Characters: Luke and open.
Setting: Graveyard - Floor 48
Format: You pick.
Summary: Luke just had a massive info dump dropped on him, and now he has to try and figure himself out all over again.
Warnings: SO MANY GODDAMN FEELS.
Saber had escorted him back to his room after that whole... madness that went down in the middle of the hallway, but it wasn't like Luke could do anything at the moment. He felt... hurt, crushed; like something had smashed his insides to bits and all that was left was a pasty goo dripping out of his ears. He laid on his bed and rolled around for a little while, but it didn't do anything to assuage that feeling.
That was why he headed out, up to the forty-eighth floor where the graveyard was. He'd been meaning to for awhile -- he needed to check for Tear's gravestone after all -- but he hadn't exactly been willing to actually do it. Right now, though, he needed the peace and quiet away from everyone else... and when he finally located her grave marker, he sat down before it, curled up on the crowded, cold earth with a sigh.
...he will kill ten thousand people. That's what his future on Auldrant held for him.
Guy, his best friend since forever, was really royalty, and was hiding a secret from him that he "didn't need to know."
Just how much didn't he "need to know?"
He wanted to curl up and cry again, but he had already done plenty of that. Now he knew; he was a murderer, and ignorant, selfish murderer, and it was far too late for him to do a damn thing about it. How wrong he was about himself... he would have hated to see his Shadow now.
Luke let out a sigh as he huddled himself into a ball, able to feel Amnon against his chest from the cheagle's usual hiding place under his coat.
"Tear... I wish you were still here," he finally murmured softly. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. I don't know how I can fix this... please, help me..."
He curled himself up tighter, burying his face in his knees.

He paused a moment. "Actually, 'Luke' is my original's name. He just doesn't want it anymore, so he let me keep it.
"Still, Dark Pit's kinda cool," he continued. "Makes you sound like you're not going to take crap from anyone."

blackmailreference."And I don't. Not from gods, not from minions, not from people. He's a servant of Palutena - but I'm a servant to none other than myself. Now that Hades is gone, I'm free to do whatever the heck I want."

"Yeah, that's... that's the thing. I don't know what to do. Most of the monsters are gone at home. But I can't fly on my own anymore, and if something happens to that idiot, then it spells bad news for me. He got his soul stuck in a ring for three years, and it was... nothing, for me. It was like I didn't exist for three years."
It was honestly the most terrified he'd ever been in his short life.

Was really crappy; he had no idea how to say that and not sound like a horrible human being, so he decided against it.
"Guess you're in the same boat I am then. I'm not really sure what to do with my life, other than to get the hell out of this Tower."

There's no better way to make your own meaning than to just do what you want, anyway.

He paused, looking up at the ceiling.
"If our worlds really are gone... then I wanna see other worlds. All of them; any one I can travel to."

He could play the hero sometimes. But it was his choice to do so or not, because of who he was, not who his original was.

Humans. Why do they do the things they do?

There was obviously something there, but he wasn't dumb enough to push at it right now. He was quiet for a few moments. "Pit talked with some humans before, but before this place I'd never actually met one."

He looked curiously at Dark Pit. "Really? Who do you normally hang out with then?"

He suddenly felt very young again.

Which hopefully should stop soon.

Slightly hidden jab at Luke? Probably.
"... Well Hades kind of started that one. He wanted lots of people to die so he could use their souls to make monsters. It takes a lot of souls to make one minion."

He made a face, before he processed the rest of what Dark Pit just said. Souls... into monsters? What...?
"I... don't really understand."

Welcome to Nintendo, Luke.

"Weird... and you've had to deal with someone like that?"

... Then again knowing their luck there'd probably be someone else behind Hades. Hopefully not. Reusing game plots is dumb.
