the wheel is spinning me [Bitty Brigade Meeting]
Characters: Ken Amada and anyone 14 or younger!
Setting: Room 5-07.
Format: Whichever works for you!
Summary: It seems these meetings are getting pretty regular... anyway, the Bitty Brigade meets up in order to discuss keeping people warm and not sick.
Warnings: None I can think of?
It takes a while, but finally Ken drags enough blankets into the empty room to satisfy himself. He wants to keep everyone warm... and while he doesn't like them, he's gathered a bunch of the nutrition bars too and put them on one of the empty chests to serve as a makeshift table.
Now all he has to do is wait for people to come join him. Hopefully it won't take too long... he wants to go back to bed.

Still, he let his hair down and left his jacket with Sayaka (even if she was too proud to wear it), knocking and peeking his head in to 5-07 with the most innocuous and nervous face he could muster.
"Um, excuse me. Is this where the meeting is being held...?"
no subject
"Yeah, it is. I'm Ken. What's your name?"

He wasn't himself though, as well as the shivering and occasional sneeze he kept zoning out, his eyes filling with terror before he blinked and seemed to come back to the room he was in.
"Hi Ken..."

"If you're this sick you should probably be in bed. You didn't have to come."
no subject
He broke off into coughing. He didn't want to be alone either, which was another reason why he had came, because people died of being sick and he kept seeing awful things.

He hesitated a moment, and gave Romeo a pat on the back. There wasn't much else he could do, really.

Yes, that worked.
So here comes Yamato, in his kimono since that was warmer than the yukata, a bit sniffly and drowsy looking, knocking on the door to the room. When the door opened, Yamato cuts to the chase.
"I heard there was a meeting, Amada?"

They tasted disgusting.
"Hrm...what if they have the more, uh, severe symptoms?" Some people were going absolutely batshit. Yamato preferred to stay far far away from those lot.

So Jr. walked in and looked around. He wasn't as sick as some of the other around, simply sneezing at times due to a minor cold.
"Hey there! Is this where's happening that meeting I've read about on the network?"

For now he stared blankly as he tried to chase those other kids voices from his mind. To try and ignore their screaming, and pleading, and cries for help among the sounds of machinery grinding, and the crackling of fire, and the wet tearing. Every now and then Pokey brings a hand to his eyes, pressing it against them, as he dots out any building tears in the hopes that it's more inconspicuous than wiping his eyes.
It's stupid. It's not even real. The voices can't be real. It's just a trick the Tower is playing on him and nothing more, just like Mayfield would do. But why did it have to be so goddamn real sounding? Part of him questions why he bothered to learn empathy or friendship or love in that dumb town anyway. But it's pointless questioning it now.
He blinks his bloodshot eyes once or twice, wiping an arm against his nose to wipe away some of the snot before looking around at the others at the meeting.
"From all the others here, I'm gonna go ahead and assume this is the meeting place I read about so I won't go about the usual of asking.
Instead, I'm kinda curious how many are usual in this group. And if anyone else here has an experience with being in crapsack situations like this one."
Which he's guessing the answer is yes, but he'd rather here it from others than assume.

"It depends. Anywhere from about four to ten, but we're trying to grab more people to come regularly."
no subject
"So not all the kids in the Tower attend. Alright. How long have you guys been trying these meetings?"

"All right. So... first of all, is anyone sick or knows someone they're around a lot who's sick or having a really hard time with the cold?"

She'd wagered she'd been late anyway, given the time between when the post went up and the time the leader kid chose to speak. Aaand she was still too preoccupied to do more than just sniffle and raise her hand in response to the question.

"I believe Romeo is," he said after a pause, when the boy in question didn't move to indicate himself at all - or be aware of reality at that moment.

He keeps his eyes down, wiping at his nose. He's hoping it'll make it look like he's just fighting illness, and not blinking away tears still. Goddamn voices.
"The best thing to figure out is how sick everyone is and what they're effected with, and if there's anyone who isn't bad off yet keeping them away from the ones who've got it worse. And if possible have them pay attention to the most sick so they don't....get hurt."
Pokey wasn't sure what he was going to say there. But "don't get hurt" in the end was the best way he could think to phrase it.

If any of the symptoms were similar, at least they'd know what to look for...
"As for everyone else, you need to drink water and rest as much as you can. If you need food, ask someone - don't try to get it yourself if you're just going to end up falling over. We need to keep an eye out for anyone showing dangerous symptoms - I mean aside from just the normal weakness or throwing up or being shaky. We don't know exactly what's going on, but since it's Jason's month it's probably something really messed up."
