-trembling hand, pressing it to her (still-pounding) head. She'd heard Nanako-chan was sick, and she'd meant to come visit...but not knowing how she'd gotten here...not being able to remember taking the stairs, or even getting up out of her bed...]
[But no, that wasn't the important thing right now! She was here to see Nanako-chan! Muffling a cough in the crook of her arm, she pasted her best bright smile on her face and opened the door, peeking her head in.]
Hey, Nanako-chan...!

Rise-chan...

How are you feeling? Any better?
no subject
Not really... I keep feeling worse...
no subject
Do you need anything? Or is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable?
[More blankets? Less blankets? Another pillow? Anything...?]

...And what the heck, Stage Three on the 15th also. (Have "Rise" this time. |D)
[And despite knowing that, she hadn't been able to support him at all. She herself been stuck in bed all of yesterday (or at least as much of yesterday as she could remember, which...wasn't all that much), feverish and scarcely able to stumble to the bathroom once or twice, much less visit anyone else. But today the fever seemed to have broken, and the uncontrollable shivering and gut-wrenching coughing and pounding headaches that had plagued her for more than a week now suddenly simply gone.]
[...The memory gaps had gotten worse, however, and she'd found herself in stranger and stranger situations...]
[Truth be told, Rise had wanted to check on Nanako-chan sooner, but every time she'd looked in on her, there had just been so many people there. (
Read: ANYONE AT ALL.) She hadn't wanted to intrude, or bother anyone, and she hadn't been able to think of anything to say or way to call out to any of them either, so she'd just ducked her head and hurried off without a word. But she could tell from how agitated they'd been that Nanako-chan had been getting worse...][Now, at last, there was no-one else in the room when she passed by; so after checking around her, she hesitantly eased inside, closing the door carefully behind her.]
...N...Nanako...chan...?
[Her voice was very soft, very quiet, and she hovered uncertainly by the door for nearly a minute before haltingly crossing the room.]
...sob
[She was dead, after all; the dead didn't move.]
(╥_╥)
[Rise slowly raised a hand, reaching out towards the younger girl, then suddenly changed her mind and pulled her hand back hastily. She opened her mouth, drawing an unsteady breath, but when she went to speak...nothing came out. Dropping her eyes and biting her lip, Rise clenched her fists at her sides, then reached out once again, this time managing to lightly brush Nanako's bangs to the side a bit and briefly press the backs of her fingers to the little girl's forehead.]
[...She felt...so cold...]
...I...I'm sorry...that I couldn't...do anything...to help you...or help Senpai...
...[2/2] because...what can Nanako-chan do, rly... =\
[Drawing back her hand, Rise began to back towards the door.]
...Uh, umm....I...I'll just let you sleep...s-sorry to bother you...!
[Blushing deeply, she made a hasty scramble for the door, scurrying away down the hall, up the stairs, and back to her room, where she huddled on the floor beside (almost more behind) her trunk, still worried but unable to do anything about it.]
[...She couldn't do anything about anything really...]
[Hugging her legs to her chest, she rested her forehead against her knees and gave a sad, lonely little sigh. She should really just leave Nanako-chan alone...and Yu-senpai, too...]
