BANGING DOWN THE DOOR NOW
Characters: Luke and Asch
Setting: Asch's dorm room.
Format: Action tags
Summary: Now that everyone is back to normal, Luke feels it's the best time to break down Asch's door and beat the hell out of him for keeping secrets.
Warnings: Redheads yelling at each other. Need I say more?
[Luke seemed to have a look of rage plastered on his face that seemed to be more appropriate on his original's face. Considering that his destination was in fact his original's dorm room, it probably didn't take much to realize why he was so annoyed. Once outside his room, his fist came up, pounding on the door so hard it looked more like he wanted to beat it off the hinges.]
Asch! Get out here! Right now!

Asch! Get out here! Right now!

So it shouldn't come as a surprise to Luke - ]
No way in hell!
[Yeah, if you want him, Luke, you're going to have to get that door open and come in and get him.]
no subject
Don't make me break this door down!
no subject
Fine. But we're not discussing this out here.
[Yeah, don't be surprised that he knows why you're here. Asch turns away from the door, leaving it open, and sits back on his bed.]

[He followed Asch into the room, kicking the door closed behind him before he folded his arms over his chest.]
You're dying. Why the hell didn't you say anything?!
no subject
[Do not flip shit do not flip shit - ]
no subject
[He darted in front of him, keeping a safe distance back. After all, he wasn't that weak yet... right?]
I'm already involved! I'm you're replica, remember? It's because my fon slots are open that you're dying. We need to get you help right away!
no subject
[See dat sarcasm? Of course you do.
Asch glares before turning away, lifting the lid of his turnk for a moment to retrieve his hairbrush.]
I don't see why you'd bother. It's only going to make you stronger.

[Or at least, he hopes that the whole "brought back from the dead" thing would apply to this. Truthfully, he doesn't particularly want to find out, but admit that to Luke? HELL NO.]
no subject
[Luke paused for a breath, fighting against the urge to cry and beat up his original. Seriously, how could he be so stupid? He was supposed to be the smart one!]
You're my original. We're too different people that have the same connection. Of course I care!
no subject
[Whatever he was about to say is cut off by sharp pain - of course his body would decide to do this right now. Asch clutches his head, glaring at Luke with the eye not hidden by his arm even as he winces from the pain.]
no subject
[Oh god, oh god, what do, what do?! Luke ran over to help him stay up right, grabbing onto him without a second thought.]
no subject
Congratulations, you got to see my death in progress.
[It's maybe a hair less angry than it was before the pain.]
no subject
D-don't say it like that, dammit!
[He dropped next to him on the bed.]
I'm not going to let you die. Not because of me.
no subject
[He folds his arms, stubborn as ever.]
no subject
[...the "how" was the hard part. Asch hadn't exactly spilled on how he had his fon slots opened, but...]
We need to talk to Jade. He'll be able to figure this out.
no subject
[He pointedly shifts to refuse to look at Luke.]
no subject
[Sorry, Asch; guess where he gets his stubbornness from?]
I will drag you over to Jade myself if I have to. Even if I can't do it yet, I know I'll be able to eventually!

[
Dude you're what, level 25 now? Don't even try.]And no matter how strong you get, I can still incapacitate you like this -
[Hey look, the connection is painful again!]
no subject
[Luke grit his teeth in pain, trying to resist the urge to grip his head. Instead, he balled his fists up at his side, and flinging a punch at his original in the next moment.]
no subject
Asch drops out of the way of the punch and rolls onto his back, using the momentum to swing his legs onto the bed and aim a kick at Luke's head.
Luckily he hasn't put his shoes on yet?]no subject
no subject
Have I made my point, or do we need to do that again?
no subject
no subject
I could kill you right now, you know. Crush your windpipe with my elbow. I bet it would even help my condition, since replicas release fonons when they die.
no subject
You wouldn't dare! You're not that kind of person!
no subject
[And after leaving that to sink in for a moment, Asch sits up and slides off Luke, sitting with his knees folded up against his chest
because still pain ow.]Don't be so quick to judge. You don't actually know a damn thing about me.
no subject
I know what you eventually become. You need to get your head out of your ass, and do it quick, because I know that happy person is in you somewhere, no matter what the heck you've done in the past.
no subject
That version of me... I don't know what to think about him yet. So don't start.
no subject
[Cute and cuddly fuzzball Asch... WHAT EVEN. Still, he could like that... especially if it meant that Asch was living and all.]
...it's not a bad thing, you know. Being happy.
no subject
[We do not talk about floor thirty two. Especially at this precise moment. Cue another uncomfortable shift.]
And it's not being happy that concerns me. It's everything else.
no subject
no subject
[More shifting. It's hard to get comfortable when sitting hurts, okay?
It's not like he feels emotionally exposed or anything.]no subject
[Hold on, he needs a moment for his brain to process that.]
But why me?
no subject
[SIGH this being comfortable thing isn't happening.]
My memories are still fuzzy, but if I had to guess, it's because you were the first person he learned to trust.
[Psst hey Luke, read between the lines a bit, why dontcha.]
no subject
Well, you're just going to have to learn to trust me then. I know I haven't earned it yet, but I'm trying to do my best to be a better person... and not just for my own sake.
no subject
[Probably because for Luke, it actually is that easy.]
no subject
no subject
[Just... shaking his head slightly. You don't get it, Luke.]
I don't give trust so easily to the people that I actually like. What makes you think you deserve it?
no subject
I am you... you are me...
[He shook his head, speaking up again before Asch could ask him what he meant by that.]
We're different people; we've grown up different ways, but I still come from you. Who... can you trust, but a part of yourself?
[Luke frowned a bit, poking his toe at the ground.]
I know I didn't make the best first impression, but... I-I'm trying hard to be a better person. Maybe someday I'll be better enough that you don't regret me being around.
no subject
Multiple bad impressions, actually.
[He folds him arms, not elaborating. That would take all day. Asch tips his head down -
Mutual Footstare Society, anyone?]You are doing better. Even I can't deny that.
[It's just better isn't good enough, alright?]
no subject
Thanks... I am trying, though I do know I have a long way to go.
no subject
Well, we'll see how far you get.
[Totally eyeing Luke's hair even as he starts to straighten out his own, yup.]
