Angels and fairies
Characters: Enoch and anyone
Setting: Floor 86, may span out into multiple floors.
Format: Doesn't matter!
Summary: Enoch decided to take a look at the new floors. And then he encountered a Weeping Angel.
Warnings: ...it's a Weeping Angel. And this is the fairy meadow floor. Watch out for those fairy circles! Any and all characters in this log may die
Enoch had seen the extra buttons in the elevator and decided to go exploring after breakfast. So after the, uh, rather sweet and very pink breakfast, Enoch took the elevator back up to the dorm floors and, cloak around his shoulders but pushed back like a cape, he set off down the stairs, into new territory.
It was largely uneventful. That is, until he hit the summery meadow. He didn't realize it wasn't another power-loss floor, and while he was wary of it, something out there caught his attention. A winged stone figure. Tentatively, though he feared traps, Enoch stepped off the stairs and began to make his way towards it curiously. And then he realized there were mushrooms here growing in a perfect circle. How strange. Enoch knelt down to examine them for a moment.
...Was someone watching him? Enoch stood up and looked around again. Strange, wasn't that angel statue hunched over a moment ago...?
Maybe he should get out of here. He turned to leave, and when the feeling came back stronger than ever he began to run.
It was a flash of movement in front of him, and Enoch skidded to a halt so quickly he fell, luckily keeping him from meeting its eyes. He scrambled to his feet and ran a short distance away, looked over his shoulder. ...and stared. It didn't move. Until he blinked, and the distance between them was cut in half.
...Okay. Okay that was its game. Enoch would just...start trying to edge around it...
Is anyone here to help? Anyone fae-savvy enough to let him know he's about to step into a fairy circle?
Or will you leave him to be distracted by the fae for the split second it would take for the Weeping Angel to kill him?

...Did you see what happened at the wedding, when I tried to bring up her earlier conversation with us?
no subject
I'm sorry..so much happened..I didn't see what you spoke about with her. I tried to talk to me, but after awhile, she ignored me and walked off.
However..she probably doesn't know a lot of things because other people manage to hide it from her..or because she buries it intentionally in her head. Her past, if I'm right, was pretty horrific. She doesn't want to remember, so she tries to bury as much of it as she can.

*He takes the second note again, the one with the sentiment that was meant for him.*

[Tohko smiled as he took the second note again.]
You can keep that one. It's meant for you anyway.

...She mentioned when she spoke to us that she sleeps a lot. I can't help but wonder if she's truly sleeping.
no subject
It's probably because she would really rip into you and everyone else who knew if the information reached her.
..One part of her may be sleeping. The other part of her may be kept awake at other points in time and hides away. Or..maybe she does sleep..but in a state that represses memories and shows her true self. Not any sort of sleep that you or I would know.

*His own experience was limited to the souls of the women bound to the Tower, and he always drove them out before they could take over his body.*

But..books helped, and Tohko nodded at that what Enoch said.]
I've only read about possessions..but it's not a bad guess. This is a Tower of Souls. There may be a few free-floating souls here without bodies, and one of them possesses Ruana, making her do terrible things while she's 'asleep'. Or..perhaps she's quite a complicated person, and, after facing many tragedies, forced her own soul to break off with certain memories and aspects of herself so that she didn't have to deal with the pain. Maybe one part of her does go to sleep..only to have a crueler part wake up.
[Tohko then sighed.]
..Of course, this is all speculation.

[Tohko sighed, thinking.]
It did look like that..and maybe the other parts of her lie to each other, or alter the memories of the other parts. If the other parts are too weak or young, they could be tricked or forced into that sort of manipulation.

I don't have any experience to back this up..but some stories have people with more than one soul in a body, and those souls have been shown to trick others, ally with others, and even kill some.

I know it doesn't..but they're good starting points, and they help me understand things in other universes..and other people.
[She then nodded.]
Right..it's a rare condition, and there are some people who argue that it doesn't exist, but is has been shown that some people, due to trauma, stress, or other things, will build up one or two other identities separate from themselves to shield themselves.

...But is it normal for them both to have the same name?

It would be hard for her to hide this condition for very long from the other Administrators. They may not have told her though, due to a different personality threatening them. And that would make her worse than Jason..but it also makes her a bit sadder than Jason. At least Jason realizes what he's doing and can stop anytime he wishes.

[Tohko sighed.]
I wish I could talk to Ruana for a long time and figure this out..if we could send messages to different parts of her personalities, it might help us quite a bit.
no subject
But Ruana shows herself so rarely.
no subject
That's true..one personality could hide information from the others, or all of them are utterly clueless as to what the others do, since no one has told her about it.
[Tohko then sighed.]
She does..and I hate to say it, but I wish she would show up more so that we could get a feel for her personally.
