vier ❤ with my heart shivering in fear; i can see today's reflected in each past tear
Characters: Yuno Gasai and you.
Setting: All areas that have monsters.
Format: Starting with prose, but I'll match you.
Summary: Backdated to the end of the aging up event! Yuno decides to go on a rampage and starts offing some monsters. If you're not careful, you might end up being the one killed, too.
Warnings: Violence and gore; if anything more specific shows up, I'll edit this.
Today, the pinkette had decided that she was done being the toy of the Tower, done being used by people around her. Of course, she hadn't killed in quite some time, but she was annoyed with it all and had to get rid of this anger that was pent up inside of her.
Messing with her wasn't much - but she knew that the one she loved, Yukiteru Amano - was messed with as well; both mentally and physically. Even though she was fine with it at the time, being unaware of the situation, now she wanted to do something. Of course, she had already left the admins a message earlier, but she didn't care whether or not she would get an answer.
All she cared about was that he was safe.
And so she'll slice and dice, no matter what it is - whether it be you, a monster, or something entirely different.

Floor Six!
The Diary said he could find her at Floor Six. Using its guidance, he was able to avoid notice from any monsters; a Dead End flag only came up once, and he was able to change it within minutes. Eventually, he spotted a familiar head of pink hair. Panting from the exhaustion, he came up next to her, his hands on his knees, out of breath.
"Y-Yuno..." he wheezed. "F-Found... found you."

The girl spun around, a huge grin on her face as she waved the knife as a means of saying 'hello', already covered with various things; blood, mud, and weird black gunk on it. It seems she's been busy. "Did you miss me? Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?"
no subject
"I'm fine," he answered, finally catching his breath. "No, no, I was just... worried about you." And everyone who would have the misfortune to cross her path, but that goes unsaid. Best not risk making her lose it right now... he needed to calm her down, first.
"Why are you out here?" he asked. It wasn't as if he didn't already know. His Diary said as much.

In fact, it was the least of her concerns as she put the knife back into its proper place before fiddling with her dress uncomfortably, her eyes on his as she asks the question that's on her mind.
"But are you okay, Yukki?"
no subject
"I'm... I'm fine." He answers. "Why are you out here? If you really wanted to blow off steam..." He can think of several ways to do that that don't involve the risk of someone in the Tower being maimed or killed.
... and thankfully, she hasn't gone off looking for Akise. Hopefully he doesn't decide to show up right now.

The pinkette merely brushes it off, a huge grin on her lips as she speaks up, her voice almost seemingly innocent, even if there's more to it than that. "I'm okay, and you're okay, Yukki. That's all that matters." And really, that's all it meant. She didn't want to speak about it, especially since her actions aren't relevant to him.
She doesn't want him to get hurt. She doesn't.

"Yuno, you know you can tell me anything, right?" he asked quietly. He had regained his composure from sprinting up several floors to find her, but seeing her like this didn't help. "Is something wrong? Did... you hear something about me?"
He knew her Diary wasn't working by now, which, after depending on it for so long to protect him, might have made Yuno panic to some degree. "I'm fine, okay? If I wasn't... you'd be the first to know."
no subject
It was true; she didn't hear anything about him recently, after all. But she did, however, do something important before he showed up. And he didn't know about it. Which was why she didn't tell him.
After all, if he wasn't there, he wouldn't be able to predict it. "And I'm fine, Yukki. You don't have to worry." And to confirm her words, she leaned in close, planting a kiss on his lips.

And honestly, even though Yuno is covered in monster blood and gore right now, the fact that she's kissing him makes him relax just a little bit. His eyes close and he returns the kiss... even if he's going to have to do laundry after this. Only Yuno can make blood and guts seem vaguely romantic.

He wants to think this place is different.
"I believe you, okay?" he answers. He squeezes her hand after.

"I do. I lost you once... I won't lose you again." He has to fight back tears. "I'll be waiting for you, okay Yuno? I love you."

Those words make her remember the skull that she had obtained. But she pushed those thoughts aside as her smile becomes more gentle. "It's okay, Yukki. I'm here now. I love you, Yukki."

"I'll be waiting for you, okay?" he asked quietly, is voice meek and nearly broken.
as promised (except late because sleep is a thing that happened)
Luckily his endless training with Reno hadn't counted for nothing, Shion dived out the way and stood up again after his roll. He hoped that attack was accidental, considering the dead monsters around. "Are you alright?"
don't worry about it; i'm slow anyway!
"I'm fine." But as she says the next word, it's quite noticeable that her cherry tone is forced, her words coming out in a robotic-like monotone. "Really."
it's okay! we can be slow together

You're wasting your time, y'know.

[ Her voice sounds completely crazed, and it's obvious that she's showing signs of possibly attacking the red-head, her eyes wide in both fear and astonishment. She doesn't want to do anything just yet; especially since he isn't involved in the conversation.
... Yet. ]

Isn't it obvious? Even if you kill every single one of those things, they'll just gonna come right back. There's no reward for killing these things, so you're gonna waste all that energy for nothing.

[ She tightens her grip on the knife she's holding, her eyes glaring directly at the other girl's as she twists her foot several times. ]

What's all of this supposed to accomplish, then? Don't bother if it's something stupid like, "it's to protect the person I love!" They're more likely to get killed by your stupidity than anything here.
[Of course, she has no idea of knowing that Yuno actually has someone she wants to protect--or how deeply she wants to do so. Really, she's just taking shots to see what sticks.]
no subject
It's not stupid.
no subject
What would you call it then? Seriously, just what do you think you've accomplished here? Tell me.
no subject
[ Her voice is cracking just a tinge, if only because she does not want to deal with all of this at all whatsoever. ]

Floor 35
He expected maybe one or two monsters. It was the middle of the day, after all, and they were fairly rare. But there seemed to be some kind of commotion attracting them on this floor, and that's when Enoch found himself confronted by something familiar, but grotesquely twisted - it rose out of the ground in an inky pool, one bulbous body and two flat heads, eight spindly limbs total. It reeled in pain as it made its way towards him, making that raspy little growling noise its kind did at home.
Like any Ramp at home, it paused as it raised its claw, and Enoch snapped out of the shock of seeing one and grabbed its wrist, whirling it for momentum and flinging it into the one that came up behind him, sending them off the edge of the staircase.
When had those arrived? What were they doing here? How could the tower twist something that was itself born of the definition of twisted, of wrongness?
These questions filled his head but were pushed to the back of his mind immediately when he saw what was causing the commotion that was drawing the monsters: A lone young woman, fighting off whatever came near. Despite his lack of usable weapon or armor, he rushed up the stairs and onto the island to help, undeterred by the cold wind on his bare chest and sandaled feet.
"Are you all right?"

The girl immediately dismisses him, her eyes narrowing as she twirls the knife in her hand without making a single cut. "I'm not dead."
