Let me be your armor
Characters: A'kin the Friendly Fiend and YOU. Destiny Strings characters welcome and encouraged.
Timeframe: February 14-16
Setting: Dangerous and/or monster-ridden floors all around the Tower (14-16th, both day and night) and Floor 38 (16th only)
Format: Either/or. Please be sure to specify where and when you want to run into him!
Summary: Affected by a 'Pet' tape, A'kin is determined to protect the Tower's visitors- whether they like it or not.
Warnings: Steadily escalating over-protective and stalkerish behavior toward Strings characters, culminating in attempted kidnappings and magical incapacitations on the 16th. Potential violence against Animus characters who attempt to interfere.
February 14th
A'kin stares blankly at the heart-shaped music box sitting beside him in the boiler room, ears twitching every time it hits a particularly discordant note. Ever since the abrupt appearance of these 'visitors', he's been feeling aimless and out-of-sorts. He'd hoped that spending time on one of the Tower's most relaxing floors would calm his spirit, but the restlessness and frustration only deepen the longer he stays and ponders.
He's certain that there's a deeper meaning to their arrival and the ways in which they differ from the Tower's normal residents, but try as he might, he can't puzzle out the dark of it. His attempts at divination have proved fruitless, his conversations have uncovered no revelations, and the admin's public appearance generating only more questions. Jason's words- they can die here, truly and permanently die, with no hope of resurrection, keeps sticking in his brain. Regardless of how or why they're here, he can't allow that to happen. Not to so many people, not when they have worlds and homes to return to...and not when they might hold clues to an escape for everyone else as well.
Suddenly decisive, he stands up and teleports himself to one of the more hazardous floors, scanning around for collarless wanderers before proceeding to the next dangerous locale. Even if he can neither find nor offer answers, he can still provide some measure of guidance and protection.
February 15th
Simply steering them away from the worst of the Tower's perils won't be enough, he realizes. Even the 'safe' floors could land someone in the dead book if they were out after dark or crossed paths with the wrong monster. The dormitories are the only true haven in this place, the one area where the visitors can rest without putting their fragile lives at risk. If he wants to protect them, he'll have to find a way to persuade them to stay put.
February 16th
He can't trust them to stay sequestered in their rooms. Even if he could, he can't trust the Tower's more violent residents not to prey upon them. He can't even keep watch, not when he can only scry them one at a time. With this many lives at stake, the only way he can defend the poor sods is to gather them in one place, safe under his watchful gaze, and prevent them from leaving. After some frantic pacing up and down the stairs, he finally decides upon the spacious and comfortable 38th floor as their new home.
Cloaking his presence with arcane invisibility, A'kin begins his hunt anew.

As for his question, Selphie's eyes drifted off to the water behind him, watching and waiting. "No...?"
