3-01 and about

[ She's been awake for some time, but it's just now that Amber rolls out of bed, tugging at the collar wrapped around her throat. It's not tight or uncomfortable, but rather a good amount heavier than a necklace would be. It's a constant reminder, and the weight of it makes her a little worried that whoever held the remote could blow her up at any time with her brain and guts exploding. Whatever here is, it certainly isn't heaven, and she certainly isn't dead.

It doesn't make any sense and she can't think about it now. There are no answers to be drawn out of simple memory when the last thing she remembered was hei. At the thought of him, a smile breaks out on her face. Whatever and wherever this tower was, she's sure that it's not much different than where she would be normally. It's just a matter of information gathering. ]

Alright. [ The golden eyed girl smiles. ] I wonder what kind of people my roommates are? I've never shared a room before.

[ She giggles. ] This is exciting.

Cafeteria

[ Some time later, Amber makes her way down to the cafeteria to eat. The girl sitting by herself at the end of the table is absent-mindedly chewing on a spoon as she spoons oatmeal into her mouth. It's tasteless, but she's not very hungry, and her thoughts are more of the 'end of the world' than what's being shoved into her mouth. ]

Mmmn...

[ Amber looks up at the ceiling, leaning into a palm. ]

[He didn't expect to see her of all people. When he entered the cafeteria, he came to a complete halt. He was different from before, notably the longer hair though ditching a beard this time. He may not have been the real Hei, but even so, those memories did not halt his surprise.]

[ Let's be honest, she is quite surprised at his appearance, but like always, Amber hides it behind a mask of smiles. He looks different, more emotional, but the longer hair pooling around his face means that a longer time period than their actions inside the gate. ]

...so the tower brought you back then.

[Doesn't sound angry given the tone of his voice.]

[ She folds her hands behind her back, smiling warmly. ]

Besides, do you recall what happened at the Gate? [ she can't quite tell that much, it must be the tower screwing with her. ]

Sure. If you're willing tell me. [ propping herself back into her seat, then, chewing on the spoon a bit. ]

[He takes a seat, sighing a bit. This might take a while.]

Before the tower, I was at this facility that worked on gathering data from many dimensions, creating clones of various other beings, most of which are more powerful than any Contractor. Our existence as clones was unknown until it was told to us when we finally broke free from the control of those that created us.

So you still have his memories but you aren't him, not completely, even though genetically.. you should be the same?

[ She's gonna reach out a little to see if he recoils, just to test his reactions. ]

Correct, though the cloning process has its flaws as well--

[He backs up a bit, staring at her.]

[ PATS YOUR SHOULDER! pat pat. ]

[He blinks, looking a bit uncomfortable.]

[ You didn't slap her, this is new. You did last time, so she wasn't sure how much you learned and needed to test the waters. ]

[It's not long before Mao the mogwai eventually comes into the cafeteria. The small little guy is holding a phone, a faciliberry. Noticing the new woman, he waves his hand, while Hei stares at it as well.]

Oh, and he was with me as well, though only for a week--What are you doing with that?

[ She flicks her gaze over to the Mongwai, smiling as she gives him a wave in return. ]

I'm eating, do you want some oatmeal?

[fusedstars]

[The mogwai flinches at the oatmeal, shaking its head and spouting unintelligible talk. Still, considering it was looking at Hei, it expected him to make it something.

Hei merely stared back, and snatched back his device.]

3-01 HEEEEEY ROOMIE

[ A quick trip back to her room was the plan for Mami. To be honest, she's only seen her roommates in the morning and at night when she went to bed. She never... Really talked to them since they never seemed to be in the room when she was there. It was strange.

With a soft hum and a shrug, she opens the door to find... Someone in her room. It takes her off guard for a minute, but she smiles and gives Amber a nod before shutting the door behind her. ]

Ah, hello there! I'm guessing you're my roommate.

[ Amber nods. ]

I guess so~ My name is Amber, it's a pleasure to meet you.

My name is Mami Tomoe, it's a pleasure to meet you too.

[ With another nod, Mami sits on her own bed, studying the girl slightly. ]

Did you just wake up, Amber-san?

Yes, it seems I was asleep for some time, my arms are sore. [ Giggles lightly. ]

Have you tried stretching them out?

[ Doing as told! Getting the blood back into them~ ]

Ahhh. I wonder how long I was asleep for...?

I'm not sure. You weren't in the room when I was awake.

So I was moved here between now and when you woke up? About how long have you been awake, Mami?

[ Urotsuki almost walks practically entirely past the girl before she doublechecks, taking a few steps back to stare at the girl again. What knows what exactly about Amber it is that makes Urotsuki stare, this girl is a little weird in general. But she's definitely staring, apparently not even bothering to say anything yet. ]

Mmn?

[ Amber glances towards the blonde girl, tilting her head slightly to get a good view. ] You're free to sit down, if you'd like.

[chainsawn]

You don't mind..?

[ She actually seems a little surprised, yes, as if it's a big deal that she's allowed to come and sit down. ]

[ub001]

Of course not. Take a seat and join me.

Food tastes better when you're with others, after all.

[chainsawn]

[ Well, she doesn't have to be told that twice. So despite her blank expression there's almost some faint happiness in it as she sits down at the table. ]

I didn't know that. How does being together make food taste better?

Because you're less concerned about what you're eating and more concerned about the people you're eating with.

[chainsawn]

Ah, I think I get it. [ a small nod. ] It means that you could eat anything then since you wouldn't really taste it either way.. it sounds nice to me.

[chainsawn]

Urotsuki. [ She's slowly starting on her own food here as well.. ]

I'll remember it. Maybe I should make a list of people I can eat with any time just to make sure..

[Do the ones up top ever take a break? Every time she turns around it seems like there's someone chomping on oatmeal. Like this girl right here. Well, not that it really matters to her. Kyoko takes a seat across from Amber--not bothering to wait (or even ask for) an invitation.

[She points her fork at Amber as she speaks, nodding towards the bowl of oatmeal in front of her.]

They turned me away from eating anything else until I finished this.

They probably did you a favor, y'know. You start throwing up if you try having anything before eating that stuff.
