Martial Arts [Siira] ([personal profile] speaks_dirty) wrote in [community profile] towerofanimus2013-01-03 10:38 pm

Welcome back to hell...

Characters: Siira [personal profile] speaks_dirty and OPEN
Setting: Room 1-09, 39th Floor Gymnasium, 3rd Floor Library
Format: Action
Summary: Siira’s back in the tower and not happy.
Warnings: Swearing, her mouth is rather foul.

Room 1-09

[Waking up from sleep paralysis was a thing she had almost forgotten about. Happily, forgotten about, she‘d add. Waking up in the tower was more welcome than she‘d thought it would be. The remaining screams of the dead Planet still ringing in her ears. She was furious and feeling sick. And when it finally wore off, those in the room would be welcomed to the sound of an enraged yet equally agonized scream.]

FUCK!

[She coughs and gasps, already working on yanking off the white suit somewhat erratically and not caring about who is seeing her strip down to get it off. It‘s too confining. She hates being confined. A fear she‘d had since she was a child. Coughing and breathing heavily, calming down quickly as she can, she yanks open her trunk to grab one of her suits. There’s less in it this time but that‘s fine. She‘s only disappointed in the lack of a hand gun and she doesn‘t need one. That‘s why she was called Fist Fighter or Martial Arts among the Turks.]

39th Floor Gymnasium

[It was cold but she didn’t care. She grew up in Icicle and spent a lot of time there during the Geostigma Outbreak up there. Stripping off the jacket of her suit, she shivered and went into a few martial arts movements, warming her body up and relieving some of her anger before she lost her temper with someone. It doesn’t help so she moved on to the weights, swearing as she discovered that they were unmarked.]

Screw it.

[She just grabs one of the nearest weights and swears again as she nearly dislocates her shoulder in trying to lift it. Not that one then. She searches again until she finds a few that are acceptable, setting them up on a bar bell and proceeding to lift weights until her rage has subsided, she’s covered in sweat,]

3rd Floor Library

[Pulling a pair of oval shaped glasses from the pocket of her suit, Siira look over the covers of several books until settling on one from Gaia, published by Bugenhagen no less. She had time to kill, let’s read.]

[Having picked two similarly weighted single dumb bells up Sephiroth went to where he'd re-positioned his coat and proceeded with a set of squat-raises just on the spot. Thigh muscles under leather pants drove the weights all the way up to his chest and then arms did the rest. All controlled, Sephiroth was used to the burning.

Of course he'd noticed the suit jacket she'd pulled back on and thought only that it was a little strange that someone would come to the gym with a suit jacket in the first place. Sure, Turks wore suits but not everyone was a Turk. As he came to end of his first set and placed the weights down on either side of him, Sephiroth couldn't shift the fact that he knew, for some reason that this stranger kept looking over at him.

He took the opportunity to say something. It's not that he minded anyone watching him, but in this case he felt that there was much more to it]

Some of the equipment is tricky here, best that you watch what you're doing.

[It was purely selfish help though. Sephiroth wouldn't stop at all to help someone who was stupid enough to get themselves hurt in the gym. The gymnasium was the only place in the Tower where he could get as close to forgetting all about being trapped here by focusing on something else, as such he simply didn't want anyone ruining the tranquility with their agony - he'd never had to put anyone down for it yet though.]

Hmph.

[Then she should have checked out the equipment first. He has no sympathy. Sephiroth crouched to pick up the weights again and stood there, counting down in his head to for a few seconds before starting his second set.]

[Well that comment just rubbed right up the wrong way. Sephiroth paused mid-set and put the weights back down on the floor either side of him. He looked over at Siira again, trying failing to place her face.

But why would she make such a comment if she didn't know him. Careful not to pre-judge before he'd established facts, Sephiroth worded his response.]

How would you know? From Gaia?

Gymnasium

[Icicle. Knowlespole. He remembers there, that tiny town full of snowboarders and mountain climbers that had sat for a while literally under his nose (so to speak!) during the Reunion.

Regarding the fanclub though, she might as well be from another planet. Sephiroth's memories fall short, as a quizzical look crosses his features. Could it have been likely to have gone on without his knowledge?]

What fanclub?

