Characters: Akise and you.

Summary: World famous detective Akise Aru! Not so much.
Warnings:
[The name is a failed attempt from a few years ago to separate himself from his friend that both failed and stuck. It hasn't been a good decade for Akise. He has grown detached from the world around him in an attempt to figure out the tower. After all, out of the two things he ever wanted, being a world-class investigator is the only goal that still seems remotely possible (and even then, not by much). To have nothing to show for all his efforts is discouraging, and has taken its toll on him. While Akise remains as helpful as ever when he gets the chance (although he's started to wonder if that's his real personality), he is much more observant. Too much, one could say. Faced with the infallible precautions of the tower's administrators, Akise is prone to seeing clues where there are none. Unconventional ambitions when it's always the same old. And yet, he never even so much as suspects one of his friends of not sharing his loyalty to each other.]
[And yet, he does manage to solve the odd case now and then. Small stuff. Stolen possessions and the like. Akise is physically unable to give up his ambition. Similarly, he can't forget about Yukiteru either. He can't do anything but push this immovable wall, because an even greater mistery than how this tower works is why he can't ever change, remaining fixated on the same things as if they were a constant - an inherent part of his being.]
[Akise leans on a wall, scribbling down everything about the day he can remember in the hallway. Events that transpire are also written down, and people may actually wonder what he's doing if this wasn't such a common ocurrence. He could write this in his phone, but it's been long since it was disposed of in one of his gambits to best his former rival in love. Perhaps he wouldn't be so opposed to developing more relationships, as he used to do, if events had transpired more smoothly. Looking back, it all feels like an avalanche of calamity, even after so long. Akise is aware that this may very well be a trauma.]
[Speaking about, Akise actually finds himself able to feel the pencil in his hands today. He's died so many times by now that it is rare for him to see the end of one his periods of complete numbness before another tragedy befalls him. The fact that his fighting skills deteriorate thanks to that only serves to make it a cycle. On the upside, it's encourage him to become a much more careful planner when he does have actual information to go on.]
