Summary: Dave is running from something only he can see because of his illness.

[Dorm Levels]
You might be lucky to run into Dave here. He's been kind of absent from the dorm levels as of late. You might have been lucky to catch him the few days he actually has been in his dorm, but he usually only tries to sleep before disappearing off again. His poor Pokemon, Missy, has been waiting at the foot of his bed for him forlornly. At least he brings her food before disappearing again.

Right now, he's wandering aimlessly the floor. He keeps looking behind him, expecting something and sometimes he'll pick up his pace as though he has seen something.

He'll eventually start making his way to the stairs though. He really doesn't look like he wants to stick around here that long. He looks exhausted and his movements aren't up to par as they usually are from the looks of it.

[Floor 48: Graveyard]
Dave has started frequenting this floor, even if it was morbid. He kind of just like staring at all the names across the headstones. He makes daily visits to some of his friends' tombstones. He knows there's nothing in them, but it makes him feel better to leave flowers or something once in awhile.

Right now? He's running. He's running as fast as his feet can take him. He's mumbling and tripping over his feet and it looks like he's running from something. What it is? Well, no one else can see it. Only him.

[Floor 40: Storage Room]
He's basically tried to wedge himself in some corner, hands clutched over his ears and threaded in his hair and he has his face buried against his knees. Dave likes floors like these right now, because he doesn't think people frequent them as much. The less he has to be around people, the better.

[Floor 25: Meadow]
Dave had been going to this floor to avoid the cold. For some reason, it stays in Springtime weather, which he isn't going to complain about because it beats the rest of the tower. But he'll move soon. He can't stay on a floor for too long. If he does, the creatures trying to control him will find him and try again.

For now though, he's going to take advantage of the fact that he can be relatively warm for this short moment.

How come? Don't you want to live? Those monsters are getting closer! We have to hurry!

[Tohko winced as she heard them say they should cut off her braids and strangle her and this boy with them. That would hurt her in two ways, and Tohko didn't like that idea. They were getting closer and closer..and while Tohko didn't want to leave the boy behind, she didn't want to die either.]

I don't know what you're talking about. There's already a monster behind you.

[And it was controlling her. And she probably didn't know better. But he wouldn't budge. He doubted there were monsters closing in on them when the monster plaguing him was right there behind her.]

[That made Tohko pause. The monsters sounded close, but they weren't that close! Was this other monster silent? It was a possibility. Really scared now, Tohko cried out.]

T-then hurry up and kill it before it kills us!

[knightime]

You don't think I haven't tried already?!

[He's tried. A lot. And he's spent a lot of time running too. And just because she told him to do it suddenly doesn't give him the ability to do it.]

[Well, that was weird. If he had tried to kill it, she would have at least heard him run towards it..]

When have you tried to kill it? I didn't hear you move towards it..

I'm pretty sure we're talking about two different monsters at this point. [This was getting really obnoxious, and it wasn't doing anything to make him less freaked out about the whole ordeal.]

[Tohko, however, was a little less freaked out, having guessed something.]

Maybe..but it's weird that neither of us has heard the other ones monster yet. Maybe..they're just illusions, created by the Administrators.

Let's say you're right. Waking up to some creepy faceless monster smack dab in your face isn't what I'd call a fucking good day.

[He doesn't know if she's seen her monsters or whatever, but he's fucking seen his own. He's already figured he's being irrational to the point of slight insanity, but seeing the things did nothing to help in try and get over it.]

And waking up to hearing three talk about skinning and stoning you to death isn't pleasant either. But, if they're not real, then..they can't hurt us. They're annoying..and a little scary..but they can't actually hurt us.

They've touched me. Like fucking hell they're just scary ass things. [Why do you think he's been running? Because he can fucking feel them on him.]

[At that, Tohko sighed.]

There are psychological conditions where, basically, illusions like that feel real..but are still just fake. Maybe that's what the Administrators are doing to you. They've been able to take away my sight, taste, and touch..so maybe they're giving you things.

[knightime]

Then you can deal with your crap and I can deal with mine. Thanks for your extremely logical input about the Tower and what it can do. [He's being so sarcastic.]

[And Tohko just sighed again.]

Or we can both help each other minimize the effects that we're feeling.

Naw. [He doesn't mind helping her, but he doesn't need help.]

Maybe..but a little bit of help from others who want to help wouldn't hurt.

[At that, Tohko sighed and started walking away.

Dave, you got Tohko to back down. Do you know how hard that is?!]

..Fine then. I'm going to the chapel. It's quiet there, so the voices in my head might not bother me so much. If you change your mind, you can find me there.
