Axel's got a new pet! (backdated)
Characters: Axel (
flared) and everyone ever
Setting: Dormitory floor 1 and some of the lower floors (1, 3, and 4) during the 25th or any day of the week following
Format: I'll follow whichever you respond with~
Summary: Axel's got himself his first regain... and ends up lighting up like a kid at Christmas.
Warnings: Nothing at the moment!
So it's still cold and this hasn't made things any better for his powers, which is why Axel has resorted to staying bundled up and stationary in his room for as long as he can. Well, unless he has to eat or something. And he can't expect himself to not pay Xion some attention, either, especially after such a nasty sickness spell.
Thankfully during his alone time he isn't really alone at all. Instead, courtesy of the tower, Axel's regained a little buddy from home to keep him company. It's a little smaller than the Assassins back home, at least coming up to the bottom of his knees when it stands now, and despite its rather alarming appearance the way it floats and swirls alongside Axel with its wing-like arms fluttering at its sides may be... charming for some.
If you'd like to say hello, you can find the two of them in any of the mentioned locations. The Assassin will probably be reaching the higher bookshelves for Axel to pick out books in the library he can't reach. On the fourth floor it will be staring curiously out at the fog and trying to even go outside only to bump into the glass. And finally on the first floor, well, that's where you might catch Axel tossing bits of cereal or something at the Assassin for it to swoop up and nom with interesting aerial displays.
Ok, so it's not a puppy, but it's damn well awesome.

Who knows how long it is before the replica realizes he's being followed, or if he didn't at all. He's on the stairs and going up and trying not to even think about the last time they were in close proximity to one another. It's far too familiar to just run.
Yet he can't run forever, and he knows it, so shoulders set and fist clenched, he finally does at least pause long enough to half-turn on a landing and give him a glare over his shoulder.]
What do you want?
[Well, at least he still has some bite... for a dead guy.]
no subject
Once the replica turns around he pauses as well and his Assassin floats to his side, eying the other warily.
He grins.]
Can't a guy say hello?
no subject
[Can't blame him for being a little bit wary, right? Especially because it's only his run ins with monsters on his first few days in the tower that made him have to calm down so that he wasn't dying every single day and making a certain friend of his sad every single time.
The grudge is still a thing, though, if the way he's glaring at the Nobody is telling.]
no subject
Sir, shall I examine him closer?
He shakes his head before turning forward to stare at the Replica. Yup. He's still standing here, nonchalant as ever.]
I don't see anything else going on around us. Do you?
[Axel glances around to prove his point.]
no subject
You know what I mean. Unless you come from before all that happened.
[Which he doubts, since yeah. When is he never skeptical.]
no subject
And just what time are you from anyway? Let's get to know each other better here.
no subject
Rep gives him A Look, before just holding out his hand and doing his best to concentrate a power that wasn't Riku's into it. And the moment he did? An illusion appeared. Flickering in and out of existence from little to no practice, but there's an illusion of a certain book there before it's gone.
Satisfied? Because he's lowering his hand and turning around again.]
no subject
Axel on the other hand shows no sign of putting up a defense. He just watches, smirking, curious... and when he sees that brief flicker of a book his grin widens, coupled with a laugh.]
Well, well. Looks like everything about you is still borrowed, after all.
[Oh, shit.]
no subject
If his blood wasn't boiling before, it sure was now. His fists tighten, and it almost feels as if he's shaking since he tried to just walk away. But no, Axel wasn't like that. He couldn't just leave it be without the last laugh and oh, how it still infuriates him.]
...no, it's not!
[He doesn't know when, or probably just didn't register it, but he spun around and likely sent a Dark Fire spell toward the two at that remark. Yet when it sinks in, he inwardly grimaces, tsks, and tries to leave again.
'It's over... that castle's gone. I'm not some tool for them anymore... right?'
Shouldn't Axel, of all people, know just how easily he can kill someone if he wanted to?
...
No, he's not going to admit what he did to Riku that one time. He just won't.]
no subject
Even so, Axel's still grinning.]
Now I wonder how much of that was yours, too! Color me curious!
[Sure he knows how easy it would be for the Replica to attack him, potentially kill him, but does that stop him from pestering and testing his boundaries? Absolutely not. All things considered, he should be more lenient. But, no. Still gonna poke at you and see what develops.]
