[o1] ‸^‸ First Song.
Characters:
ocariness and
towerofanimus!
Setting: 1) Room 2-16, 2) At a random terminal in the Tower, later in the day.
Format: I'm faster with [ action ] but I'll go prose if you want to~
Summary:Let's try this again. Link arrives in the Tower, makes a mess, and explodes a terminal.
Warnings: Technology destruction, ELF PEOPLE, blue chickens? Yeah okay, nothing yet really. Those with weak hearts toward dying computers may desire to look away now.
1)
[ When the sleep paralysis had worn off, Link had, fortunately, been alone in the room. She had read the letter and grabbed her things out of her trunk, immediately setting to work on redressing into her Kokiri clothing, because that white jumpsuit was... far too revealing for her taste.
The collar, when she realized it would not come off, was an irritation. It was clearly some sort of magic device, but how did it WORK? Well, this was less pressing then finding and making sure her things were okay. (Surely Ganondorf hadn't won yet...?)
If her roommates were to return, they'd notice a bit of an... eclectic mess in and around her trunk and bed. All this, of course, after she'd donned her Kokiri clothing and armed herself: Master Sword, mirror shield, fairy bow, full quiver, all equipped. What was she looking for, throwing all these odd objects onto her bed and out of her trunk, anyway? ]
2)
[ Well, by now she's found what she was looking for, and maybe you were passing the Hylian hero by when you heard the BOOM. Or maybe you saw the terminal smoking, due to the arrow that had been fired into it after too many buttons being pressed, causing it to beep loudly. The elf-like perpetrator could be seen slowly edging away from the scene with a small, palm-sized blue chicken in their hands. And good luck figuring out their gender, they're androgyny at it's BEST.
... Perhaps someone should put the small smoking terminal out of its misery before a serious fire starts...? Because Link here is... preoccupied with staring at it. The chicken, meanwhile, makes a small mornful crowing noise.
... Um. Right. Help? ]

... Um. Right. Help? ]

No, though like this it could be. Usually though, computers are not dangerous. [He is now smothering the smoking computer with wet towels.]

There really are more pressing concerns, though, perhaps-- ]
Is it true?
[ What that letter said. She doesn't want to believe it. That she failed all of Hyrule. ]

... Then I will find a way to free us.
[ OR SO SHE THINKS. Right, then. Link will be making an immediate beeline to find the baddies behind this because clearly they have some sort of chamber or something obviously marked EVIL BAD KIDNAPPERS. ]

But she does stop, looking thoughtful. Hm... then clearly this dungeon's map had yet to be found? She'd just need to find the compass and map to this place, that'd point them in the right direction. Cojiro ruffles his blue feathers here, as if to instinctively add his opinion. ]
... And of a map, or compass?
[ Has neither really been located yet? You guys are bad explorers and treasure hunters, jeez. ]

... I see.
[ She was used to bitter realities by now. Hadn't Shiek told her the flow of time was cruel? Perhaps she was here for a reason, then? There is some thoughtfulness going on here, mainly because she is not sure how to proceed. ]

Well, she wasn't the best artist, but certainly not the worst. How hard could it be? ]
... We'll just have to look harder.
[ That is really all Link says. She is shy, and not big on talking. In fact, she half expects Navi to appear, but she has yet to spot her. ]

A pause. Should she introduce herself? ... Well, there are some things this boy doesn't need to know, and she is not quite boastful enough to include her own title. Instead, she merely states her name. ]
Link.
[ Nice to meet you? SORRY SHE BLEW UP A TERMINAL? ]
no subject
Link. Pleased to meet you. Is Link a comon name in your world?
no subject
Link would not be a very common name. As far as she's aware, anyway...? She is somewhat shy, though, but... she suppose she should add something-- ]
I... would not know, though. I was raised differently than... most of 'my' people.

... What was he like...? Hylian, or Goron?
[ Because if she doesn't know, then she'll have to assume, after all, and if there really was just someone ELSE with her name, like the Goron, then that was fine. ]

Races. Hylians are from Hyrule, like me. The Gorons are a mountain people.
[ Well, she knew Suzaku'd know if he saw the one named after her, so... ]

... How strange. Did he carry this sword?
[ She unsheaths the blade from her back, holding it up. It's got very distinctive markings, and only the pure of heart could wield it, so if he had it... well. Perhaps her from another timeline? ]

... I see. Then he can't be my Darkness... and you are certain he is not an evil double?
[ She is certain it would have been mentioned if he had had red eyes and been entirely black, after all, like the dark version of herself she'd conquered during her trials within the Water Temple. ]
If so, perhaps he is myself from another timeline...
[ It wasn't an impossibility. Being the owner of the Ocarina of Time, and having skirted two times herself frequently, Link was quite well aware that there could be multiple "times" from which others came. Though the possibility that another of her from one of those times was here hadn't really struck her until now, it... seemed possible. ]

Another timeline? What do you mean? [Did they mean a different world? Like the nations, but no... they had not been aware of other versions of themselves before whereas Link seemed to be.]

But she feels giving away HOW she travels time would endanger the Ocarina of Time, and it isn't even hers, really--Zelda entrusted it to her. So she had to protect it. ]
... I'm able to travel between times. Sometimes it's necessary to return to the past to further the future.
[ She's sorry for the confusion, though. Really, she just wants to know if this is friend or foe. It seemed the former, though. ]
no subject
[Would this mean that for this Link the other Link no longer existed? It was strange to think about.]

/sigh I thought I had tagged this :(
