Setting: Pretty much everywhere the entire week.
Format: Action, but I'll match ~.
Summary: Ayaka's been waiting for prince charming. Ten year later, that bastard has yet to show up.
Warnings: Nothing right now, other than a very angry tsundere.

[ To be perfectly honest, Ayaka's lost track of the time she's been at the tower. But she knows she's been waiting for a long time. Waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Waiting for her real servant to come along. But that day never came.

She was lonely. She was a twenty-seven year old girl waiting for some dumb servant. How childish.

For the most part, Ayaka hung around the dorm floors. There was nothing to really explore. She was sick of this place. Right now, she's leaning against a random wall and staring off into space. Maybe you should try and talk to her? ]

Floor Twenty-five
[ This place again. There's not much going on except for Ayaka sitting. Occasionally, she'll mumble to herself though the words are pretty unclear. However, the next few words are actually clear! ]

I should have never gotten involved with any of them. I'd rather fight ten Holy Grail Wars then spend a damn minute in the same room as them.

Graveyard
You really have forgotten about me, haven't you?

[ See Ayaka. See Ayaka talking to a particular gravestone. She's sitting, her knees up to her chest as her eyes cast downwards. She knows the gravestone won't answer back but all of these years of built up frustration is starting to finally get to her. ]

Whatever. I don't care anymore. I knew I lost you a long time ago. Lancer isn't a good servant either. He doesn't care about me anymore and neither do you.

[ She buries her face in her knees. ]

I don't care... I don't care... I don't care...

[She takes a seat on the ground a few feet away; close enough to chat, but far enough to keep a respectful distance from Ayaka.] As well as anyone can expect to be holding up in this place, I guess.

[The past few days have left her a bit listless, to be honest. Ten years meant there was plenty of time to recognize a certain pattern to the experiments that took place each month. Of course the more seasoned residents would notice it, and while she had been blind for some time, as her mind grew sharper, it became easier to pick up on it.]

Something's happening. I'm not sure what yet, but... I'm worried. Do you feel it?

[ She nods. Ayaka wished she could fully agree, but she knows that she's not right in the head. At least Hakuno was fairing better than her that was always a good thing. However, what Hakuno says gives Ayaka's eyes a bit more life. She looks over at her now, eyes slightly wide. ]

Do you think... They're planning another experiment? There have been a lot of new arrivals recently... You've noticed them too, right? We haven't had a sudden wave of people for a long time...

[She nods.] I think so, yeah. And it's the middle of the month, I think... that's when things usually start happening, unless it's a particularly bad month.

[She looks around, as if expecting something to pop out at them. She's not quite uneasy, just... alert.]

It's been a while since they've done something completely unpredictable. I'm worried.

People's ages. They're either too old or too young, and their memories are fucked up too.

[No comment on the newbies. She wouldn't be here alone if she found Saber among them.]

Has something happened? If I must discipline him, I shall.

We need to be on guard, then. This isn't a Jason month, right? [ She could barely keep track of who was in charge at the moment. ]

[ She stopped in her tracks, turning around to face the empty spot where Lancer once was. ]

Are you calling me a coward?! I'm anything but that! You don't know what I've seen back home or at this damn tower! I would have sacrificed myself for Lancer, but he doesn't care anymore! [ Or, well, that's what she thinks anyway. ]

[ She takes a breath, her body shaking. ]

You... You try watching everyone You care about leave right before your eyes....

[Hakuno frowns a little.] I'm not sure... I've been helping with the farms for a while now, so I've stopped paying attention to what they serve in the cafeteria. [The nutrition bars are, of course, still the best way to determine if it's a Jason Month.]

I doubt it, though. If it was, we'd still have a bunch of people complaining and warning everyone all over the place.

It's another experiment, then.

I guess the years have changed us. [ She felt like a burden to Lancer, but she didn't want to admit this out loud. ] People grow distant. People change, and we're both victims of that.

That's true... Then again, I'm sure there are some people who stopped caring about who's in charge this month.

Either way, it's not a bad thing to be just a bit cautious.

More complicated that the last few, if you ask me. Be careful around those newbies. And if any of them give you trouble, just call for me.

[And, even if they didn't hold a spirit link, he would get to her somehow.]

I understand that, but you are his Master, are you not?

That's ridiculous. I can get letting their guards down a bit with the other administrators, but not caring enough to ignore the signs of a Jason month? That's just begging for trouble.

[Even in her early days, she learned quickly how to read those signs.]

But yeah, you're right. Want me to keep you updated, in case I find anything strange?

You know how they are these days. It's been ten years, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are some people who stopped caring.

I am. [ Though she wasn't too sure these days. ] I think he knows I can take care of myself, so he only checks in if he really needs to.

There's always someone better to bother out there, but I chose you. [ Keeping a hand between her legs just to hold the edge of her skirt down, she leans over towards her with a shit-eating grin. ] Don't you feel special? You should.

So who do you desperately not care enough for that you're out here talking to their tombstone?

[ To Ayaka, that's pretty much code for "Rin is bored". ] Oh yes, I feel special. Because, you know, who doesn't want to be bothered by you?

It's none of your concern. Just... Someone.

Yeah, I know. But still... [She sighs, shaking her head.] There's a difference between resigning yourself to being stuck in this tower and actually giving up. We can't allow ourselves to do the latter.

Even if people have become used to dying and coming back... [A topic she's long since gotten over being uncomfortable with. She's had her fair share of bad ends, after all.] We who have been here for such a long time should still stay alert, to help the younger crowd.

You're a good woman.

[This was true even back when Misaya was alive. Something about her kindness and emotion reminded Lancer of Emer. Even now, embittered by her years of waiting, she was still a good woman.]

[Saber frowned.] That is not the way a Servant to treat his Master.

[ Blink. She wasn't expecting another answer, really. ]

I guess you're right... I think I've been pushing him away though, with my negative feelings.

Then allow me to ask you this: why are you still his Master? We do not require prana from a magus to exist here. Why tie yourself to him so?
