Summary: After 100 years Meiling has lost the happy attitude.
Warnings: Grouchy maybe even pissed off Youkai. 100 years in the tower does not make for a happy dragon

[Hallways]

Meiling is not paying any attention to anyone in the hallways, just a determined look on her face. She's wearing something new and there seem to be scars crossing on her arms mostly. She looks more annoyed and ready to attack more then she usually would. Dare you approach?


[Floor 13]

If one was to see her, one would think that the Youkai was sulking. She was seated in the back, but as far away from the stairway as she could. Waking up after exploding was not fun. She should have been able to escape that monster and get to the other side in time..She should have had more time...

She's going to sit there, thinking and staring at the pew in front of her for some time. She just didn't want to run into anyone else just yet and explain why she didn't return from her shift.

I know I shouldn't but I don't like not showing up.

[She frowns and looks back up. She had come straight here after waking up. Didn't even bother to check in or check on anyone so she wasn't sure.]

I hope I didn't worry everyone too much.

[ Some say politeness might be traded for honesty over the years, and that's... both true and not-true for Sakuya. She won't be giving sugar-coated words of reassurance. She'll simply remain silent. That's her demonstration of honesty and politeness rolled up into one.

Why? Because it should be obvious by now: worrying is wasteful here. People will come back regardless. ]

[She always had a worry that at some point, the tower would stop bringing them back. But She's mostly kept that to herself, out of concern that they'd take it as a idea. Her expression is falling back into the slightly angry yet calm expression she's been wearing for the past 50 years or so, Trying to get back to where she needs to be.]

Did I miss anything important?

[ Her reply is rather clipped. ] It's expected now, so it's fine; I made up for it. [ She's known Meiling for a while now. Know that she can be, say, not the most diligent of workers. Instead of always trying to correct her, Sakuya has compensated with her own work. ]

No, there--[ A pause as she reconsiders: ] Actually....

[A wince. She'd be working on that but that truth still hurt from time to time. But her expression turns curious at the pause]

Oh? What happened?

[She stands up, figuring now is the time to at least get over the fact of death and move on to more important things once more. The tower would not wait for one to get their feet back on the ground]

Have you noticed that others are thinking that the wrong amount of time has passed?

...No, Not really. I haven't been talking to people since I woke up. How long are people thinking it's been..or has not been I guess?

It ranges from a couple years to over a thousand. [ She looks off to the side for a moment. ] I haven't said anything to them about it, however.

That could mean any of us could be affected as well.

[Meiling frowns and crosses her arms, She did not like this. The physical experiments and such barely phased her anymore. Psychological and Mental ounces...still had her worried.]

I don't want to ask but...How many years do you think we have been here?

[ The answer come quickly and naturally to her: ] 436 years.
