It had been a little unsettling. Okay no, that's a lie. It was really fucking unsettling. Waking up laying next to your husband who is suddenly fourteen or something?

But it was a quiet unsettling, so ultimately she continued holding him, staring at the opposite wall as she tried to figure out if something like this had ever happened before. Plenty of gruesome experiments. Plenty of deaths, plenty of tragedies, plenty of mind fucks...

Nope. Nothing like this had ever happened before. So she had no idea what to expect - her Seer's sight was useless - and that made it worse. Pulling the boy a little closer - protectively - Rose buried her face in his hair and sighed. She didn't like where this was going.

"John. Hey. Wake up, sleepy head."

Oh boy did she need a drink. Today, at the bar sits a six foot tall blonde woman who may or may not look familiar to the tower residents. You would probably recognize her as an older Rose Lalonde. Approach? She seems pretty intent on getting pretty drunk...

After a decent drink, it was time to find more people. More friends, to be exact, and take a head count. Who is here, who is young again, maybe someone from her time... Finding her friends was important, top of her list of to-do's.

"John, it's nothing to take offense to. It's not like you're all that tall when you're thirty four either." Chuckling, she presses a hand to his cheek, then rests it on his shoulder. "...honestly, it's somewhat of a relief - albeit a little heartbreaking - to see you younger again."

"Aw what? Seriously?! I'm still shorter than you when we're all grown up!?"

Guys are supposed to be taller than girls, especially the ones they're married to!

"Though uh...do I want elaboration on that?"

"Yes, by four inches. And...probably not. But if you want it, I'll tell you." Just going to rest her hands in her lap and scoot a little closer to him. "You should know it's not a pleasant tale though. But I'm sure you are likely expecting it."

"Unless it ends in 'And then we found a way back to Johto' I think that kind of goes without saying. But uh...are you sure you should tell me? Time isn't my thing but isn't that against the rules?"

"Time isn't my thing either, but I'm sure it will be fine if you want to know. Splintered time lines don't really affect anything here. Hell, for all we know we're already in one, so you can't really make it worse."

"Pfft. And here I thought knowing everything about everything was your thing. Guess I was wrong, huh?"

He laughs and sticks out his tongue.
