Don't look at me!

Summary: Colette's flu gets even worse!
Warnings: She's got some hallucination-petrification flu?

For the past few days, Colette's flu has gotten much, much worse. The good news is that she has stopped coughing and sneezing.

The bad news? Not only has she been struggling to walk around the place but her skin has slowly been turning to stone...or so she thinks.

December 11th-12th Anywhere

[Despite what her friends have told her, Colette feels awful and selfish about sitting helplessly while others are suffering. So you can encounter her anywhere in the Tower, struggling (more than before) to get up and walk, only to fall back down again!

Her body....it feels so heavy....as if her skin is changing....]

December 13th-14th Outside the dorms

[Colette has made a horrible discovery when she woke up this morning. On patches of her skin, she can see......stone?

What is happening? It is like when her skin was turning to crystal! Only this time, it is stone....

Thankfully, the patches seem to be well-hidden under her clothes. Once again, Colette tries to get out of her bedroom and act as if nothing is wrong. She is still aching, falling over, sneezing and coughing, though. Help her out as she struggles to approach the elevator?]

December 15th-19th Cafeteria

[Colette has, by now, stopped coughing and sneezing. However, she is now taking extra care to wear gloves and cover up. She cannot let other people see what is happening to her, she just cannot....

She even has them when she is in the cafeteria this morning

Unfortunately, the 'weight' of the 'stone' on her skin makes her fall forwards before she sits down.]

Waaaaaaah!

[She tries to pull herself upwards. Unfortunately, her leggings catch the edge of the chair, making a hole in her knee!]

N-no!

[Instantly, she grabs where the hole is made with one hand, while pushing herself onto the chair with the other. The others cannot see what has happened to her skin, they cannot....

Anybody who passes by and actually saw the hole in her knee will see nothing out of the ordinary, however, since it's just a hallucination.]

December 20th-23rd Library on 3rd Floor

[Anybody who comes to the library today will find Colette - whose leggings are now sewn up - gripping to one of the shelves, still trying to push herself upwards as she is walking around...

One problem, though. When she tries to move her hand, she cannot - it as if her hand is frozen in place!

Help her out?]

[chaos often came to the library, as he enjoyed the stories and was happy to see actual physical books whenever he could. As he wandered the shelves, he sensed Colette nearby and wandered into the isle she was in. He saw the trouble she was having and, knowing that it would just be easier if someone carried her, picked her up.]

Are you alright? What are you trying to do?

Huh?!

Oh, um...nothing. [And she smiles to reassure him] Just looking for a book, that's all.

Then, if you are having trouble moving, let me assist and carry you until we both find it.

[chaos smiled as he said this.]

Huh? What do you mean I have trouble moving?

I saw that you were having trouble pushing yourself around.

I don't have trouble pushing myself around! [And she just keeps smiling. Not having problems, no siree!]

Miss..I did see you. And I noticed that you have a habit of burdening yourself with too much.

[Have a pat on the head.]

I know that I am just a stranger..but I enjoy helping people. You shall not burden me if you ask for some assistance.

B-but....[And her smile fades as he says that and pats her because, orz, he's right....

Man, she's feeling very guilty and pathetic for what's happening to her..]

Do not worry. None of this is your fault. You have nothing to be ashamed about. Please, allow those who like you to help you.

N-no, you can't! [There is no way he can see that her hand is turned to stone.....except it actually isn't]

[He knew it wasn't..but he was also good at getting inside other people's heads and figuring out how they thought about themselves. Illnesses were also something he easily saw.]

Why not? Are you afraid that I shall hurt you?

N-no, it's not that....[She's afraid of letting people see the stone on her leg and burdening people again.

Is this her fault this happened? Because she chose not to become an angel and die to save Sylvarant?]

Then please, tell me why you do not want me to help.

I.....[She takes a deep breath, shaking a little]

You won't want to see it.

What will I want not to see? I can assure you, I have seen quite a few strange things in my lifetime. You shall not frighten me.

B-but....ngggh! [And she still cannot make her hand budge! You might have to help her, chaos]

[Without another word, chaos took his hand..and, since her hands didn't look like stone to him, he carefully curled it into a fist for her.]

Now..are you alright?

[And her mouth opens wide when chaos suddenly manages to curl her hand..]

I.....h-how did you do that?!

[And chaos will just smile kindly in return.]

I used my hand to curl yours into a fist. It is not actually stone or injured in any way, you see. I am sad to say this..but the Administrators are interfering with how you perceive your body.

S-stone...? [What did he say? How did he know? She never said anything about her hand being stone...

Nope. Colette hasn't caught on the fact that chaos is using telepathy yet.]

[And hopefully she won't talk about it too much once she figures it out. He kept smiling as he spoke.]

Yes..that is what you perceive some parts of your body as, right? However..your body has not actually changed to stone. To everyone else, it is still make of flesh and blood.

You okay, kid?

[Lancer leans over and looks down at her. There doesn't seem to be any blood seeping out from between her fingers, but one never knew.]

[Colette gasps, realising that someone might have seen it but tries desperately to cover it up] N-no....it's nothing. Heheheheh.

Let me take a look. Even if you're bleeding, it's nothing to be ashamed of.

[And suddenly, she tries to shuffle backwards, looking very frightened] N-no! D-don't!

Is it that bad?

[It looks fine to him.]

Do you want me to carry you down to the infirmary?

N-no, really! I'm fine! [Still clutching her leg because she thinks it's now stone]

You aren't acting like it.

[He extends a hand to her.]

Come on.

N-no! Stay away! Please.....!

[He freezes up.]

Look, you can trust me when I say I won't hurt you.

[He knows he can look really scary when he wants to, but this is one of the few times he's accidentally intimidated someone.]

Would you like me to go find someone else? A friend or something?

I-it's not that I think you'll hurt me...

I-I'll be fine, really! [Except she's not]

Then...why are you acting like that?

I....[She cannot let him see it. She's afraid that she'll just burden people again and she does not want that to happen because she will feel horribly selfish for it.]

Look, kid. I promise not to laugh even if it looks silly. Just let me take a quick peek, okay?

N-no, you can't...[You might have to be a bit more forceful, Lancer. :(]

Then do you need me to bring somebody up here? Somebody you can trust?

[He doesn't want to have to use force against an injured person.]

I'm fine, really! I can handle this myself - aaaaaaah! [And the 'weight' of her body suddenly makes her fall over and let go of chair]

Woah!

[He reaches over to try to catch her, but doesn't make it in time.]

Come on, don't push yourself. I'll get you down to the infirmary.
