Forest of Memories

Characters: Sephiran and YOU (OPEN)!
Setting: Floor 100, which currently looks like Serenes Forest for him (just imagine a really, really beautiful forest and you're golden).
Format: Starting in prose, but will gladly match you.
Summary: Sephiran is moping around after exploring the new floors, having found a place that comes a little too close to home for him.
Warnings: None I can think of yet.

Sephiran had decided to investigate some of the new floors for the sake of something to do, but he hadn't quite expected this. Here was Serenes Forest, in all its pre-massacre glory, sitting here as though nothing had happened to it... as though it still existed. This was the Serenes Forest that he had lived in long ago, the one that he had represented as Lehran, hero of the Herons. It was truly beautiful, nature at its finest.

It didn't matter to him that it wasn't real, that his hands went through the trees and leaves. This was as close to his beloved home as he would get ever again. The sight both relaxed him and stirred powerful emotions in him; though it was currently empty, he could imagine his fellow herons roaming the forest and hear their songs in his mind. He did not weep, but he did not have his urge to sing his old songs again, either. He had practiced once, with that girl, but he didn't count that as a true song. Would he ever sing again? This vision almost gave him a little hope that he could do so somewhere in the tower.

Nonetheless, he remained quiet. He simply stood in the middle of the forest's illusion, lost in a reverie of ancient memories.

"No. I see the home I lived in before this world. To me, you're staring at a wall..."

He sighs and looks around at the room. Did Riki think he was kind, bringing them visions of home? ...maybe he thought he was. Maybe he just didn't get it.

"They...might well be visions of home. Perhaps Riki thought he was trying to help..."

He wanted to sit on that couch, but the indentation seemed frozen in place. He didn't want to disturb it, disturb the image of him and Armaros, both alive and together, living peacefully.

"I don't know. He obviously thought a graveyard was a proper memorial for those who...are not dead but lost to the ruins of home.

So...perhaps he thought a vision would suffice."
