Welcome back to hell...
Characters: Siira
speaks_dirty and OPEN
Setting: Room 1-09, 39th Floor Gymnasium, 3rd Floor Library
Format: Action
Summary: Siira’s back in the tower and not happy.
Warnings: Swearing, her mouth is rather foul.
Room 1-09
[Waking up from sleep paralysis was a thing she had almost forgotten about. Happily, forgotten about, she‘d add. Waking up in the tower was more welcome than she‘d thought it would be. The remaining screams of the dead Planet still ringing in her ears. She was furious and feeling sick. And when it finally wore off, those in the room would be welcomed to the sound of an enraged yet equally agonized scream.]
FUCK!
[She coughs and gasps, already working on yanking off the white suit somewhat erratically and not caring about who is seeing her strip down to get it off. It‘s too confining. She hates being confined. A fear she‘d had since she was a child. Coughing and breathing heavily, calming down quickly as she can, she yanks open her trunk to grab one of her suits. There’s less in it this time but that‘s fine. She‘s only disappointed in the lack of a hand gun and she doesn‘t need one. That‘s why she was called Fist Fighter or Martial Arts among the Turks.]
39th Floor Gymnasium
[It was cold but she didn’t care. She grew up in Icicle and spent a lot of time there during the Geostigma Outbreak up there. Stripping off the jacket of her suit, she shivered and went into a few martial arts movements, warming her body up and relieving some of her anger before she lost her temper with someone. It doesn’t help so she moved on to the weights, swearing as she discovered that they were unmarked.]
Screw it.
[She just grabs one of the nearest weights and swears again as she nearly dislocates her shoulder in trying to lift it. Not that one then. She searches again until she finds a few that are acceptable, setting them up on a bar bell and proceeding to lift weights until her rage has subsided, she’s covered in sweat,]
3rd Floor Library
[Pulling a pair of oval shaped glasses from the pocket of her suit, Siira look over the covers of several books until settling on one from Gaia, published by Bugenhagen no less. She had time to kill, let’s read.]

Re: Library
[By now, her temper was abated and she was as calm as she could be for being back in the tower. She did give a grin to Tohko though, lifting the book to show her.]
Nah, found somethin' from home. Not somethin' I'd normally read but it's home.
Library
Ah, alright then! That's pretty good. We must be from different universes then..I've never seen this book back at home!
Re: Library
[Only possible explanation. Although, she couldn't imagine Tohko being the sort to like reading something like this. She didn't look it. Normally, Siira wouldn't even give it a second glance if it hadn't been for the fact that the Lifestream had resurrected the old man before she first came here. That alone caught her interest, curiosity getting the best of her as she wondered why this was happening despite how poor her education in the Slums had been. She was definitely not on par with any of ShinRa's or the WRO's scientists.]
Depends on where's you're from though. What's Gaia mean to you or Materia?
Library
[Tohko scratched her head and sighed.]
In my world, Materia is Latin for 'material'..and Gaia is an old Greek goddess for the Earth. But they probably mean different things to you, since you're from a different universe.
Re: Library
[LOL, no idea really. And it's a shame too.]
Yeah, definitely different universes. Materia is concentrated Mako energy, formed from the Lifestream but ShinRa figured out how to make it themselves.
[She plucks a small orb from her bangle and tosses it, underhand, to Tohko.]
That one is Ice. Not Mastered yet but when it is, it'll form another Ice Materia. They're extremely valuable when Mastered.
Library
Well, I am a librarian here, but I'm also a book girl! In my universe, I love and know more about books than anyone else!
[Tohko nodded at the explanation, burning the information onto her brain before managing to catch the Ice Materia.]
I see..why are they valuable? And how do you use them? Are they like magic?
Re: Library
You're welcome to take along this one then. I can find another one from the Planet. I'm sure this one can't be the only one. Probably the only one from Bugenhagen but hey, I never was as clever as them science types.
[She fingers the Fire materia left in her bangle with a grin.]
Mastered Materia has more than one spell on 'em. That Ice one has two different Ice spells on it, one is stronger than the other but the stronger the spell, the more energy it burns up from ya. So, pretty much just like magic but nobody on Gaia can use it without the use of Materia. That's a gift that only the Cetra have. Apparently. Basically, you just have to have the will to use any type of Materia. I'd be glad t'teach you one'a these days, once it's Mastered.
Library
Oh, I couldn't, if you were interested in that book! Read it first and let me look at it when you're done, alright?
[A book from another universe would be wonderful to read..but she could wait. Tohko held the Ice Materia as she burned the information onto her brain..and smiled like a madman.]
If it's no trouble, I'd be happy if you could teach me! I'll to my best to learn. And..what are the Cetra?
