[Since the stair katamari, Karkat had made a habit of climbing the stares by keeping close to the inner wall of the staircase to give him something to grab onto if it ever happened again and be couldn't flatten himself out of the way.

And now he was ascending upwards to their agreed meeting place. After all, it was just an aquarium, right? There couldn't be anything dangerous in there. And besides, it wasn't like they were going to swim in it or anything. Just watch the fish. Horrifically boring, but safe.]
