Cake! [open]

Characters: Romeo and peoples
Setting: Cafeteria, backlogged sorta until just after Romeo and France make cake
Format: either
Summary: After his first disastor Miss France taught Romeo to bake a cake properly, so now Romeo is wandering giving out cake. One of Romeo's friends? Come get cake. Not one of Romeo's friends? Come get cake anyways, you get a new friend in the deal!
Warnings:
Romeo walked carefully the pile of cake teetering on the tray he held it on. He was proud of his cake even if he was still embarased by his first disastor and now he was looking for his friends. Of course that didn't stop him giving cake out to everyone he passed, there was pleanty to go round.

"Hello! Would you like some cake?"

BLINK BLINK.

Alright, so of all the many things Ienzo had expected Romeo to do, shoving cake very literally in his face was not one of them. He moved his head back, staring at it for a moment, before seeming to get what was going on. "...Oh. I suppose..." Carefully, he took the plate and set it to the side. "...Thank you, Romeo."

We can just stick with prose, I don't have enough of them anyway. |D

Not overwhelming... yeah... heh heh... heh. Good job Romeo.

"...Well, yes, we do," he said, inspecting the cake. It didn't look very good or very bad -- just a simple piece of cake covered in vanilla icing. "...I... don't normally eat it, though."

"...No. Cake is fine." Ienzo said this somewhat quickly, having noticed the difficulty in Romeo's offer ahead of time. He... really did not do well with decisions like that. ('Like that' meaning very simple ones that involve his likes and dislikes.) "I just don't get the opportunity."

Best answer to everything. (Unfortunately, Ienzo doesn't think so. :c)

Oh dear. Two pieces? He wasn't entirely sure if he wanted one. "...No, Romeo, that's too much," he responded. Honestly. He was going to get sick if he started eating too much, and Ienzo had long since realized that life (or at least his isolated, twisted perception of it) was not especially forgiving when it came to sickness. "I really only need one."

"...It has nothing to do with making someone else angry." So Romeo jumped to the conclusion that doing something like eating too much would have a punishment in the form of angering someone else. (Which it probably would, when he thought about it, but he had gotten fairly well at not pressing his caretaker's many anger buttons.) "It has to do with the fact that I simply don't eat large meals, and my body is more accustomed to it." Which was also true.

Spirits up? Him? AHAHAHA. HA. HA HA HA. Good one, Romeo!

...Oh wait. You were serious.

Try as he might, Ienzo just completely failed to understand the boy sitting in front of him. Why was he... smiling all the time? All. The time. No one could possibly have enough reason to smile as constantly as Romeo does. He gracelessly backed out of answering to Romeo's first comment, but could not avoid the second.

"...Well," he said after a considerable pause, "I've been trying to gather information about the residents of this tower... there could be something that would help explain this matter, hidden in the data..."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-16 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
He simply shook his head. "There doesn't seem to be a pattern..." Pause. "...except for those gray-skinned creatures... I didn't expect more than two or three... but there has to be nearly twenty of them now..."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-17 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded. "Several of them seem to recognize one another... of course, I haven't asked them all individually which world they came from, so that is just a guess..."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"...Oh... would you?" Ienzo tilted his head slightly, looking at the overly-enthusiastic boy. He wasn't exactly sure how detailed Romeo might be in terms of the information he might gather (it might even be outright wrong, which is frankly unacceptable), though it would certainly be welcome help. He thought for a moment, and then spoke again. "...Yes. If you could do that... I would very much appreciate it." A pause. "...Thank you."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-19 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Well...

"...Name. Age. Home world. Collar color as well... that should be enough for now, I think. Thank you."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-20 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded, internally quite grateful for Romeo's offer. Heavens knew he wouldn't be able to talk to them all himself, between finding them and his own disinclination to speak.

...What. Seriously, Romeo, why with the cake?

"...No thank you. It's fine."

[identity profile] tempustemporum.livejournal.com 2011-09-21 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god oh man oh god oh man oh god oh man...

Immediately, Ienzo wrenched his hand away from Romeo. Not to be ~rude~ or anything of course, oh no, but he has some 'slight' problems with that sort of thing. (Good thing you didn't hug him though, he would have flipped out.)

...And a second later he is back to his normal stoic self, not saying anything.

"...Yes. I'm fine..." He set both hands in his lap, and his gaze shifted steadily downward. "...I... prefer to have my personal space. That's all it is."
