[OPEN] There must be something I can craft
Characters: Captain Jack Sparrow and YOU. Guest appearances by Larry the Creeper and Jack the Monkey.
Setting: Floor 84 - BLOCKS, BLOCKS EVERYWHERE.
Format: Starting with action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Jack's got this. Kind of. Maybe. It's alright so long as you've got a good weapon against Creepers and some tenacity. And inspiration. Being mildly crazy also helps, too. But that's irrelevant. Jack's getting himself a ship and nothing will stop him!
Warnings: Jack is his own warning. Also undead animal cruelty. Also, also creepers.
[Jack's got this. It's taken a while, really, and he's spent the better part of last week exploring this one and trying to figure it out. He hadn't been very happy to find most of the stuff he'd dug out had turned out to nothing upon exiting the floor.
And then there was the Incident.
Jack didn't like to talk about the Incident.]
Any sight of Larry, mate?
[Jack, the monkey, sat atop a pile of blocks, seemingly not very happy to be there at all. The pile of blocks could, under the right angle, look almost like the mast. Of a ship. Because this is totally a thing Jack is doing, yes. Because screw you Tower, he's going to get himself a goddamn ship even if you don't like it. If your character approaches, they'll find Jack working out with a shovel and blocks of dirt, setting out a preliminary design.
Approach at your own risk, lest you find yourself shoveling dirt for him, or being used for creeper bait.]

Son, you're doing it wrong.
[He sighs and saunters over, swaying side by side, so you don't know if he's gonna fall on his ass or if he's drunk or what.]
But the good news is that Captain Jack is here to set you straight.
no subject
I am? But it's worked out so far.
[Not angry just completely utterly confused now as to what this guy knows that he doesn't]
no subject
If it has it only means lady fortuna likes you, boy, but even so, she's a lady and ladies will eventually turn around and feed you to a giant sea beastie for the good of everyone else.
[Not like. He's talking from experience. Or anything.]
So you better be prepared.
no subject
Lady who? And why feed me to a sea beast? I'd just kick its ass from the inside.
[Getting more and more confused.]
Prepared how?
no subject
Clearly, we must begin training immediately.
no subject
Oh shoulda said that from the start! So how's this gonna be good for my training?
no subject
[Jack clicks his tongue.]
Less talking, more shoveling dirt.
[He points imperiously towards a hill.]
You won't get results if you stand here dillydallying about.
no subject
Oh I get it. By digging up that whole thing I'll get stronger. Piece of cake!
[Just pray his shovel won't break or else he'll just have to blow up the hill like when using dynamite.]
no subject
By digging up the whole thing and collecting every block, yes. Watch the technique, I won't tolerate sloppiness, mate, or it's the plank for you.
no subject
That's piece of cake. I wreck buildings without even trying back home. A hill's nothing to worry about.
[He flexes his arm and charges at the hill with shovel slung over his shoulder...that poor piece of landscape is doomed. You murderer of hills!]
no subject
Ah, to be young and foolish again.
[Jack sighs loudly. And then just sort of sits back at the base of Jack's tower of dirt, to watch Natsu work. He wonders if he should have warned him about the power cap in this floor... but then, where would the fun be in that?]
no subject
Stupid...hill's tougher than it looks...
no subject
Mmm, lacks technique, doesn't he?
[Jack nicked away a strawberry from the monkey - half eaten - and popped it into his mouth without a care, as he continued to watch Natsu struggle on his epic battle against the hill. Jack made a loud, chittering noise.]
no subject
Ah crap!
no subject
Ah! You're done with the warmup, eh? Excellent, excellent. Now you can start the main event.
[Ignore the monkey eating berries and hanging off his hair.]
no subject
Wait. That was supposed to happen?
no subject
Well, of course. It's a training shovel. It goes away when you don't need it anymore. Honestly, boy, don't you know anything about how this world works?
[Who's talking out of his ass? Jack is talking out of his ass. Yup.]
It means you're ready for the next part of your training!
no subject
[And who is going along with it. That's right it's this guy.]
Sweet! So what's next?!
no subject
[Jack waves a hand dismissively.]
But that's not why we're here. We're here to make you better. Stronger.
[Jack casually pointed at another hill.]
Now go show that pesky mound how much it should fear your fists, boy.
