Setting: Around the Tower's steps.
Format: Starting in prose, but I'll match you.
Summary: After unknowingly eating some contaminated food on the eleventh, Yotsuba gains some strange powers, and is rather..curious about them, so she starts to search for answers.
Warnings: Yotuba will get killed by Wretched Egg, so look out for that. And Yotsuba can control her blood, so..people who don't like that should probably avoid this post.

Yotsuba dimly remembered that dinner on the eleventh had tasted odd, but since it wasn't yucky, not many people payed to much attention to it, chalking it up to the Administrators again, and since it wasn't bitter, no one thought it was poisoned. She didn't give it much thought either, since she wasn't harmed. After all, she was a little girl with much more to do and much more to keep her occupied.

However, when Yotsuba woke up on the thirteenth, she noticed that she wasn't feeling..right. Not bad, just not right. Trying to think of what wasn't right, she got hopped out of bed and started to walk through the dorm floors. When she heard a loud noise from below-probably someone fighting or a newcomer-she jumped, surprised..and cried a little in pain. Turning her head around, she saw small spikes of her own blood coming out of her back.

This..wasn't normal, and curious, Yotsuba started to walk up the Tower steps, calling out the people she knew so that she might be able to find some answers. Since she didn't know how they came out, she didn't pull them back in. They just stayed like that while she climbed and called.

"Dia..Diamud! Edgeworth?! Arada! Hibiki?! Yu..Yukki?!"

Feel free to bother her or help her out.

"Yotsuba doesn't know! I just jumped and they popped out! They don't hurt.."

But keeping your blood out of your body did make one tired after awhile.

"Well, that's good at least."

She reached out to touch one of the spikes. "Does that hurt?"

Hopefully, Aradia wouldn't be cut by the spikes. Yotsuba shook her head.

"No.."

She's careful to avoid the tips.

"And they do nothing else? Just sit there?"

Again, Yotsuba shook her head.

"Yup! Can you tell me why they popped out?"

She really wishes she could.

"I don't think I can. Have you seen anyone else with spikes?"

So does Yotsuba. However, at the question, she shook her head.

"I haven't!"

"So it's probably not a Tower-wide thing. Maybe we should go to the infirmary anyway, to make sure it's not bad for you."

"Alright..where is the infirmary?"

"The second floor. We could take the elevator all the way down and then take the stairs, okay?"

"Okay! Let's go!"

And once again, Yotsuba will start quickly running towards the elevator, looking back every so often to make sure Aradia was in view.

She follows behind Yotsuba like the last time, although she's sticking a little bit closer this time and perhaps walking faster as well.

Yotsuba doesn't seem to suffer from the spikes growing from her back but it's definitely not a natural thing either. The sooner they figure out what they are and get rid of them the better.

Yotsuba will keep on running, always making sure that she doesn't leave Aradia's eyesight. After all, Daddy got mad when she did that, so maybe Aradia would too..however, when she hopped into the elevator, the spikes pulled back into her body when she tensed her body and jumped.

"Oh..they're gone!"

She runs the last bit when she hears what Yotsuba says.

"Let me see that." Except she doesn't really wait for an answer, she crouches down behind Yotsuba to examine her back. There are holes in the girl's shirt where the spikes used to be but other than that she seems fine. Aradia touches Yotsuba's back, careful not to break the skin with her claws, but it's completely smooth.

"They really are gone, did you do something different?"

Her shirt might have been a bit bloody too, but other than that, Yotsuba was fine. At the question though, Yotusba thought for a moment.

"I don't know..hang on.."

Using her muscles, Yotsuba pushed her back muscles forward a little, and the spikes would pop out once again. Hopefully Aradia could get out of the way.

She doesn't pull back in time and one of spikes scratches her palm, but she doesn't react and wipes the blood that's welling up on her skirt so Yotsuba doesn't see it.

"You might want to get them back inside."

Aside from the fact that they are, apparently, really sharp they also stand out a lot. And the last thing Aradia wants is for someone to see Yotsuba as a threat.

"Okay! I have the hang on them now though!"

Happily, Yotusba pulled them back in, unaware that Aradia was even injured, or that other people could consider her a threat.

She gently grabs Yotsuba's shoulder to turn her around. She wants to be clear that the girl understands what she's about to say.

"Good. Now it might be best if you kept them hidden until we get to the infirmary now. Some people might think you were dangerous if you kept them out and attack you."

Yotsuba did turn around, but she looked a little..puzzled at that statement.

"Why would people thing these spikes were dangerous?"

"They aren't normal for humans, right? What would you think if you saw someone with spikes on their back?"

"I would wonder why they had them..but they would be a little cool, I guess."

"But they are also really sharp, aren't they? Someone might think you have them to hurt other people."

At that, Yotsuba looked a little surprised. After all, she hadn't thought of that before.

"Oh! That's true! I'll keep them hidden then! I wouldn't want to scare people!"

"Good girl." Aradia smiles an pets Yotsuba's hair.

Yotsuba smiled at that and hit the elevator button for the cafeteria, not knowing where the infirmary was.
