Dormitory 02-12

Waking up to the feeling of not being able to move was not a completely new experience to Gilgamesh, unfortunately enough. After all, it had not been that long ago that he had expended just about all of his prana and then been overtaken by Saber's Excalibur, and waking up from that feeling had not been fun at all.

But he did not remember falling asleep in a bed. Did he even make it to the couch? Either way, he was staring at a ceiling that was unfamiliar, and his head was cushioned in such a way that--

--Ah. And there was the ability to move again. His lips quirk into a frown as he sits up and stares at ... his clothes. What was this thing supposed to be? Whatever it was, he was better off without it, and so he immediately unzipped the skin-tight suit and began tugging the material off of his arms.

Depending on how long it takes for someone to discover the new resident of room 12 on floor 2, he may be stripped down to half-wearing the suit, not wearing the suit at all, or be in the process of changing into a pair of black pants and an orange v-neck shirt.


Various dormitory levels

After getting out of the dorm room, it's time to properly acclimate himself to his surroundings.
That means wandering around. Gilgamesh doesn't really glance at the nameplates as he goes along, instead focusing on how everything looks pretty much the same wherever he goes. Boring.

He can be seen looking at some of the network terminals as he goes along, though he's not yet to the point of actually operating them. Maybe later, after he's gotten a little bored of exploring by foot. On the dormitory first floor, he's even looking at the open elevator with mild curiosity. Because this floor numbering system is downright odd.


Floor 81

A fascinating display.

Gilgamesh cranes his head back as far as his neck allows, taking in the strange view of the tower that seemed to stretch onward beyond earth and the stars. Seated at the window and quiet in his musings, he wonders if this is a view like what the gods could see. Was this the empty space that Enki sliced through in its devastating drive towards earth?

The mere question sends him back to his battle with Saber, and he finds himself scolding Enki for having failed him at such a critical moment. Because muttering to yourself while staring into space is definitely not strange. (But muttering to a pair of golden swords really wouldn't be much better, anyway.)


Various first block floors

The very idea of exploring new surroundings seems to give energy to the golden-haired man's actions. While he has no set destination on any of the floors he visits, he looks confident; a sharp smile never seems too far away from his face. After puzzling out the elevator earlier, it seemed fitting to go out and actually look at some of the floors in between elevator-visited areas.

[Gilgamesh still looks unimpressed and very skeptical.] Videos can be tampered with. Manipulated. And Heroic Spirits are pulled into vessels as it is -- there cannot be some great mystery to placing a spirit into another vessel. Do not disappoint me by saying you had not thought of this already.

[puppy_lancer]

How about pulling it right out of the Throne of Heroes. I've died here, and come back with my memories full intact. Explain that.

[bowandblade]

[He scoffs.]

I do not have to, because I am the one questioning you. When your 'truth' is full of holes, it will be scrutinized.

[puppy_lancer]

[He gives a frustrated grunt.]

We've got Servants switching bodies coming back after they died. We've got the administrators talking about siphoned souls and possibly restoring worlds. What more proof do you need?

[bowandblade]

Something more than a possibly. You cannot even say your own words are correct, hound! [If Lancer is getting frustrated, Archer is even more so frustrated. This was going in circles.]

Never mind. I will find out for myself.

[puppy_lancer]

Fine! Good luck getting into those administrator elevators. And good luck in not having Ruana eat you!

[bowandblade]

Fool. I need no such luck. [In one smooth stride, he covers the distance between them with the intention of driving his knee into Lancer's gut.] And you are in dire need of having your head examined, to say such things to your elder.

[puppy_lancer]

[Lancer sees the sudden movement, and takes a few quick steps back to avoid the blow.]

It's because you're my "elder..."

[The quotation marks can almost be heard.]

...that I'm giving you a warning. Besides, I've been in the Tower for longer. I think I'm the elder this time around.

[bowandblade]

[A laugh erupts from Archer at the notion, and his eyes narrow as he proudly raises his chin.]

Do not say such absurd things.

[puppy_lancer]

How is it absurd? I've got more experience with this place than you do.

[bowandblade]

And? That changes nothing.

[puppy_lancer]

I'm the one who has most of the information, Archer.

[Which means he has the advantage, right?]

[bowandblade]

[He waves a hand dismissively.] That is like saying you have the most food in a restaurant. I am not barred from getting up and seeking another table's company.

[His anger cools as he describes the analogy, and he turns to leave the lounge.] And that still does not make you the elder.

[puppy_lancer]

Then go. But you should probably go talk with Ruler sometime. She's the supervisor for us Servants and Masters in the Tower. She keeps tabs on us so we don't trash the place.

[bowandblade]

[That gives him pause.]

A supervisor?

[puppy_lancer]

She's a Servant called by the Holy Grail to act as administrator in lieu of a priest. She's the one who keeps us from jumping down each other's throats even without a Holy Grail.

[bowandblade]

[Well, that sounded ... unnecessarily troublesome.]

Because there has been an actual need for such intervention?

[puppy_lancer]

It would've been appreciated back when Saber and I trashed the cafeteria. And, you know, there's some Masters and Servants bent on pursuing old grudges. This guy I know actually had a Servant running after him trying to kill him.

[bowandblade]

[He sighs in what is perhaps an overly dramatic way.]

Like unruly small children with the parents away. How disgraceful.

[puppy_lancer]

Oh come on! We had our reasons!

[Okay, so it was a huge misunderstanding and he had been less than mature, but...]

[bowandblade]

You are also Heroic Spirits. Heroic. Spirits. Can you not stay your hand without someone holding it for you?

[Despite his words, he doesn't sound particularly angry. Maybe a little disappointed.]

[puppy_lancer]

We thought it would be a matter of honor.

...Turns out it wasn't.

[bowandblade]

What matter of "honor" was this?

[Honor. Such a knightly concept.]

[Like thinking that she had insulted his.]

[Like a teacher admonishing a student. Even if said teacher had not been around at all.]