[Sephiroth hadn't had any part in actively promoting, nor indeed had ever gotten involved with said fanclub when it had been going on. He had always had much more important matters to be dealing with. But of course he had been a hero and, especially younger, females liked to dream.

He didn't remember it, but it sounded like a memory he wouldn't miss. That doesn't mean he'd dismiss it as having never happened though, this girl had said she was from Gaia after all. He'd given up most of everything that he was before - it's not like he had much of a choice with the Lifestream in such an active state when he joined it, but perhaps this was a fine example of a reason why some things were best forgotten about.]

I see. Well, of course it would have been.

[Somethings don't change, that smirk for example. Though it's somewhat more sinister than back then.]

[So she was from Icicle, but knew at least a little about the trends in Midgar way back when. That didn't really add up to Sephiroth, and it certainly didn't justify her earlier comment about his lack of social leanings. Due to this the sass doesn't really register much with Sephiroth either.]

So what were you doing in Midgar?

[He's playing civil too. It was a charged question though.]

[Sephiroth smirked at her response. Recalling the last time he'd seen Midgar; pulling down the remains of the top of the Shinra tower in an attempt to bury Cloud, the pool of blood he'd banished him down to before somehow-

He'd never understand what had went wrong in that moment. He'd tasted victory for the second time only to have it stripped from him. In the moments of silence here in the gym, the smirk dropped into a scowl.]

Maybe you should have stayed at home.

It's not like it all matters much now with it all being dead.

[He refered to the Planet of course with the disgust brought on by the fact that it wasn't his destruction. Something had stolen that right from him.]

Unless this really all is an extensive illusion.
neverbeamemory: (Evileyes)

[personal profile] neverbeamemory 2013-01-28 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. No illusion is absolute, though you'd be surprised how long they can be upheld and that's just in my experience.

[Of course. ShinRa had wrapped him in such an illusion for a very long time, he'd eventually found the cracks and exploited them. He was good at creating his own illusions as well, such as carrying Jenova's body throughout the whole world while having it carry his own image without even being close. Therefore it had to be a very complex illusion here in the Tower, to keep the cracks from him so well. Though the admins here did have control over him both physically and mentally, who knew to what extent - something hard for anyone to think to overcome.

It's a good job he hasn't figured you a Turk yet, Siira.]

So how long have you been here?
neverbeamemory: (Smirk)

[personal profile] neverbeamemory 2013-01-29 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[By extension, would he become to be the Tower's problem? It could only be a matter of time for sure. He's still much too new here to be able to identify so-called cracks in this illusion.]

I'm sure they have, and I'm sure they have their reasons for not doing something about it.

[It's a circle really. You only learn things through listening to others, but those things may be tainted by fear, bias, ulterior motives etc. With no way to verify, how can one obtain the truth.]

I believe this is my fourth month here, not that there is anyway to tell, mind. Other than the shifts of the administration.

[personal profile] neverbeamemory 2013-01-30 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Some probably want to believe it too.

[They could go on listing the types of people that would just accept rather than question. After all, not everyone could be a superior being.

Sephiroth only nodded at Siira's addition to his comment about the way to tell time here. There wasn't much else to say on the fact, so, crouching once more he went back to the weights.]

neverbeamemory: (Prettyboy)

[personal profile] neverbeamemory 2013-02-01 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[Lucky Turk, when he doesn't know you're a Turk.

Sephiroth himself quite often gets caught between the 'the worlds gone, move on' and the 'they stole my world from me' schools of thought. There is also the 'was I actually responsible in the end' question which will never get answered truly.

If Siira is still there when he's finished that set of 30 Sephiroth puts the weights down again. It may be advantageous to know what others from Gaia think destroyed their world.]

What do you think caused it?
neverbeamemory: (Smirk)

[personal profile] neverbeamemory 2013-02-02 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[Pause.

When this girl was from, the Lifestream was rejecting people? She had to be from some time then, that he wasn't aware of. Which was odd in itself, the last time he was a spirit in the Lifestream there hadn't been much going on that he wasn't aware of or responsible for - what with the Geostigma. So, had the Lifestream finally dissolved his essence in the end? Perhaps that had been a reason for this 'rejection' of souls?]

Sounds like it was re-balancing itself. How inconvenient.

[After all, there had to be a cycle. He had relied on it. Though there were souls, that he would take particular displeasure in having been given a second chance.]
