[Iiiit's explorin time]
Characters: Asch and Luke/Sheba/Guy/Jade/whoever else
Setting: New floors time! Spread across the first few days of the month as needed.
Format: Look can I just permanently say I don't care; starting in actionspam I guess.
Summary: Exploring the new floors, and also everyone and their mindreader talks about fonon separation, ahoy!
Warnings: Aside from the usual redheads yelling, talk of death, near-death, and depression.
[Floor 100 and descending - open, probably the first or second]
[Anyone who decides to take the trip down from the dorms into the new floors will find Asch just off the staircase on floor 100, staring at whatever it is he's seeing. He takes a step forward, hand raised as though to open a door or a gate, before turning away with a disgusted expression and stomping further down the staircase.
Care to go after him?]
[Other floors, via elevator]
[Given how much the Tower's expanded, it only makes sense to take the elevator down to explore the lower sections of the new floors. Unfortunately, the elevator is also used by virtually everyone in the Tower, which means running into some people he does like, and some he doesn't.
Luckily, he doesn't know how to work that door close button. Be stuck in an elevator with a grumpy redhead, y/y?]

Of course we do. Those headaches are associated with Lorelei trying to communicate through our fon slots.
[Very pointedly not mentioning that the Lorelei headaches are different... But seeing as Lorelei isn't in the Tower, it shouldn't be hard for Guy to figure that out.]
no subject
[Nope, there is no way that is flying past Guy right now. Lorelei isn't in the Tower - if he had been, Luke would have been having those headaches like crazy, something that Guy hadn't seen even once.]
Well, I'd say you're pretty unlucky, seeing as Luke hasn't had any that weren't related to you somehow since I've been here. It's a shame.
[The elevator in sight, Guy scoots by to press one of the buttons, his expression unreadable even with the reflexive turn of a smirk at the corner of his lips.]
But you know, I think you'd be better off actually telling me something a little closer to the truth.
no subject
He wouldn't be affected by this.
[The elevator arrives, and Asch enters it before giving Guy a more informative reply, leaning slightly against the wall of the small chamber.]
My internal fonons are separating, and he's absorbing them. This is a side effect.
no subject
[He doesn't say it. He doesn't bother to say it. Fonons are what kept the body together, after all. If Asch was losing his, then... he was just on a slow walk towards eventual death.
And here he was, telling no one, and keeping on as if it wasn't a big deal.
Idiot.
Guy's eyes narrow, voice low and quiet.]
Have you talked to Jade about it?
no subject
He confirmed it for me. It's something to do with the fact that Luke and I are perfect isofons.
no subject
[Something that Jade had said was impossible, like having matching fingerprints. And yet here they were.
Guy's lips thin in concentration and he crosses his arms, leaning against the elevator wall.]
So maybe it's just like the idea that similar fonons attract one another. Except... I don't know why that would just apply to you.
no subject
[Hey, guess what, their fingerprints match too! How unfortunate for anyon trying to tell them apart.]
Replicas aren't the same as their originals. They're composed entirely of Seventh Fonons. And the process only began after I had his fon slots opened at Choral Castle.
no subject
[He grumbles, a thumb running against the bridge of his nose.]
I guess this it more a question for Jade, isn't it...
no subject
[At the very least, Asch doesn't know. His interest in fomicry extends just far enough to keep things between him and Luke in order; he doesn't understand most of the details.]
It's beyond my level of understanding, at least.
no subject
...]
Can the flow of fonons be stopped at all, now that it's started?
no subject
Possibly, but it wouldn't return the fonons I've already lost. According to Jade, the best solution would be to complete the loop and let our fonons mix unimpeded.
no subject
[He hesitates, a palm against his neck.]
Would he be able to do that here? Not to throw doubt to Jade's abilites, but the equipment they needed to open all of Luke's slots was a bit on the heavy side...
no subject
[Now that his burned hands are starting to sting less, Asch is giving them another look over.]
If Jade thinks he can do it, then I have confidence in his abilities.
[He doesn't sound particularly enthusiastic, though.]
no subject
[It's a little colder than it should be, Guy glancing briefly at the God-General's hands before his eyes flicker back up, brows raised slightly wit an expression that could either be concerned or simply unimpressed.]
You'll risk things like this happening while you wait for that?
no subject
[Not like death is really something to worry about, here.]
This isn't the worst it gets. When my wounds stop healing naturally, then you can worry.
no subject
[If. Not when.]
no subject
If that's what it takes to make you happy.
[When did you start giving a shit, anyway.]
no subject
The fact that Guy actually laughs at Asch's response shows just how much he trusts Asch to actually keep to that. Congratulations, he'll be checking up on you regardless of what you do or don't say.]
Sure, whatever you say. But I was thinking more what it takes to not do something too idiotic.
You're still alive. Try to keep it that way.
no subject
I'll be fine either way.
[Hint: The either way does not refer to "whether you check up on me or not."]
no subject
[The elevator finally shudders and slows to a stop, the doors opening wide to the cafeteria level. Guy raises an eyebrow at the redhead.]
You think you can make it to the infirmary by yourself?
AND THEN WE FINALLY FINISHED THIS THREAD OMFG
[It's an almost distracted tone of voice, because he's leaving the elevator whether Guy is following along or not. Burns suck, man.]
