Setting: Dormitory floor four (closed) and floor 95 (open)
Format: Anything is good with me! Starting with action, but if prose floats your boat I'll follow.
Summary: Signless and Psiioniic have a Talk about other residents and timeline shenanigans, and the Psiioniic decides to wander through the castle. He also has a job now.
Warnings: Nothing atm, but will updated as/if needed.

[closed] [The dorms are neutral ground. It makes it the very best place to meet with Signless, because he's still on edge and frustrated. He doesn't know anything that the troll talks about, and he's beyond tired of being left out just because this Tower is cruel.

Now he just has to wait for him to show up.]


[floor ninety-five] [Working for nothing isn't new to him. Not in the slightest. Picking up dead bodies, while gruesome and icky, isn't even that bad. It's strange, certainly, because he would have never imagined rooms being filled with...balls that aren't initially deadly.

There's no bodies at the bottom now, and he's not really even working right now. He's just playing in the ball pit, because he's never done it and it is kind of fun, potential for death aside. It's boring on your own, though.]

[He keeps getting caught unawares. He really, really needs to pay more attention to his surroundings. This Tower is, apparently, dangerous, but... He's having too much fun.

It takes him a moment to catch sight of Tohko, but when he does he just grins wildly and waves.]

[Tohko couldn't help but chuckle as she waved back.]

Thank you for inviting me in! It's quite an interesting pit..I can't say that I've ever been in one of these things before.

I've never been in one before thith tower, either. It'th pretty fun, though.

[He juggles a few balls with his psionics. Is he showing off? Yep.]

[Not that Tohko minded the fact that he was showing off. It looked pretty cool to her, and, without another word, she did hop in..only to toss another ball at Mituna once she had. It was all in good fun though.]

[He manages to dodge that ball, diving down into the balls. Not deep enough that he can move undetected, because he really does not want to get crushed, but enough that he's still about two or so balls deep. He intends to win, even if he hasn't really told Tohko about their battle.]

[Tohko didn't really need to be told of their battle, having been the one to start tossing around balls in the first place. Grinning, she tried to toss balls at Mituna from where she saw him move, but whether they hit or not was another story. She always tried to keep him in her line of sight. She didn't want to get dragged down.]

[He does get hit a few times, but that doesn't matter. He's determined, but perhaps stubborn is a better word for it. He's stubbornly refusing to let a few hits deter him from his magnificent yet-to-be-planned assault. Then one of those balls hits a horn and ow.

A few balls fly in Tohko's direction, but their paths are wobbly and slow. It's really just a distraction as he breaks the surface.]

[Tohko hadn't meant to hit the horn, since she couldn't really see Mituna well from where she stood. However, Tohko managed to move out of the way of a few balls, while one or two others got her stomach. They didn't hurt that much though, and Tohko bent down for a moment to pick them up.

It was a good distraction on Mituna's part.]

[He's pleased to see it worked, and he holds up his hands which...really isn't much in means of truces, because he is psychic. It's still a peaceful gesture, though.]

We thhould take a thmall break, I think.

[However, Tohko doesn't suspect that he would pull off a false truce and attack when her guard was down, so she smiled and nodded.]

Alright then. Are you alright? Did I hit you in a weak spot?

[He shakes his head, but the way he rubs his scalp says that yes, yes he did.]

Thort of? You got my horn, which hurtth a bit, but it'th more of that thort of warning pain. Like, "oh fuck I better get outta thith thituation before thomething worthe happenth." It'th an inthtinct thing.

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit your horn..I'll remember that in the future and try to avoid it.

It'th okay. You couldn't thee me that well, anywayth. [He grins. He's not used to people being concerned over him. It's...really nice to have someone be kind to him that wasn't a fugitive.]

[At that, Tohko sighed..but returned the smile.]

That's true..but I could have been careful and tried to not aim for your head.

Necktht time we do battle, then. [He snickers, hoisting himself onto the staircase.]

Are platheth like thith typical? [He waves his arms, motioning to the floor as a whole.]

[Tohko chuckled and pulled herself up as well.]

Alright then..but I warn you, other than the horns, I won't go easy on you!

However..in my universe, it's not uncommon to find ball pits like this. I haven't seen one in the Tower before though.

[He snorts.]

You better not. I'm not that fragile, you know! I'm very thturdy.

[He crosses his legs underneath him, which is a big awkward considering the staircase, but he's been in worse.]

I think it'th new. There'th been quite a few new floorth added, but I don't know why they were.

[At that, Tohko chuckled.]

Don't worry, I won't! I guess we're both pretty hardy then.

[She then nodded.]

It is new..but I don't know exactly why they were all added. Probably to throw new horrors at us..as well as giving us some fun.

[He doesn't know. Most people look too soft and squishy, without any horns or hard bits to protect them. It's just...strange.]

Well... death doeth happen here. I wath athigned the tathk of pulling their corptheth out of year. [He shrugs.] I don't thee why it keepth happening.

Well..our species is pretty soft..but we can use tools, and we're pretty fast runners, so we're usually alright! I think.

[Tohko looked a little puzzled at that last statement though.]

Maybe monsters or blades are at the bottom of these pits?

[That seems a bit backwards to him.]

Well, all the bodieth jutht...theem to get crushed? I gueth there'th jutht too many ballth for them to handle.

Well..not all the time. But if we don't want to fight or if it would be better if we didn't, then we run sometimes.

[Tohko nodded at that explanation.]

That would make sense..I guess they just start swimming, and before they know it, they're in too deep.

[He nods, staring out at the ball pit.]

It'th thuch a thhitty way to die... But doeth dying in a plathe like thith really matter?

It is a pretty horrible way to die..but I think death, even here, does matter. After all..you might get punished for dying to many times..and if the Administrators are feeling lazy enough, they might not bring you back next time.
