New things were revealed on the network..
Characters: Tohko and you.
Setting: The third floor library, the staircase (anywhere), and then the mailbox floor.
Format: Starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: Tohko, after watching everything on the network in horror, tries to come to grips with things..before finding something in the mailbox floor.
Warnings:..If you can't handle a crying Tohko, this probably isn't the post for you.
Tohko forced herself to pull away from the network terminals and think on everything that had happened. She reflected while walking through the stacks.
Dax, their one ally here, was dead, having tried to overthrow Ruana. She, for some reason, saw empathy as the 'rotting' of a person. Everyone in the Tower was using recycled bodies..and while Tohko didn't know exactly what that meant, she got the basic gist of it.
And the final comments of the first video that had pulled in made her realize that her world wad destroyed. Her aunt, Ryuto, Konoha, Chia, who she was so worried about, and Nanase..
They were all dead. She would never see them again. She couldn't help out Chia or apologize to Konoha. They were all dead. Emotionally drained and hurt, Tohko slumped by a nearby bookcase. Feel free to bother her.
Tohko, having pulled herself up, started to walk up the staircase. She just..had to move, run, and try to calm down. Hopefully Tohko won't run over your character on the stairs.
Tohko, for some reason, had managed to make her way up to the mailbox room. On an impulse, she opened it up..and found a note stuck inside. Quickly, she read it and, after burning the information onto her brain, she ate it, not even trying to hide the fact that she was eating paper in front of anyone else.
With all that had happened, Tohko doubted that anyone would call her a monster for that. However, she had to work..and be very careful about it.

Mail Room
Hello, Tohko.
[ The quiet, cordial greeting came from a far corner of the room. He slowly approaches, bright red eyes staring, unblinkingly, at her. If he's perturbed by seeing her in tears, it doesn't show. ]
When animals are left in a cage for this long, they turn on each other. It is natural. This was inevitable.
Mail Room
Good morning, Wilhelm.
[She sighs before speaking again.]
Animals usually have a proper sense of empathy and usually don't turn on and eat their own kind. This was not inevitable, in my opinion. However..I need to ask you something. I know I owe you a lot, but do you think you could add another favor to my tab and join whatever motley crew I can scrape up? Please.
no subject
[ He shakes his head. ]
I digress. Tohko, I need you to perform one of those three favors now.

[Tohko paused when she heard that, trying to stay calm.]
..And what do you want me to do?

Mailroom
Slow steps can be heard he carefully approaches his mailbox. The right side of his face heavily bandaged, he doesn't see Tohko right away, missing her eat the note completely.
A sigh of relief; nothing inside.]
Mailroom
Good..morning..Akihiko.
[She spoke in between bites, and when she finished, she wiped her mouth and turned to face him. She was not wearing a smile.]
Are you okay? How did you get that bandage?
no subject
[Akihiko perks up and closes his box, turning so that he can look at her. He's never seen her look so depressed, but it's to be expected after everything that happened. Spirits are going to be low.]
...I'm fine. It's nothing.
[He's just missing an eye.]
Are you alright? Did you get something bad in the mail?

Um...I don't know what it is but...it'll be okay?
Library
..Maybe it'll be okay..in about a week..
[She sighed.]
I was such an idiot..I never realized that 'Tower of Souls' could mean that..and I've been believing a lie for such a long time..
[She tried to force a smile. It really didn't work.]
I'm such an idiot..

Did she have something to hide?
Regardless, that was the least of her worries. Instead, sensing her grief, Mihli quietly places her hand on Tohko's shoulder. She's pretty damn horrible at this sentimental stuff, so this is the least she can do for now.]
What sort of librarrian floods her office? I nearrly slipped and brroke my neck on the stairs with the tears you're trailing, Tohko.
[Oh Mihli,
CARING AS ALWAYS!Her sense of humor leaves something to be desired too.]no subject
It..really didn't look good.]
I'm sorry..I didn't mean to cry that much..it just..comes as a shock when you find that a good ally is dead and that you've been living a lie about your universe for months.
[Tohko sighed and..patted Mihli on the head before lowering her voice to a whisper.]
Mihli..I need to ask you something. Would you be interested in joining a team I'm forming? Dax..left us some data in the Administrators part of the Tower. His dying wish was for us to retrieve it. It won't be easy..but if you were to join, I'd be happy to have you.

As such, she doesn't buy that her world's completely gone. Not yet.
The fact that she, or rather, her body might be fake is a bit... more to deal with at the moment, so she doesn't give it much thought, but the idea of forming some sort of resistance hits her entirely out of left field. Somehow she'd spaced the thought, and while she's not exactly very trustworthy of much of anyone in this place, she feels the need to at least consider the offer.
Tohko was a nice girl. She could be trusted. That much Mihli was certain of.]
I could,
[She crosses her arms whilst idly leaning on a nearby counter, voice hushed.]
But humorr me. Who else arrre you inviting? Furrthermore, how would we even work this? We'rre tagged, collared and watched 24/7.
[She'll also let that headpat slide. Mostly because Tohko wasn't feeling 100% and she knew it.
secondly because she actually really likes it, but it'd be better if you could somehow get to her ears and scritch. Wouldn't probably be too wise to try that just yet though.](no subject)

[ It's been sometime since she talked to the book girl. What happened on the network did take a number on Mami, but she wasn't going to shed tears. After all, she had to be strong for the rest. That included Tohko herself. She didn't comment on Tohko eating the paper. ]
I take it something came in the mail for you?
no subject
It did..are you alright, Mami? Feeling okay?
[Like anyone was.]

I'm sadden by the events... But then again, anyone would be. [ Not that the truth was a stranger to her. After all, being a magical girl meant having your soul taken away from you. She opens her eyes and gives her a gentle smile. ] I can only hope that what we learned can somehow help us in the future.
But enough about me... Are you feeling better? [ Asking her if she felt alright was kind of stupid, considering what happened. ]

[ After all the recent and unfortunate events in the tower, Tavros is not really surprised to come across another person who seemed to be sharing his misery, but he couldn't really walk away and pretend he had never seen her. It just didn't feel right.
And so, he collects himself before he crouched down before her. ]
It was a pretty rough day, huh?
Library
That is one way to put it..
[Hang on.]
Oh..you're that boy I was rude to during Halloween. I'm sorry..you were really nice..I shouldn't have acted like that. It was the costume..

[ Just thinking about it made his shoulders drop and the words that followed dragged out in a dull, somewhat miserable tone. ] Man, why did you have to bring it up? I really didn't want to remember how embarrassing that was.
[ When he looks at the girl again, he smiled a little. ] I wasn't very nice either. So ... I apologize as well.

Library
..Not really. It's one thing to see an ally murdered before your eyes..and it's another to see that and learn that you were believing a lie and thinking that everyone back home was alive.
[She sighed.]

[He rubs his head, frowning.]
Wanted to think that too. But I got some people from home here, so don't got to mean they're dead. Could end up here too. Or maybe somewhere else like it that's better and not screwed up.
