Cause we're just under the upperhand
Characters: Dave Strider and anyone who wants to run into the teen
Setting: Around the Tower
Format: Either
Summary: Dave is running from something only he can see because of his illness.
Warnings: Paranoia, Insanity, the usual Animus problems
[Dorm Levels]
You might be lucky to run into Dave here. He's been kind of absent from the dorm levels as of late. You might have been lucky to catch him the few days he actually has been in his dorm, but he usually only tries to sleep before disappearing off again. His poor Pokemon, Missy, has been waiting at the foot of his bed for him forlornly. At least he brings her food before disappearing again.
Right now, he's wandering aimlessly the floor. He keeps looking behind him, expecting something and sometimes he'll pick up his pace as though he has seen something.
He'll eventually start making his way to the stairs though. He really doesn't look like he wants to stick around here that long. He looks exhausted and his movements aren't up to par as they usually are from the looks of it.
[Floor 48: Graveyard]
Dave has started frequenting this floor, even if it was morbid. He kind of just like staring at all the names across the headstones. He makes daily visits to some of his friends' tombstones. He knows there's nothing in them, but it makes him feel better to leave flowers or something once in awhile.
Right now? He's running. He's running as fast as his feet can take him. He's mumbling and tripping over his feet and it looks like he's running from something. What it is? Well, no one else can see it. Only him.
[Floor 40: Storage Room]
He's basically tried to wedge himself in some corner, hands clutched over his ears and threaded in his hair and he has his face buried against his knees. Dave likes floors like these right now, because he doesn't think people frequent them as much. The less he has to be around people, the better.
[Floor 25: Meadow]
Dave had been going to this floor to avoid the cold. For some reason, it stays in Springtime weather, which he isn't going to complain about because it beats the rest of the tower. But he'll move soon. He can't stay on a floor for too long. If he does, the creatures trying to control him will find him and try again.
For now though, he's going to take advantage of the fact that he can be relatively warm for this short moment.

That was a motto he lived by. Playing dirty was just playing better, really.
Still, there were things that were stronger. The key there was to fake it 'till you make it. If you can't beat them, scare the shit out of them.
"Maybe you should get a bigger sword."
Because that was clearly the best advice ever.

You can't really play dirty when you have absolutely no control over what was happening.
"I don't think size is the problem."

He wished he had some water with him, but he didn't. So, he kind of sounded like more of an idiot than usual.
"What's the problem, then? Are they just too strong? Too many?"
no subject
Except this isn't even all that much of a game. "I don't think I can touch them." Like, he literally has the inability to do it because he's not meant too. Speaking of which. "It's behind you." Not that he can see it either. Only Dave seems to be able to see it, which Dave relies makes him sound like he's kind of crazy paranoid, but he can't help it.

Though, not touching them sounded like a rule that was probably not really breakable. How would you do that?
Dave's last statement, though, did startle Tahno. He spun around quickly, feeling around for some water and almost panicking when he realized he didn't have any. However, his fear turned to confusion and a slight hint of anger when he didn't see anything behind him.
"...Are you fucking with me or is it invisible?"

"I wish I was fucking with you. It might have been funny, but no." He really wish this was just some really elaborate joke. "I'm pretty sure it's not real. Like, everyone who's gotten sick from this shitty flu epidemic has been witnessing some fucked up shit." So basically Dave is probably implying that it's all in his head, but it's also really hard to think they're just that when he's felt them touching him too. The mind works real funny. "Did I mention how this place plays really dirty? I'm pretty sure I did."

He'd seen a lot of people around here with some serious illnesses. He didn't know how or why, exacly. He was happy he wasn't sick... yet.
"If it's all in your head, it can't hurt you then, can it?"
He was the last one who should say that. He of all people should know that the things in your head can get to you worse than a physical blow. Still, he liked to think he was right about this one.
"Playing dirty is part of the fun. Play dirty back."

"It's really hard to believe that when my mind keeps thinking it's actually touching me." It's unsettling and even if it might be in his head, he can't stop thinking that it might be there. "Pretty sure this is a lot worst than taking an actual hit."
Here is a blank stare for you. "Since it's your idea, you have anyway of doing that? Maybe I should ask them to come out so I can cough in their faces perhaps."
