Summary: Feelings about regains, headaches about replicas, yelling at Jade

[There's a redhead in a beanbag chair in the corner, heels tucked in, with an old framed photo in his lap. Asch's attention is pretty much entirely on the picture, which is tilted up so that it can't be seen from any other angle. Want to see? Better come lean around his shoulder and be obnoxious.]

[He puts a hand to his forehead very suddenly, as though taken by an unexpected headache. Uh-oh, isn't the flu epidemic over? Maybe you'd better go see what's wrong with him.]

Library -

[It's as good a place to start looking as any. Asch is very pointedly not hurrying through the shelves, because it's not like it really matters anyway. If Jade can't fix this, then no one can, and at least death in the Tower isn't going to stick.

Luckily, it seems that right there is the teal uniform he's looking for.]

Jade.

[All the greeting you get. No beating around the bush today.]

Is there any way to halt fonon separation once it's begun? Failing that, is there a way to slow it?

[Grumble; Asch grudgingly leans the picture back so that Narukami can see it.]

I'm half convinced it's their idea of a joke.

[He takes a better look at it, a little curious but for now he'll quietly add.]

Aa. Seems we all got something. It tends to happen after an experiment or "game", though I guess they're feeling generous because of a holiday in some worlds.

[...At least it was a photo and not something that has bad connotations in older superstitions.]

[Obviously someone close to him, if his reaction means anything.]

[Maybe no bad superstitions, but Asch isn't quite comfortable with it anyway.]

[He slides the photo over, hesitantly.]

[Yu nods faintly, taking it in his hand and looking at it before giving it back. Figures. Sometimes he felt that way with his own 'family' photos.]

They gave me photos of my family when I first came here. Sometimes I wonder if it's either sentimentality, or a joke.

[he reaches into his coat pocket, pulling out the photo of his own. Photo for a photo seemed fair enough.]

[Fair enough to him. He recognizes Nanako from before, but not the older man on the far side of the picture.]

[Enough of a resemblance at least...]

[It's probably telling that he cares more for his mother's brother and his family than his own... ha.]
