Infiltration Plans

Characters: Tohko Amano, whoever she asked to show up, and any random person who feels like possibly dying for a good cause.
Setting: Floor 11, 28th, early evening.
Format: I'm starting in prose, but I'll match you.
Summary: Tohko, after getting Dax's note, has sent out a few notes of her own and told people to show up here to discuss plans. How well these plans will go is anyone's guess.
Warnings: If people like Ganon or Sephiroth try to show up, there will be arguments and scuffles to chase them out. I don't think that'll happen though.

It was cold in the eleventh floor, and the water was frozen, which made standing a little difficult. However, Tohko didn't think anyone would come in here, due to how cold it was..which was why she had told people to meet her here to discuss things.

She had sent out notes and tried to get other people involved. All she could do now was sit on the cold floor and wait for people to show up before starting to form plans. She had never been a leader of a fighting group..but there was a first time for everything.

Especially now.

Cecil returned the girl's smile warmly, surprising herself when the expression comes so easily to her.

"No, it's fine," she answered reassuringly. "There's no need to apologize. I'm not here on any pressing business— merely looking for a way to keep myself distracted. It's... become more necessary lately."

Tohko looked a bit puzzled at that, but her smile didn't fade.

"I can understand why..but what were you going to distract yourself with here?"

"Oh!" Cecil chuckles quietly, feeling foolish for having presumed the girl understood what she meant. Of course she wouldn't know; they've just met! "I am a knight. I was hoping to... ah, rid the Tower of some of its monsters. It's vital I not allow my skills to atrophy."

At that, Tohko smiled and nodded, thinking.

"Ah, alright then. I don't think your skills will get rusty..but I'm sad to say that you won't find any monsters here. At least, not right now."

"I've noticed," the paladin agreed with a small sigh of frustration. "I suppose I'll have to find another floor, or another way to keep myself occupied." Honestly, though, Cecil is a soldier at heart; not practicing her techniques is unnatural to her.

Tohko, thinking, quickly stood up before the woman had a chance to excuse herself.

"I might have a way to keep yourself occupied. However..are you in any way affiliated with Ganondorf or Sephiroth? Please, be honest. If I find out you lied about this later, I'll be annoyed."

Cecil was surprised by the girl's sudden change in tone, but she definitely caught her attention with it. The paladin turned again to face the girl and furrowed her brows in concern. "...I'm afraid I don't know who you speak of. I have only been here a few weeks and I have mostly kept to myself in this time. The Tower is... disorienting."

At that, Tohko nodded, smiling a little.

"Alright then. Have you at least seen what's been going on in the network?"

[proteusmoon]

"Mm," she made a soft sound of acknowledgement. "The... last incident with Ruana and Dax was... disturbing. And Feferi's explanation of what happens to those who are killed here."

"And I can assure you that her explanation is true." Tohko nodded before lowering her voice to a whisper.

"Just before he died, Dax put a note in my mailbox. Apparently, he left some information for us in the Administrator's part of the Tower. He has some security around it to make sure the other Administrators don't get in, which means that it will be hard for us to fight and retrieve it. If you're interested, you could help me and whoever else I pull into this."

Cecil came closer when the girl dropped her voice and she listened intently, intrigued. As she went on, the knight felt adrenaline in her veins again and her body tensed as she took in the secret.

Conspiracy. Rebellion. Hope.

"I will help you in any way that I can." The answer came easily to Cecil. This was her calling as a paladin. If others were risking themselves for the benefit of all the refugees in the Tower, she could not refuse to lend her aid. Helping this girl and her friends was the right choice to make and the white knight made it gladly. "My name is Cecil Harvey. I live in room 3-01."

At that, Tohko smiled and nodded. She was glad that so many people were willing to help out..even people Tohko had never met before. It would make everything easier.

"Thank you. It may take us awhile to get things rolling, due to planning and other things..but I do appreciate your help. It's nice to meet you, Cecil. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl..and I live in room 1-09."

Cecil laughed a little at the title.

"'The book girl'? "There is is obviously more to you than just a love for books, Tohko." She returned her smile, feeling better finally since she'd arrived in the Tower. She wasn't expecting the quest to be easy, but it gave her a focus, a drive, and she was grateful for that. "Thank you for putting your trust in me. Please be careful, and if you require aid with plans, I may be able to help as well. In my homeland of Baron, I captained an airship fleet— the most prestigious and powerful military force in the world. My skills and talents are completely at your service."

Tohko didn't chuckle, but her smile grew a little. So, this was another warrior who had been an accomplished fighter in a war. Mihli was a general, but it was always good to have another military leader in the group.

"There may be, but at my core, I'm just a simple book girl. And don't worry..I'll be careful. I'm glad you'll be joining us if you have such experience with fighting..even if we probably won't use any airships. However..if you are a skilled leader, maybe you can give me a few ideas as to how we can use the elevator without letting the Administrators know we're coming down?"

"A shame, truly," Cecil couldn't help but grin. It made her feel happier to see the girl smiling more. She, like Feferi, had obviously been through a fair share of trauma here at the Tower. If Cecil could ease the pain of that as well, if even a small bit, she was glad to try relentlessly. "We could use the airships for a lot here. But the simplest manner of infiltrating the elevator depends on the technology that the Administrators have at their disposal. A diversion of course is the most common method, but I fear such a tactic may prove harmful to those carrying out the diversion. The repercussions and punishments would be severe, wouldn't they?"

Tohko, oddly enough, felt the same way about the other residents of the Tower and what they were going through. Birds of a feather really do flock together.

"I imagine you could use airships for a lot of things here, and it would be nice if I could ride on one. They didn't exist in my universe. However..you are right about the consequences due to a mob distraction. Especially since a riot was held a few months ago. They'll be on the lookout for anymore suspicious activity and violent riots."

Cecil sighed and shook her head. That was out of the question then. They couldn't put others at risk, especially those who had not volunteered for this.

"Do you know how they monitor us? Is there any way we can sabotage their systems? We will need to cut off their abilities to easily keep track of us. Being new to the Tower, there's much about it I do not know as of yet."

It's alright! Don't worry about it! ^^

At that, Tohko sighed and scratched her head.

"They monitor us with video cameras, but I don't know where they are or how to mess with them. I'm not much of an expert in technology."

"Nor am I, unfortunately." Cecil hummed quietly to herself in thought. She still didn't know many people in the Tower— just Gilbert, England, Aradia, Diarmuid... Perhaps she could ask one of them about this? "I will ask those I know if they would be willing to learn more about the video system, or if they could teach someone what they know about such things. If we can learn more about our captors, we can plan our mission accordingly."

At that, Tohko smiled and nodded.

"Thanks. That would help us out a lot. Could you tell me whatever you find out about the video cameras later on?"

"Of course," the paladin reassured the young girl. "I will do so as soon as I have news. You have my word."

"Thank you. I do appreciate it. I'll let you know if I find out anything else too. If we pool our knowledge, we might be able to come up with something."

[proteusmoon]

"Should we arrange to meet again sometime? All of us?"

[tohko_amano]

Thinking, Tohko nodded.

"..Probably. Gandalf has told me that Dax also sent a note to someone else, so once I meet that person, we'll probably establish another meeting time and place to discuss things. I don't know when that'll be though."

"I see. I understand, Tohko. I wish you the best of luck and I will remember to contact you through the mail system when I have information." She bowed a little to the girl and gave her a small smile. "Thank you, again."
