Summary: An elf and an idiot a hero both manage to get ahold of a certain tape playing Lovely Ladies. Oh dear.
Warnings: PG, most probably. Might be updated to reflect current situation.

[Rena: Dormitory Hallways]
When you walk along the dorm hallways, you might chance upon a particular elf that's walking along them with a lovestruck look in her eyes and a heart-shaped item in her hands. Funny what you find in the forest. Cloudy with a chance of flirting, folks.

[Warmage: Floor 3 (Library)]
A certain man is walking along the libraries, not to read, per se, but to think of how to reinforce the place in case of an attack. Call it an occupational sickness, but that's what he had to do at home.

Now why would someone leave a tape of all things in a library? Worth investigating, obviously. As well as a listen.

You would think someone like him would be wary of items like these lying around by now.

Got chocolate from somebody?

Orihime was a little exhausted. She had run all over the tower, handing out her candy-laden chocolate cookies to friends, or to their mailboxes if she couldn't find them. So she placed her last plate of cookies, the extras, on one of the tables, then flopped into the chair next to it with a little sigh.

But when she noticed Warmage approaching, she was quickly pulled from contemplating what kind of book she should look for. She stood again quickly, and plucked her cookie plate from the table. She held it out toward him with a smile and a slight bow of her head.

"Hello! Would you like any cookies? My name is Inoue Orihime, and I made them for Valentine's Day, so please accept one!"

Tohko, of course, was putting some books away in their proper spots on the shelf when she spotted a man nearby, holding a tape recorder. She was too far away to hear the music, and when she walked up to him, she had missed the melody. But that wasn't why she had walked up to him anyway.

"Good morning! Need help finding anything?"

Mn? I haven't gotten any yet. Perrrhaps..... You could be my first~?

[Yep, she just winked at you.]

The melody of the tape induced a trance-like state in him, only to be broken by a girl's voice.

"Wha-? Oh hey. I'm not looking for anything; least not now, since I found ya."

His brain is yelling for him to stop and reconsider what he's sayin- Whoops. Too late now.

What a funny little tape. Just playing some little tune. Nevetheless, he pocketed it just in case it comes in handy later.

While thinking of what to do, how fortunate of him to stumble on such a pretty girl just offering him some cookies.

"Well hello, sweetheart. Don't mind if I do, would be a waste if I passed up on some Valentine treats made by such a pretty girl."

What am I even saying, he's thinking. Stop, stop, stop!

"Name's Warmage, though you can call me whatever you like."

Tohko looked really..puzzled at the guy. Why on Earth was he trying to flirt with her?..

"Pardon..but I don't think we've met before..so I don't see why you think I'm that important."

[guess who else happens to be on the dormitory floors?]

Ah, Rena...

[and then he notices the elf's far-off gaze. Hearts, too...? They hadn't been in the tower that long ...]

Are you... all right? Who did you receive that from?

Luckily, he had found probably the most oblivious person ever, when it came to flirting. She simply thought he was nice. And was really just glad to be sharing cookies with someone.

"Okay! Warmage-san, then."

I'd be glad to give chocolate to a cute girl like you, but...

[He scratches his head.]

I kinda gave all mine out already.

[Oh look, just who she wanted to see.]

Raaaaven~

[And she'll just go ahead and hug him right there.]

I'm more than fine~ And I just found this little thing in the forest. No biggie~

Aww, that's too bad~ No more for little old me~?

[She gives Lancer the sweetest smile she can.]

"Just because we haven't met before doesn't mean I don't find you charming, young lady."

And off he goes, giving the girl the best dazzling smile he can. He wanted to really impress this girl, but why...?

[unteachableapprentice]

He'll just take one of the cookies from the plate, and take a tentative bite.

"Hey, this is pretty good, Miss- uh. Inoue?" He's not really familiar with these Japanese names, unfortunately. "Of course, I didn't expect anything less from a lovely lady like you."

[He stiffens in the embrace at first, taken a bit aback (what is this sudden pda what does he do with it) before awkwardly bringing his right arm up to return it. ...Sort of. His grasp is a bit loose and he's not entirely sure she's all right, even if this isn't particularly out of character for her...

Well. Something feels a little off, at least.]

You found that... in the forest. [He repeats slowly, a bit incredulously.] That isn't at all strange to you in any way?

[How can he resist that smile?]

I can try to make you some in the kitchens if they aren't crowded. Just give me some minutes.

And Tohko gave a nervous smile in return. The guy seemed friendly..but she wasn't sure where all this affection was coming from.

"Well, I suppose people don't have to meet before to form first impressions..I'm not quite sure why you find me charming, but thank you."

[rejecting]

"Ah, thank you, Warmage-san!"

Of course, the cookies were pretty tame by Orihime standards. The most unpleasant combination would be the few cookies that had cinnamon candies stuck in them.

But she was happily shoving the plate at him, so he could take more if he wanted.

"Warmage-san, hmmm... You must be from a different world, right? Ah... Not regular Earth, because I don't think anyone would be named that."

He reaches out for another one of the divine cookies before choosing a random one- the ones with cinnamon candies.

He managed to twist the grimace to a neutral smile in time, though.

"I was supposed to get an actual name after I finished my training, but stuff happened. Had to save the world twice. Didn't have time to get a real name."

And of course, he left out the part where he had help the second time round.

Mn, that sounds like a plan!

Mind if I tag along, though? Want to see how you make it~!

Mn, it is supposed to be a strange tower after all... And it isn't the first time we're using stuff we find on our adventures, after all.

[She's just going to hug you tighter a bit.]

But anyway! You busy today, Raven~?

He's just going to sit down at a table nearby, putting his feet on it, of all things.

"So, ya work here? Maybe I should come to the library more often if you are."

And then he realizes he doesn't even know her name yet.

"Oh, almost forgot! Name's Warmage. What's yours?"

[Okay. Okay this is a hug. Okay Rena, you can let go any time now.

The difference is that back... home, that stuff was usually more or less natural, or at least didn't look so much like someone else could have left it there... [but this really isn't worth arguing, is it.]

Tohko sighed and then smiled.

"I am a librarian here..but even if I wasn't, it would be good if you came here more often! Books are pretty wonderful.

And it's alright. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl. It's nice to meet you, Warmage!"