[Tohko loved fantasy stories, to the idea of learning magic was wonderful to her.]
Re: Library
[She'd graduated though, with high grades. That she'd been able to do that on top of working as a mercenary was surprising. Maybe that was another reason that Veld had recruited her.]
I'll work at mastering it then and see if I can figure out how to craft another bangle.
[Well. How did one describe the Cetra without revealing intimate knowledge?]
Cetra, they're also called Ancients. They look and act like regular humans but they're spiritual. Very spiritual. They were practically wiped out a couple thousand years ago, the Calamity from the Sky, I think they called it. They're extinct now.
Aerith was the last one and she was killed. I saw the Lifestream resurrect her, and a lot more people, but the Planet is gone now. They're all gone.
Library
[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]
Alright then..are those bangles how you hold your Materia?
[Tohko then sighed and nodded at that last bit of information, looking rather..sad.]
I see..I'm sorry to hear that. I know my words don't mean much, but that is pretty horrible. Who killed Aerith?
Re: Library
[And she doesn't seem bothered by it. If it wasn't for living there, she'd have never got into fights in the street, never have learned how to really fight, never would have become a mercenary and then she'd have never become a Turk. And she had enjoyed being a Turk.]
That's how I do, yeah. You can also get weapons with materia slots in them. I'm a martial artist though though it's really more convenient to wear a bangle than anything else.
[It was sad. It made her sad whenever she thought back to it.]
It's been a few years since she died, not a big deal. It's a shame that there are no Cetra left though, they're connection to the Planet could be really useful. Maybe even help resurrect it and the Lifestream.
[And then a scowl crosses her face because she can't help it.] The Silver General. Sephiroth.
Library
[Tohko nodded at that explanation.]
Right..that makes sense. Since my daggers don't have slots for them, I guess I could put them on a bangle..thanks.
[Tohko sighed at that.]
Even if it has been a few years, I bet it still stings..and it is terrible that her death led to the deaths of countless more. It would be nice if you could resurrect it.
[And when Sephiroth's name was mentioned, Tohko just looked at the girl, shocked and stunned.]
Sephiroth?! Why on Earth did he do that? Did he think that by killing Aerith, he could be the new god of the planet?
Re: Library
[That sounds awful, actually. Her mom was one of them but her mom was a saint otherwise. And she never went out with strange men.]
Not her fault. It's no ones fault. The Lifestream was acting up anyway, it could have been a precursor to the end.
[So she knew the general.]
You know about him. Why he did it, I don't entirely know. I wasn't there but I was there during Meteorfall. And that was his doing, she hoped to stop it.
[She did stop it.]
Library
[Tohko nodded.]
I see..and I know a little bit about Sephiroth, but not everything. And..what was the Meteorfall?
Re: Library
[The many bloody noses and broken bones she was responsible for would astound Tohko, she's sure.]
You don't want to know much more about him, trust me. Meteorfall was the approach of an enormous Meteor, summoned by the Black Materia, that would destroy the Planet.
[Glad Veld kept in contact with a few people in ShinRa or the old Turks would never have made it to Midgar in time to evac the citizens.]
Library
Well, that's good to hear!
[She then sighed and scratched her head.]
..I do want to know more, to be honest. But it's terrible that he would do something like that. I guess that's the kind of 'god' he wanted to be..
Re: Library
[She's exceptionally bitter about both Sephiroth and Jenova. Who knows why.]
Library
Re: Library
[Subtle way of finding out whose still here.]
From what I've heard, and I'll give you that it's only hearsay since I obviously wasn't around when the Calamity first came, it was Jenova's own cells that poisoned the Cetra and killed them off. It infected them and drove them insane. A normally peaceful people.
Library
[Tohko nodded as she heard and thought about this.]
I see..that's pretty terrible. Why did Jenova's cells do that? And why did people keep experimenting with them?
Re: Library
The ShinRa Electric Power Company, they provided power for the entire Planet and a military force that was completely unrivaled. And they did this through Mako energy, tapping into the Lifestream itself. The company itself fell during Meteorfall but it was coming back by my time, working alongside a couple of other groups and trying to fix what they fucked up.
As for Jenova and it's cells... Couldn't tell you. I avoided the scientists and their projects at every opportunity, even if I ended up tagging along with SOLDIER's once in awhile.
Library
Sorry..I come from a different universe, so I'm just curious about yours, that's all. But it's good that ShinRa is trying to fix their past mistakes! And alright then..I guess I'll just have to ask around and find out later. Thank you for telling me though!
Re: Library
I'm sure there are books here about it all, you can read up. No doubt there are plenty of books about ShinRa and its rise and fall.

Re: Library
[Just a short nod, one born of habit from following orders.]
Asking questions is how you learn.
